I ate at this restaurant a few years ago. The food was delicious, if not a bit pricey, but the whole experience was really cool. The waiters walk around with different cuts of meat skewered on metal and wait until you signal for the next go round. So neat! If I remember correctly, I fell in love with the lamb they had. The meat is sooo tender. Oh yummy. more

We wanted to try something different for a special occasion, and we weren't let down. Yes, this is on the expensive side, but it was well worth it. Come with a big appetite. more

To quote my girlfriend when we sat down: ""Ew. Let's leave."" \r \r I admit at first, I was worried too. It smelled like Chinese food in this place - yes, Chinese food. The waitresses were eating their lunch at the front of the restaurant when we walked in. Without standing up, one of them smiled and pointed to a table at the back. \r \r The restaurant was empty, despite a handmade sign that said: ""Line moves quickly!"" Perhaps we mistimed our meal, showing up for breakfast at noon. Either way, the menu offers mostly breakfast foods including omelets, bacon, pancakes, and my favorite: eggs benedict. \r \r I ordered the California eggs benedict and my girlfriend got the Crab eggs benedict. Within ten minutes our waitress delivered our meal. We were happily surprised. The plate was nicely made up. My eggs benedict had large, fresh slices of avocado and fresh grilled turkey. My girlfriend's eggs benedict had heaps of real crab meat, topped with capers. \r \r The hollandaise sauce was buttery and rich and the eggs perfectly cooked. We noticed that my plate was garnished with a lemon wedge while my girlfriend's came with an orange slice. It was a small detail, but showed that they actually care about how they present their dishes here.\r \r We repeatedly noted how tasty the food was, and how wrong we were to prejudge the experience. \r \r Having said this, the place would probably have netted a higher score had the ambiance been nicer. Still, who am I - a tourist - to waltz into a place that is clearly liked by the locals and ask that place to change? If you are a tourist like me, you should be happy that a place like this exists at all. Two blocks from the Prescott Hotel on Post St. sits a great little place for breakfast. more

Delicious but Bustling 7/12/2011

The food was delicious, but the bustle around the table made it impossible to relax. I felt that I constantly had to be responding to the waiters who were almost too attentive and would come over whenever my plate was empty, regardless of whether I had the red or the green side of my disc showing. I did enjoy every piece of meat I tried and though the side plates were limited, they were very tasty. I especially liked the mashed potatoes. The highlight of the meal for my boyfriend was the bowl of bacon on the salad bar. I'm not sure I would go back because though the food was good, there are other delicious places for much less expense which are much more relaxing. more

Very Disappointed 5/27/2011

Based on the reviews, I felt we would have a wonderful family celebration dinner - but I was sadly disappointed in the flavor and tenderness of the meats. The ribs had the consistency of dry sawdust, the sirloin was so tough we could not chew it. we asked the servers for more tender slices, but we got the same awful selections. Maybe we had a cook in training that Saturday night. It certainly was not worth the $575 + $81 automatically billed gratuity. I wish I had asked for a refund, but did not want to make a scene and ruin the end of a wonderful day for my family. more

Great Place to take a male friend 4/2/2011

This restaurant has a fantastic salad bar and the meat is always exceptional. I enjoy eating here with friends who have a large appetite, that way they can really get their moneys worth! Love the atmosphere and the staff, who are always on top of their game more

AWESOME BRAZILLIAN FOOD 1/10/2011

This was great .. a little expensive for family.. but if you want a great date night take a $100 with you and enjoy the best Brazilian food in Atlanta worth every cent, this is not a bring your kids kind of restaurant, so leave the whiny babies at home.. the rest of us on our nights off do not want screaming and yelling and acting out when we are paying this kind of money. more

Stuffed To The Brim! 12/15/2010

I just went there last night, and I still feel full from the meal. The best steak I think I've ever eaten and it just keeps coming out of there kitchen. I had heard about this place for a while, but going to experience the true Gacho, as awesome, I'll definitely be going back there. more

