I have had many massages throughout my life because of my chronic back. Some friends of mine got me a gift certificate for my birthday to Eastside Oasis. Nicole, the receptionist,...

I booked a couples massage with the spa and was really excited- from the reviews it appeared that this spa would be great. The phone service was impeccable...until we arrived at ...

Outstanding Pedicure 10/15/2007

I just had the best pedicure of my life with Hong at Eastside Oasis. My feet are heavily calloused, and she soaked them repeatedly and used several methods until she was satisfied by their appearance. Let me tell you, she has very high standards! They looked so great I decided not to polish them. I will definitely use her exclusively for my nails. more

BEST MASSAGE THERAPISTS IN THE SEATTLE AREA! 9/28/2007

I have had massages all over the United States, England, China, etc. and Eastside Oasis has the best massage therapists I have found. The body scrub, shower and massage package make a very relaxing combo. I have gone to Eastside for several years and am really amazed that they always have such great massage therapists. The surroundings are relaxed--don't expect a posh environment---go with the idea of getting a great massage at a resonable price. more

Great services- great brazilians 9/12/2007

I recently visited Eastside for some last minute waxing and nails and had a great experience. I can't remember the name of the girl who did my nails but they turned out perfect, and Stacie did my waxing, including a brazilian-which I was very nervous about but she was very personable and made me feel so comfortable. I will definitely be back to see them both. Pros: friendly staff, comfortable atmoshere Cons: hard to find more

Nail and You in downtown kirkland gives $25 brazilians, and the lady is super nice! 8/31/2007

Wow, the reviews on this spa are so inconsistent! I wonder if the same person might be reposting? Maybe not, anyhow I was referred here by a friend to get a brazilian. She charges $40 for the brazilians and that was the cheapest I could find in Seattle. I went probably five or siz times over a few months and was always helped by the owner. I can see why people would call her rude, she is very quiet and serious. I think she is a nice person, just quiet. I am the same way so I can kind of relate. But then again, she might be in the wrong business , because people should be extra courteous and friendly and outgoing in the spa industry. The reason I stopped going is because while she got most everything off on the brazilian, she did leave spots here and there. A well experienced waxer should be able to get everything quickly and tolerably. The last time I went she wasnt there when I got there, and the receptionist called her repeatedly, in between the calls she told me "no ones picking up, I dont know where she is". Finally she must have got ahold of the owner who strolled in 30 minutes past my appointment time and offered a very incinsere "sorry". Then she said she would take $5 off of my wax for the fact I waited, Okay well how about half off or a better apology? Anyway ladies there is a place in downtown kirkland that I found that charges $25 for a brazilian! The owner does them, she is so sweet and funny and nice! She calms you, she is quick, she gets in there and gets it done! Nail and you, or nail for you??? Its in a brick shopping complex near a park/baseball field. Pros: decent priced brazilians Cons: leaves hair behind more

sasha 8/28/2007

It's a great place to spend the day! I have been a customer at the Eastside Oasis for almost an year and it's been a great experience. The place got just renovated and is even more welcoming now. The masseuses are wonderful and the estheticialns are terrific. EXCELLENT Service! The prices are very affordable for the service provided! I would definitely recommend the Spa for anyone who is looking on how to spend an afternoon at their leisure. The place is also open seven days per week and work late during the week. Perfect work hours that accommodate everyone's busy schedule! Pros: Late hours, great massages Cons: N/A more

EEEK! 8/26/2007

This is anything but a spa. I received a gift certificate and decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was dirty , the floors in the massage room were filthy and the walls dinghy! I would not recommend this place at ALL if you are looking for a real spa experience. Pros: none Cons: none more

GREAT EXPERIENCE CONSISTENTLY FOR 5 YEARS 8/18/2007

I have been going to the EO for about 5 years now. I was one of the very first clients. I originally saw the owner, Charlene and loved my massage & spa services with her. It seems she is always there now even after 5 years and always remembers my name and is still great with all the clients in the reception. I love the remodel they have done. It isn't quite finished but the cork floors and beautiful pedicure chairs are great. I have never been disappointed by any of the staff and want to take this opportunity to thank Charlene for having such a nice, comfortable and affordable place for me to keep going to and referring my friends and family to. My new favorites are Hong for manicure and pedicure, Athena for my Facial, Ashley, Makeda or Debra for deep tissue massage and Stacy for waxing. I know you can't please everyone but in 5 years I think they come close. Pros: Free Parking, Evening Hours, Friendly Service Cons: can't think of any more

