I've been to several churrascarias in Brazil including the popular Porcao chain and Marius in Rio. Fogo de Chao lives up to the expectations of native Brazilians, as a long-time friend experienced recently while visiting Atlanta. The meats were wonderful and plentiful, just like the Brazilian tradition. The salad/buffet bar was very similar to the Brazilian restaurants, with a nice selection of authentic dishes including hearts of palm and marinated mozzarella, as well as more ""American"" style salad bar standards. The atmosphere was seemingly a bit rushed, but comfortable and exciting. The cost is much higher than the Brazilian restaurants, however, which usually run about $20 per person plus alcohol. Fogo de Chao was around $40 per person. Not a place for daily dining, certainly, but perfect for special occasions.
Pros: fantastic meats, salad/buffet, valet parking
Cons: cost
