Floor Expo

I went to Floor Expo after a couple of months of searching in other places. I was interested in brazilian cherry engineered wood so coming into the store I knew exactly what price range to expect. I found the perfect match for the floors already in my living room and got the best price for a high quality product. I also ended up paying them to install the floors even though I had previously talked to a contractor to do it at a pretty good price I thought.. Floor expo matched his price. They delivered the wood 5 days before installation, which was great! They told me they would install on the following saturday between 9 & 10 AM and they were there by 9:20. They did an excellent job and completed all of the work (3 bedrooms) by the end of the day!! more

I was at Floor Expo two days ago and tried to find a match for the hardwood floor I currently have in my house. The owner of Floor Expo was very helpful and able to find a close match for the sample I brought. He even asked whether I still have the box of the hardwood and can help me to find it. Two days later I was back to the store and had the product name and product number with me. The owner called me back in 10 minutes and found the hardwood I need. Can't asked for better service for it. Called few other floor companies and visited few big one and they didn't even offer to help me to find the hardwood I need. more

I recently bought laminate floor from Floor Expo a year after I purchased ceramic files from them for my bathroom. Both times I had a good experience with the sales person (Ron) and the service was good. He took the time to explain and answer my questions. The after sale follow-up was good and the scheduled delivery and installation was on time. The installers were professional and done a very nice job. They moved the furniture with care and kept the work area clean. The floor was finished beautifully. more

I urge you to please, please, please go to any other store than a Floor Expo chain. They will take your money and leave you waiting. I purchased granite countertops and a backsplash from them with the promise it would be installed within 3-4 weeks. 5 weeks later, I had to delay my move into my new house since they had still not installed the items. Calls to the sales person were ignored for days and no one would give me an install date. Cons: Poor communication, took forever to install more

The first time around 6 years ago I had good experience when they installed carpet and tiles in my house. This year I went there to get tiles for get my shower area retiled. I ordered tiles but when I brought them home the tiles didn't look good in combination with floor tiles so I decided to return. When I went back to the store the first thing ""oh no, we don't take returns"". After spending few minutes arguing the sales rep realized I was repeat customer so she called owner who blatantly refused ""nope, can't return"". Few minutes of arguing owner said you can only return if the return is within 15 days of ordering (as per instructions on receipt). Luckily the return was within 15 days. I was then told that I will get refunded after 35% deduction and I should wait out 1-2 credit card billing cycles. I waited for the 2 billing cycles and then called their office they said ""oh we are waiting on the tile company to take the tile back then we will refund your money"" (this is not written on the receipt). After few weeks of calling they now bluntly refused to return a single penny! more

I had a great experience with Floor Expo who installed wood floors and tile throughout my entire house. The sales rep was very well versed and the quality of the installation was some of the best I have seen in a while. They put wood on my steps as well and the workmanship was first rate. I am totally dissapointed with the service provided by Floor Expo, Plano. I got wood fllooring done in couple of rooms at my home. I signed a contract to purchase wood with the installation. I don't particularly like the quarter rounds, so i requested to have the base boards removed and then put back. I agreed to purchase new baseboards if necessary. The sales person (C. Worst contractor experience I've ever had. When the contractor did show up he was 4 hours late most of the time. I took off work for a day to be there during the installation, the contractor didn't show up until 4 p.m. and had the wrong materials with him. It took me a total of 3 weeks to get the installation started and finished. I spent over $4000 with Floor Expo and when I had problems with the sale associate and the quality of the installation the owner of this business wouldn't even return my calls to discuss it. It took me over 4 weeks to get some of the tile that was installed wrong fixed. When the workers didn't show up and I talked to the supervisor he basically said in so many words that he couldn't control if they showed up or not. The company uses third party contractors to do their installations and they run several jobs at a time. That's the reason why they would only show up for half a day at a time or not at all. Would never use them again, and they lost the rest of my business for carpet and wood floors. more
