Great warranty repair experience 2/17/2012

I called this morning about a week-old dishwasher with a latch that wasn't working. The person I spoke to said he could send somebody out right away. He dispatched Trevor Haws, who was outstanding. Trevor called me to let me know he was on his way, and had the problem diagnosed before he even arrived. When he got here, he was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He gave me a quick temporary fix for the problem, and told me he had ordered a new door before he even arrived at my house. Before he left, Trevor gave me a great 5-minute primer on appliances, including some really helpful brand recommendations based on his experience with performance and reliability. I'll definitely call and ask for Trevor again in the future. more

Quickly fixed my oven when the ""factory approved"" company couldn't come for more than a week. Service was great, they arrived when they said they would and were efficient in getting the repairs completed. They are the ""go to"" guys for appliance repair. more

My microwave has been broken for a while so I didn't want too fix it cause I thought it would be to expensive. I called FAST and they said I could bring it into the shop and they fixed it in about two days for a lot less than I thought it would be. I picked it up and had it working and been using it ever since. more

My kenmore washer was broken Thursday night and I called FAST early the next day they had someone out there ASAP Friday and he had the part on him and charged me about $250. Saving me hundreds of dollars on a new washer. more

quick fast and reliable 1/31/2011

i called on friday morning to have my oven fixed for a big party i was having over the weekend. jim, came out right away, had the part i needed with him and was able to have my oven working in no time at all. Need something done fast call FAST!!!! they were great! more

I was so redeemed by seeing other unhappy customers of this company. When the repairman came to look at my icemaker and my oven, he didn't even really examine the icemaker but declared he couldn't do anything about it. When he looked at the oven, he said that I would need a new display panel. He called me later to say that the replacement panel part would cost about $700. Frustrated, I took the icemaker apart, discovering that the rotor was jammed, and now it works. I then looked online for the oven part, and found it at Thermador for $276, and at another company WHO MAKES THE PART for $179!! And at another site, I found instructions on installing the replacement part. For nothing performed on my appliances I was charged $141.50. If they had come back to fix the stove, I would have been out another $900 minimum. How can these people sleep at night? more

i called in the morning on friday with my freezer beginning to thaw. with the weekend coming and panicked i thought i was going to lose a lot of steaks and roasts. they said they could be here between 1 and 4. showed up in the window time as stated (that is something you dont see very often} went into the freezer side of my refrigerator and located a heater problem. the tech explained the function of the failed part which made sense to me. he had parts available in his truck stock so it was fixed the first time out. all in all i was really comfortable with the whole operation and would use them again. thanks guys. you made my weekend. cameron Pros: technician seemed to know exactly what he was doing more

""Worst Appliance Service Team"" is more like it 5/22/2009

Being a recent first time homebuyer I took chance (big mistake) on working with these guys to fix an appliance. From what I gather it was a very basic repair yet I was taken to the cleaners with their ""service fees"". Place is a rip off and the customer service stinks. The owner's comments defending the company below are laughable. Buyer beware! more

They won't return phone calls questioning their billing practices and they do not itemize their bills. I called 5 times and was unable to get a return call to discuss a bill. Call anyone but these bandits - I'll never call them again!! more

Boy do I feel dumb 4/1/2009

Boy do I feel dumb! Why? Because I didn't read these reviews (obviously I am not including the ones from the owner....duh)! I was complaining to a co-worker at lunch about how BAD this exxperience was...he whips out his Iphone, clicks City Search and starts reading these reviews that are my exact same experience. Why did I not think to google them? Pros: zippo Cons: OMG read the other reviews, wish I had! more

rude service 2/26/2009

chose this place for all the good reviews, but the service guy who came out, Mark, was quite rude. got upset when questioned about the whether or not the temperature of the oven he just fixed was really what was shown, since he did not bother to check (our initial problem in the first place). he went into an explanation about the broiler heating up, and when i stopped him to tell him again about the temperature, he said angrily, ""Listen to me."" i told him again of our initial problem after his ""explanation"" and he finally pulled out a thermostat to check the temperature, which was about 20 degrees higher than the set temp. his response was ""they're never that accurate"". needless to say, we will never be calling these people again, especially if the owner's response to the poor reviews is that those people are the problem. in this tough economy, treating customers this way is just asking to go out of business. Cons: very rude more

in 26 years of owning this business and over 130,000 completed service calls on the eastside, i dont have a clue who major-mike and missrebecca could possibly be. but if they say they dealt / talked with me and i treated them in a manner not fit for business i would need to say they are either mistaken or well, you know. . but, these 2 complaints and i think 14 to the better business in a period of 26 years, which have all been satisfied, thats a complaint rate of less than 1 in every 8125 service calls. i guess i can live with that. mabe they were the problem, not me. they are more than welcome to call me anytime direct. more

Really poor customer service 11/7/2007

It is always a bummer to have dealings like this one. Paid a lot, got nothing in return accept being ignored, and then told we were idiots for not being able to fix it on our own. Really think twice before dialing this number. Pros: Not a one Cons: Too many to list, just beware more

Wrong Vocation 12/11/2003

I had a very bad experience with First Appliance and would highly recommend going elsewhere. The owner of this business simply should not be in the customer service business. more
