To quote my girlfriend when we sat down: ""Ew. Let's leave."" \r \r I admit at first, I was worried too. It smelled like Chinese food in this place - yes, Chinese food. The ...

enjoyably different 11/20/2002

My wife and I really enjoyed our dining experience there. The Food was good. I do think they should offer a few more items instead of plantains and pototoes. Also I would have like to have seen some lables on the salad bar. The stuff looked good but would not try for fear I did not know what it was. The service was excellant they were really attentive. more

Lots of food but not timely 11/13/2002

It was good if you wanted to eat lots of good food. However, it took 1/2 hour AFTER the reservation time to get seated. Pros: All you can eat meat!, Good theme Cons: Wait even with resrv., Expensive, Location more

Go Brazil!! 11/10/2002

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere was great, and the service was wonderful. Pros: Great Food, Great value, Great Service Cons: parking unless valet more

UNIQUE EXPERIENCE 10/22/2002

This restaurant offers a truly unique dining experience. The food is wonderfully prepared and the salad bar is fabulous. Be prepared to eat lots. In general, Fogo de Chao is wonderfully suited for larger gatherings than for smaller, intimate occasions. more

Tres Bon!! 8/11/2002

This reasturaunt has some of the best food anywhere. You start off with a wonderful salad bar that would make any resturant jealous. Then, you just simply flip over your card, and food is brought to you until you are filled. You sont have to wait for it, it just comes. Pros: Great food, Vallet Parking, Great service Cons: Little to expensive more

The Yanks are Impressed! 8/7/2002

Our family recently visited my husband's sister and her family in Georgia. They moved there 2 years ago and this was our first visit. Our brother-in-law took us to Fogo's & even my hard to impress husband was bowled over by this restaurant! He was like a kid with a new toy in a candy shop! He couldn't believe how fast not one, not two, but several servers appeared at his side with every kind of meat he loved, prepared exactly the way he liked it, every time he flipped over his marker! (We finally had to take it away from him!) The salad bar was truly unique - I don't know what I ate - but I loved every bite of it! This is definitely a ""must return to"" restaurant the next time us Ohioans visit! Wish we had a Fogo's here in Cleveland! We loved it! Pros: Quality, Service, Uniqueness more

Meat extravaganza 8/7/2002

The food is excellent and you need to come with a huge appetite. That would mean don't eat anything! Service is great! This place is not for vegetarians. more

Excellent 8/7/2002

Excellent eatery for those who can hang. Excellent value for the money. The all you can eat meats served to your taste are fabulous. However, they need to add more vegetables as sides. Pros: Good Parking, Resonable, Tasty Cons: Need more side items more

Meatlovers Delight 7/29/2002

For anyone on one of those low carb high protein diets, this is the place for you. Every variety of meat is seasoned to perfection, Pass on the salad bar so that you can enjoy the melt in your mouth bread. more

Authentic, but be picky 7/29/2002

I've eaten in Bazil and South America many times. This is the real deal! The sausages are unique to this part of the world and this is the only place I know of that has them. Be picky!! Lamb and beef are top notch. Pork and chicken are hit or miss. Hard to find beef ribs are wonderful, but you'll have to ask a waiter to bring them to your table. Only thing that could make this place better would be ala carte service. Some Brazilian specialties cannot be offered because of the all-you-can-eat set up. Pros: Authentic, Quick seating, Lunch = value Cons: Noisy more

It's Even Vegetarian Friendly 7/25/2002

When I first heard about this meat house that my boyfriend wanted to go I cringed- but little did I know it would be one of my favorite Atlanta places. The salad bar is incredible, the waiters are friendly and charming, meat selection is immense and even the sides are tasty. A must visit for Atlantans! Pros: salad bar, waiters, bustling atmosphere Cons: noisy, wine selection, you are "stuffed more

Dining experience to live for 7/25/2002

By far the best dining experience in Atlanta. Brazilian cuisine in abundance. Bring a healthy appetite. Pros: Portions, Taste, Ambience more

absolutely excellent 7/2/2002

more types of meat than you can shake a stick at, and a lavish, spectacular salad bar for a warm up...but save your appetite for the main course, best restaurant for meat lovers in atlanta more

What about proper wine service?? 6/11/2002

This restaurant is an excellent choice for those wanting to indulge in a never ending selection of meats served right off the skewers. Their wine list is nott too bad, there are some decent selections to choose from, but... what ever happened to proper wine service? This restaurant most definitely needs to train their staff on proper wine etiquette. It is a great disappointment to choose a nice bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal and then have several issues come up and interrupt you. A meal at any restaurant should flow flawlessly so that you do not have to worry or think twice on correcting your service. I am not going to get into the exact details about what happened because most people may not have even noticed there was a problem. Unfortunately maybe this is why proper wine service is rare. more

All that meat making you thirsty? 6/10/2002

Try a caipirinha. Fogo de Chao's are strong and mighty tasty (made of cachacu, lime and raw sugar). It's a good, tough Brazilian drink that stands up well to all that meat. more

Wow 5/30/2002

This place is crazy! There is meat flying by you everywhere. It was definitely a unique restaurant, like nothing I've been to before. There is a good variety of meats and the stop and go signs are unique. This is a great place to bring out of town guests, just make sure you make reservations in advance. The food was excellent. I just didn't eat red meat for about two weeks after going there! more

Protein palace 5/14/2002

This place is quite an experience. It's a bit overwhelming at first, with waiters whizzing past carrying meat-laden platters. But once you get the hang of the red card means no/green card means yes system, it's a lot of fun. And the food...unbelieveable. The basics--filet mignon, grilled chicken--are great, but be adventurous. This is the place to try something new. The salad bar is a veggie-lover's dream. If it's green and crunchy, you'll find it here. more
