Okay so I went there, and I was impressed. I got seated by the fire, which was a lovely delight to accent our meal. It was me and my girlfriend, on a busy busy Saturday night. I expected great food, as I've heard from all my friends that this place has awesome meat. But what I soon realized, is that when you describe a place to people, you tend to focus on what they offer, and what their best meals are. You tend to miss out on telling your friends or coworkers what the service is like. The service at Fogo De Chao was impeccable. I mean truly outstanding. I was not only impressed but I could only wish that if people worked like they did at Fogo everywhere in the United States, the US would be the best place on Earth! My server had his hands full, with seemingly like 8 or 9 tables, and you could see him truly care. He would eye a last bite of a plate, and not just walk over to the plates to offer a new plate, he would run. Literally the guy/kid (he looks pretty young) would eye a soon-to-be empty plate and run to replace it.
What truly made it an experience, was when I said that I like lamb, and he asked me in a sincere voice, which I'd like to try first, the leg of lamb, or the lamb chop! I said the lamb chop sounded good, and he didn't just stop there, he asked me how I liked it, well done, medium, I told him how I liked it and Woof! I felt like I was a King giving an order! His pace was very fast, checking the other tables quickly, but then you see him swing by the corner by the salad bar, and whole heartedly start speed walking (as fast as some people can run), just to get me Mint Sauce to try. He said it goes well with the lamb chop and leg of lamb, and that he thought I'd enjoy it. I didn't even ask for it lol! I am a lambchop lover now! and LambChops at Fogo are unbeatable, especially with the mint sauce! My girlfriend is so impressed by the friendliness of not just our server, but most of the gauchos as well. Some seemed in a hurry, but others were awesome because they'd run, and as they were within 1 foot of the table, they'd act like they were just gently gliding, and slowly offer the meat to us. It was awesome service. So if you go there, have the cremebrulee (one of Matt's highly suggested recommendations) for dessert, and ask for some mint sauce for the lambchops. And dig in. And ask for Matt- I've never had a server like that, but then again maybe every server is that good there. He's the first one I had. I usually don't ask for a guys name at the end of a meal, but he was just that awesome, that I have to brag about him. My girlfriend and I loved it, and will definitely be back. Thanks Fogo De Chao.