Not a spa, horrible customer service! 7/22/2007

My friends and I had planned for a group visit to a spa, and found Eastside Oasis. The prices sounded great, but when we walked in you quickly realize that you get what you pay for, and this is no oasis! The woman (who I found out was the owner) was rude and acted as if we were ruining her life just by being there. The massages were great and the staff was friendly (no complaints there) but the 1 star reflects the attitude of the woman at the front desk, the undesirable surroundings, and the gas station like bathrooms, which were horrible. I would never recommend this place, not even as a joke. Pros: great massage, friendly staff Cons: very dirty, horrible customer service more

Worst Customer Service by Receptionist 6/16/2007

I scheduled a couples massage for my husband and I originally for 3:30pm, but asked receptionist if I could schedule a sauna and shower also, she said we would have sauna first, then shower after massage, appt changed to 3 because sauna takes 1/2 hour.On day of massage, we were running late, I called ahead, the phone lines were not working, I had to leave a voicemail, I said we could just cancel sauna but that we would be there in time for massage and shower. We arrive, and the receptionist greeted me by name as she had gotten my message, she said sorry but we could not do sauna as we were late, so she scheduled someone else...all fine.We had our massages, which were WONDERFUL. But after massages were finished, after having oil put all over us, including in my long hair, I asked how we get to the showers?I said we scheduled them for after the massage. Masseuse said she needed to talk to reception, she came back said, Im sorry but Charlene (I believe that was her name) said there was a scheduling issue, but next time we will definitely get one! We had dinner plans so I was very upset now we had to go out with oil all over us. Reception asks how the massages were, I say wonderful, but Im upset that our showers were not available. She starts talking to me nasty tone, condescending, saying that we were late so she had to schedule someone else, and I said yes, but I called, and shower is AFTER massage, which she knew we would make. She says, our phones dont work, I say, that is not my fault, and you GOT my message, she tried to lie to me, and says I didnt know if you were coming--again-- I called, she got message, no apologies from her at all no offer of discount, no customer service, just blame. Where did they find this receptionist, and if she is the owner, they will not be in business long. I am an easy going person, but she really mad me angry. Knew it was Anniversary, still no apology. I guess you really do PAY more for actual CUSTOMER service. Wont be back here. Pros: Affordable, great masseuses Cons: Very bad Customer service by reception, atmosphere not great, beverage?lukewarm water more

Great spa staff, not so kind receptionist/scheduler~ 6/13/2007

Far as spa goes, people who were providing spa services were great... seemed well skilled, kind, and comfortable. However, I was displease with making the appointment. I suppose it would have been easier if I was going there alone but for group, not so accommodating. For one thing, when I called back to upgrade certain people?s services and told one of receptionists other alternatives if its not possible, she made it sound as if all my requests were possible so no need for alternatives. But when I got there, the services that were requested weren?t all available so some had to settle for something they weren?t interested in. Also, when I signed up for group spa for a bridal shower, I expected to able to talk and enjoy services with each other as we were being pampered. However, in this place, when few of us who were done with the service early start talking to people who were getting manicures and pedicures, we were asked to sit in the front office and wait because we are disturbing the other clients who are getting massages in other rooms. I don?t believer we were particular loud for few girls talking in a room for one thing and also, the whole idea of getting spa treatment together was to get pampered and enjoy the service together. My goal was not to get the services as it was more to have fun with each other to celebrate. Even though I think staffs who were providing the services were great, I was highly disappointed with the service I received from the receptionist overall. I personally would not go back and I do not recommend for group spa experience. Pros: Staff that were providing the service was great~!!! Cons: Receptionist was not welcoming and friendly more

Great service and price! 5/12/2007

My daughter got me a package for Mother's Day! We went today Saturday the 12th of May and had a great experience. We both had facials that were to die for! I went in with the beginning of a migraine and was feeling on cloud nine at the end. Then we had manicures and pedicures which I loved. My daughter's wasn't as great but the woman that did hers doesn't work their normally. Anyway, I give them 5 stars! Pros: Price Cons: None more

Best Facial Around! 3/27/2007

I went to Eastside Oasis last week for a last minute facial. I was very pleased that they were able to get me in with such short notice. My esthetician was Athena - and WOW! I have been getting facials for about 15-years now and this was by far the BEST facial I've ever experienced. She was very knowledgeable and listened to my concerns regarding my skin. She offered me great suggestions to help sooth my sensitive skin. Athena was very courteous and has a great touch! Schedule your next facial appointment at Eastside Oasis and ask for Athena! Pros: Great Facial at a descent price! Free Parking Cons: Still Remodeling more

A Great Place for your 1 Year Anniversary 3/15/2007

For our 1 year anniversary, I took my sig-o to Eastside Oasis for a couples massage. What a great treat!! I can?t think of a better way to celebrate such a significant event together. I look forward to my 2nd, 3rd, and onward anniversary - I am sure Eastside Oasis will be a part of the day. Thank you Eastside Oasis. Pros: Good staff, highly qualified, well taken care of, enjoyment Cons: Remodeling still taking place more

