Received my name & number kit from Eastern Lettering. It was a name and number kit for ORTIZ #34. The numbers were crazy nice and way better than I'd imagine. Short & to the point, I love what I got. Pats dark blue home jersey, needed for a Halloween costume. Ordered it on Oct 25, got item on Oct 29. Fast shipping and had my mom sew it on with her sewing machine. I had a Randy Moss Patriots jersey and I didn't wanna just throw it away because it cost $300. So I called this place and they did a brand new twill nameplate for me for $39.99. It was HERNANDEZ. The Wake County boys club had a youth sports show last week. It included many sports vendors & items, concentrating on sports jerseys, sports lettering, uniforms & more. A few of the companies were giving away free items to help out some of the children. One company that was a vendor was Eastern Lettering. Their friendly owners were on tap the entire weekend. They specialize in sports jersey numbers, including iron on letters and numbers, custom sew on patches, and all types of other athletic numbers. They were supplying the youth with their iron on letters. They had a heat press their on the premises and simply ironed on the patches directly to the childrens jerseys. They stuck right on the back of the jerseys. Very impressive and very inexpensive. Eastern Lettering does several charity events throughout the year, especially when it as to do with their sports lettering & sew on patches. The tackle twill that is used is a good, quality weight twill that is comparable to that used in all 4 major sports. The selection is incredible as well. more

We did a project for the high school football team that I work at. We used Eastern Lettering for the numbers for our jerseys. Normally, we have a vendor that we go through, but this company did a quick job that we needed in a hurry. They provided the tackle twill sports numbers that we needed to place on our jerseys. The sports jersey number craze has gotten huge. Everyone I come across is scrambling for jersey numbers and letters. Whether it be the iron on patches or the sew on patches. You no longer see the cheaper, replica jerseys with standard athletic numbers on them that are screen printed on. Nowadays you see the sports lettering that is 100% stitched on using a zig zag stitch from an embroidery machine. One of the new companies out there is Eastern Lettering. They supply iron on letters and numbers, iron patches, custom sew on patches and much more. When you buy iron on patches from their website, it is very user friendly. Very easy checkout and browsing around in the site is very easy as well. There are other companies that do sports lettering & athletic numbers, but the prices at Eastern Lettering seem to be pretty competitive. The site is integrated with pictures of authentic jerseys & any team sports letter font. I looked over the site and it seems they do everything. There isn't anything they can't do when it comes to sports lettering. You can also choose from prestitched letters (which are simply tackle twill letters with a zig zag stitch around them), or the standard iron on letters and numbers. They both have the quality look an athletic number should have. It also states on their website that Eastern Lettering uses a laser cutter to cut their twill, which is excellent. This way, you get a perfect cut each time whether you're looking for custom sew on patches or badges, or just the standard athletic letter to put onto your authentic jersey. In my experience, a good Replica Soccer jersey is hard to find. The team I like uses some crazy font, that everyone that I have tried to order from, always sent me the wrong font. Some were close, but they were still not right. So I tried Eastern Lettering. They had my favorite team listed in their kits, so I ordered one. They were inexpensive when compared to the other places I've ordered from. And if worse came to worse, and they too were wrong, I could always return it for a refund. Today, A couple weeks after I placed my order, I got my delievery. Expecting more of the same, I hesitated opening it. But when I did, I was pleasantly supprised. They actually had the right font for my team. If I had only known about these guys sooner, it would have saved me time, money and headache. I'll definitely be ordering from them again. My son tried out for my town's little league Baseball team. He go accepted. I got a list of things he will need. Cleats, Cup, special socks, you know the usual. But it was what was on the bottom of the list that got to me. They wanted me to purchase my son a jersey. For their team. Where was I supposed to get a kid sized baseball jersey from? Oh sure, I could find plenty of Babe Ruth or Derek Jeter jerseys for kids, but I was apparently supposed to magically conjure up a Navy-blue jersey with the team name on it (Louisville Cubs) AND his name and assigned number, in the team's colors... After about an hour of searching, I called the coach. I wasn't happy about this, and neither shouldn't be either. He tried to explain that any thick t-shirt would do, if I couldn't afford