My favorite hole in the wall Italian 12/2/2011

This is the best Italian food I've found in the SW Portland area in my 35 years here - the pizza is killer! Ravioli, salads, actually everything I have tried there rocks! Staff, atmosphere, and food are all top notch. Not that I want everyone running down to my favorite little hole in the wall so I can't get a seat, but...... Pros: null Cons: null more

Loved this place! Family friendly side and lounge side! 8/22/2011

The bar section is great for after work or school with coworkers or friends. Love the atmosphere as well as the pizza! I'm a BIG fan of italian food so it was a nice setting for me anyways. This particular time i sat in the dining area because i was having dinner with my family. I love how there are two different sections but i enjoyed my food as well as the staff. Ive been to other restaurants with bad customer service and i can honestly say this is the best customer service ive ever been exposed to. This is now one of my favorite restaurants and i cannot wait to go back!!! All around 5 star loved it!! more

I just posted a review of Nonna Emelia's. I did not fully appreciate how good Ernestos was till I tasted the other half of the family fare. For two broithers that grew u p in the same house their representation of food is quite different. One is very good while the other is awful. Ernestos is worth your drive time. Don't waste your time at Nonna Emelias. Along with the food being below par their attitude, frankly, sucks. more

Lasagna to die for! 6/30/2011

Ernesto's has, without a doubt, the best lasagna I've had anywhere around here. The other food is also terrific, especially the seafood fettuccini. Great service. Reasonable prices. Convenient parking. We go to Ernesto's every chance we get and are always glad we did. If you like good Italian food, served in a comfortable environment, give this one a try! more

YUM! this place is my favorite place in Beaverton to eat. The only con is they keep refilling the bread and i eat too much. everything has a very home made taste and feels like i am having a family dinner in Italy. more

Best Italian in town 1/1/2011

Ernesto's has been our favoritE Italian restaurant for years! The food is fabulous and the staff is very friendly. More recently I have ordered the pans of lasagna and ravioli to serve at a baby shower and also new years eve! It is delicious, easy to serve, and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend serving Ernesto's food at your next party! more

My friends from college were visiting and I needed to give them a big treat. The hubby recommended Ernesto's Italian Restaurant and I wasn't disappointed. Great service in a cool environment. more

Wonderful 12/7/2010

First off I am very new to the area(Beaverton, OR) and did not know where to take a few friends visiting from out of state to dinner. A colleague in portland recommended Ernesto's. Little did I know this gem was right under my nose the short time I have lived in Oregon. The food was outstanding and we could not have had better service. The restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was just terrific! more

Love It!! Great service i love it the boss is so nice. if i would rather fly to Albany then eat there i would eat there it is the best love it. go ther dont go anywhere else love it as i keep saying go there now please you will have a blast. you will leave happy. trust me that is a number one restaurt please go i love you will to. Go! I rocks it has awesome and nice service and nice people. more

The best carbonara in town! 10/2/2010

We have dined at Ernesto's many times and each time we are reminded why we continue to dine there. My favorite dish is the carbonara which is rich and creamy with lots of pancetta and sausage. We appreciate that the dinners come with salad and bread. How refreshing to see the owner greeting us at the door and interacting with the guests during the course of the evening. The portions are large which can be enjoyed at home the following day. And, what a pleasure to support a local business. This Italian restuarant is a 10 for me. more

Ernesto's is my number one choice for dining with family and friends when I come to town from Texas. My first and last stop before leaving for home! Top notch food, excellent, personable service. We truly feel like part of the Ceccanti family from the moment we walk through the door! Pros: Family owned - and treat guests like family! Cons: NONE! more

So good! Been my favorite Italian restaurant for years! There hasn't been anything I haven't liked. I really enjoyed the spehgetti carbonara I had last time, though I did require a nap afterwards :o) Pros: food, atmosphere Cons: MY GLUTTONY more

  • Mike Ceccanti, owner of Ernesto's Italian Restaurant, grew up in the family restaurant business. His grandfather, Ernesto Ceccanti, emigrated to the U.S. in 1919 from the Tuscany and opened the Monte Carlo restaurant in Portland in 1927. By age 7 Mike was making raviolis in his grandfather's kitchen and has continued the family traditions of providing casual dining with a healthy dose of Old World charm. Building on his family's traditional Italian recipes, Mike has added his own creations such as Seafood Fettucini & Pasta Classico. While the offerings have evolved a little over time, you can count on finding generous portions of homemade Italian food in a comfortable environment. Be sure not to miss our specialty soups!