Great Experience from Start to Finish 3/2/2007

We decided to do a Spa day at Oasis after seeing the Pumpkin-Pumpkin Spa Package. in a direct mail magazine. $147 for 3 1/2 hours of pampering sounded great, a bit skeptical though- quite a list for that price. It was AWESOME! We were greeted immediately, whisked right in, given comfy robes and slippers, then a foot soak with chai tea to sip. After a great sauna, full pumpkin body scrub and the BEST scalp massage I've ever had! Smelled so good! After a shower, a full 60 minute massage (I think, it actually felt longer). The therapist asked me questions beforehand, and really followed my requests! Then came the little fruit and cheese snack, off for 60 minute facials, which was good, Christina was really knowlegable. The whole time we just caught glimpses of other people, they timed it really well. Cant believe we got all that for $147. Overall I was SO impressed, I really wasn't expecting a lot for the price, and the reviews on CS are really conflicting - althoug I was pretty skeptical, I think those gals expected Canyon Ranch, because the facility is very clean and private with great service - everyone was so personable and prompt, and I'm VERY picky about that. Its not Jeremy Todd lux - its smaller than others and in an office park, but the inside is nice and I'd rather go twice to a clean, quiet, relaxing place with free parking than pay for lux anyway - and that's just what we are doing next week for BFF's birthday!! I'm addicted. Highly recommended! Pros: Great service, Knowledgeable staff, Clean, Great Parking, Excellent Value Cons: Can't think of any more

Not an Oasis! 2/19/2007

I went there for my birthday. I got a pedicure and massage. I first got my pedicure and the girl was nice but the atmosphere was disgusting! I sat in an uncomfortable chair and it was more of a chore trying to hold my feet up! The place where I get my regular pedicures feels more like an ?oasis?. After the pedicure I had my massage. They didn?t give me anything to wear on my feet so I had to walk on their dirty sandy floor! So disgusting! The massage therapist was nice and she did a pretty good job but I felt so disgusting about the atmosphere and my bad pedicure! Seriously it may look cheap but bad bad idea!!! Pros: lots of nail polish colors, friendly staff, parking Cons: bad atmosphere, dirty, inexperienced staff, gross!!! more

Is this really a day spa? 2/14/2007

I had a message here for Valentines Day. I was dissapointed to see such a mess when I walked in. The slippers that were given to me were wet. The floors were dirty. The ambiance was horrible. Felt like a $10 pedicure place instead of a spa. The message was fine for the price but I won't go back as I didn't think the place was clean. Oh, the sheets and blankets are very old. I am surprised that this location had a rating of 9.3 on here. Pros: Convenient Location Cons: everything else more

Great Brazilian wax 1/9/2007

As an Eastsider, it's been tough to find a good place to get a Brazilian wax. However, I've found a new favorite! As far as service goes, they are very professional, thorough and try to minimize pain as much as possible. Prices are reasonable and the location is convenient. The one downside is the ambiance - it definitely feels more like retail doctor space than a spa, but overall, I definitely plan on going back. Pros: Excellent service, reasonable prices, convenient Eastside location, evening & weekend hours Cons: Feels more like a doctor's office than a spa more

Nothing inviting about this place. 12/11/2006

I was completely disappointed from the time I walked in to the time I left. The reception area is very messy and old. Back desk area is filled with papers. All the towels. robes, and sheets are old, stained and torn. My little snack had mildewed grapes, obviously too old for consumption, a couple of Ritz crackers, not packaged, and cheese, packaged thank goodness. Maintenance rooms were left open and very visible, filled to the brim with mess and junk. Sanitation is a big question. The woman who did my facial was completely uninvolved, she couldn't have cared less. Facility is very small so privacy is an issue. I wouldn't go back even if it were free. Cons: Thumbs down more

Great Value for the Service 11/17/2006

The place is small and somewhat clinical, but for the prices and actual service, you can overlook that. The monthly specials are really worth it, and there hasn't been any other place that I've found that can top the value and service. However, skip the sauna because it looks like a small coffin with lights in it...not for the claustrophobic. Pros: great service, great price Cons: somewhat clinical atmosphere more

Not An Oasis 10/4/2006

So many spas to choose from make it impossible for anyone to believe this one gets repeat customers. Underground dungeon, cold, seriously lacking in peaceful ambience for facials, and minimal offerings for facials that actually address anything beyond a good cleaning. Dermalogica is used all over town because it's cheap. For a real facial that can enact some changes and improvements against the aging process, I highly recommend you choose another spa. This one is in the business for the owner, not for the customer. Pros: Easy to get appointment Cons: Too many to list more