Great for Meat Lovers 11/22/2010

This place is like Golden Coral on steroids. It is amazing. They have such wide variety of meats to choose from. I like how I can start with a salad, and be able to make it the way I want. I can also get as much or as little as I want. When I am ready to move on they use this green/red card system. It lets the people walking around with the meats know if you would like the meat or not. The meat runners just walk around wit huge chunks of meat, and custom cut it for you. Gosh and they have so many different kinds with different tastes that you can't get anywhere else. It can be worth it or not worth it depending on how you eat. You don't pay how much you eat, but rather there is a flat rate that you pay and its all you can eat. I really enjoy this place, and its a neat place to go have dinner with friends and family. more

GLUTEN FREE BREAD 10/30/2010

This is my favorite restaurant in all Atlanta. The management knows all about Gluten Allergies and their yummy cheese bread is GF!!! The meats are all excellent, although there are a few that are NOT gluten free, ask the manager. Amazing salad bar that is included in the price with fresh salads, mozzarella, and much more. I LOVE this place! more

Meatlover's haven 7/10/2010

The unlimited salad and cheese bar was the biggest draw for me since I have been trying to watch my weight. My friends said their assorted meats were good too. We were seated immediately and were able to have a conversation without having to shout. more

Disappointed with the rush 5/9/2010

Party of 7 was rushed in and out in less than 75 minutes. Restaurant was not packed. This was not our first visit. Our rating reflects how we felt when we walked out the door, even though the food was excellent. Pros: Food Cons: Service more

If heaven was an all-you-can eat meat buffet... 2/14/2010

I've always heard stories about Fogo de Chao since I've been living in Atlanta. All good tales of smorgasbords of meat, sides, and cheesy bread. I was nonetheless taken aback when my girlfriend and I ventured there on the day of love, Valentine's Day. It was very busy, luckily we made reservations weeks in advance and were able to be sat immediately. When seated we were given a play by play of how the restaurant works. You have unlimited reign of the well stocked salad and cheese bar. To signal when you're ready for something a bit more heavy on your stomach, there is red/green card on your table. When you're prepared to experience the fine cuts of steak, pork, and chicken, simply turn the card over to the green side and unleash hell. You will be bombarded with ""meat runners"" brandishing skewers of hot, sizzling, meat for your gastrointestinal pleasure. The top sirloin steak is one of the best seasoned pieces of meat I've ever had. I literally said, ""Oh my God!"" at first taste. The ride did not stop there. Turn the card to green again for bacon wrapped chicken and fillet mignon medallions. My stomach was in meaty bliss. And lastly, the Lombo, a parmesan crusted succulent cut of pork so good, you can eat it for then entire meal. Couple this with sides of garlic mashed potatoes, plantains, and cheese bread will leave you feeling more than full. But we can't forget about desert. I ended my meal with a slice of key lime pie so rich and decadent, I told my girlfriend that I needed a minute to compose myself. It was that good. All and all, Fogo de Chao is not an experience for the faint of heart. This restaurant is fast paced with meat runners swooping in all over the place to deliver some of the best meat you've every tasted. Leave your diet at the door and quell any inkling of having fish or seafood. Fogo de Chao is about meat, plain and simple. A culinary experience for the ages. Pros: The best cuts of steak, pork, & chicken Cons: The restaurant floor is very busy more

The Meat Assault! 2/14/2010

This place... unbelievable. The best steak I've ever tasted. It really goes beyond words, the first bite of filet was orgasmic. Oh God I can't wait to go back. And the service??? Impeccable! 10/10 Stars. Immaculate! Pros: Best Food in the world.... Cons: Left in a stretcher from meat overdose. more

great date night, delicious, worth the price 2/1/2010

this is my favorite place to go on a date. Pros: amazing atmosphere, had a blast Cons: pricey but worth it more

All u can Eat Meat & the Salad bar is good too! 10/5/2009

I've been to a few of these Brazillian steak houses and Fogo is the best thus far. Their meats are so tender, juicy, and just plain yummy. They are really fair when it comes to children too. For those who aren't big meat eaters but come to a place like this, the salad bar is nothing to scoff at. I love the palm hearts and artichokes they serve up. Seasoned red & yellow bell peppers, cheese, breads, endives, giant asparagus, procuitto and more... It is expensive, but I think it's worth it. Pros: Good tasting meats Cons: Expensive more
