my wife and I have had the same furniture for roughly 25 years and decided it was time to get something new. We just played alone off for a leather living room furniture and decided to call the loan company to find out what other stores in the area that they are affiliated with to make it easier. I was told that the Ashley store near me in Pasadena was on their list. After picking up the furniture and settling on a price it was told by me that they actually do not use that loan company so we decided to go to Gallery furniture. We picked out a new furniture set which was a little bit more expensive.
The total price for this bedroom set was $3400 plus tax and delivery. I did some research and found out that this set is usually sold for around $3000 which was what I was wanting to spend, I had also looked at some of the same furniture that I had priced elsewhere and realized that they inflated their prices drastically, so I figured there'd be some negotiation room. But I guess since my credit wasn't great they figured they had me in a corner and was extremely rude and condescending. So I asked him one last time if they could do a 10% discount on $3400 which would put me just above 3000 and they said no.
So I started calling around other furniture companies and found out that exclusive furniture had the furniture that I wanted at the beginning for a lower price than the Ashley store itself could offer. Also, they had everything in stock, The Ashley Store said that I would have to wait several weeks for the dresser to be delivered. So basically I got the furniture that I originally wanted at a better price and delivered to me the next day and instead of having to wait, I was able to surprise my wife on time with her anniversary gift.