a jersey... Couldn't afford a jersey he says... and then promptly hung up. That pushed me over the edge. I wanted so badly to take my kid off of his team, but he was looking forward to playing with his friends who all apparently were on that one team. So while at one of the practices, I noticed that one of the kids already had himself a jersey. With the Cubs name on it and everything. I asked his father where he got it, and he told me about Eastern Lettering. About how I could order a Baseball jersey in kid sizes, and then have it customized anyway I wanted it. So I gave them a call. When the package arrived a week or two later, it was exactly what me and the Rep. talked about. My husband loves collecting sport's memorabilia. So much so, that we could start our own museum. But his favorite pieces are his jerseys. Oh how he loves those jerseys. The reason I am posting this on a public forum is because I originally had an old Phillies jersey that the numbers were just peeling off of and I held onto it because I didn't want to just throw it away because I paid so much for it. So I took a chance with Eastern Lettering. I'm glad I did. They took off the cracked & peeled numbers and replaced them with the authentic new Phillies lettering and numbers. Now instead of a beat up old jersey, my jersey looks so new and fresh. It only cost me about $30. So it was a pretty good investment. Hi, my name is Margaret. I brought my Michael Vick jersey into Eastern Lettering to get fixed. The back #7 was coming off because I bought it overseas and it was just kinda cheap. I washed it one time and the stitching came out. So a friend of mine told me about Eastern Lettering. I took it in there and the guys showed us how easy they could fix it for me. They created a brand new #7, the same size & color & everything. They told me to give them a few days and they'll have it looking good as new. They called me the very next day. I run a small tailor shop, and people are constantly bringing me their kids worn football jerseys. Some are pretty easy to fix, while others need completely new numbers to replace the ragged and torn ones that are on them already. Now I don't have the facilites or the cash to use a silk screening thing, and hand cutting numbers is time consuming, and if they are not just right, the customer will throw a fit, I'll have to do it again, all of which is driving up the cost of the repair. There had to be an easier way of fixing those numbers. So on night, me and my wife started searching. We found a few sites that sold sport jersey numbers, but they were asking more than what it cost me to hand cut them myself. That's when I stumbled upon Eastern Lettering. Before I found Eastern Lettering, I though my jersey was finished. I had purchased a replica Tim Tebow Jersey for my father-in-law's 6oth Birthday. When It arrived at my home i discovered that the silked screened numbers were peeling and Tebow was mispelled. Sending email after email to the person i bought the jersey from on ebay, yielded no responce and with my father-in-law's birthday only a few days away, I was stuck with a $100 dollar shirt. These guys helped me out so much, that all of the parents on our hockey team are going to call them. They did a quick project for us. We needed Captain Patches for our Hurricanes jerseys. No one could produce them in such a quick time, except for Eastern Lettering. We had about 14 jerseys and they had them all sewn on them for us w/in 2 business days. Wow!! I was totally impressed. They redid my Jeremy Shockey NY Giants jersey. Got it back it the mail today. I had them remove the SHOCKEY nameplate from the back of my jersey, and they put a brand new CRUZ nameplate on it. It fits over it perfectly. The letters are authentic and you cannot tell that I did the old switch-aroo. It came out way better than I thought. Thanks for saving me like $250. Today Feb 2, 2012 was a time to remember. We have our top sporting goods trade show in Washington, DC. We have vendors from all over to strut their stuff, show their products and prove that they can hang with the best. We have manufacturers of clothing apparel, shoes, headgear, jerseys, & numbers/letters from the sports world. There is way more competition than you think and the prices must be competitive & savvy. There are many wannabees, but only a few will stand out in the crowd. One company we have seen is Eastern Lettering. They seem to have it all together. First on their display table were many different sports numbers from 1950 on forward. They had old styles that I haven't seen in ages. All of the numbers were in top, quality shape. All of the correct colors & fonts were exact matches from what I remember. They were all the right size as well. Not too small or big. The next thing I noticed was their number & letter kits. These kits which are a combination of numbers & letters to complete one entire jersey are an excellent idea. Say for example, if I had a blank baseball jersey (Any MLB team), Eastern Lettering will provide me with the exact style, color, font, size, etc of that team. It will get me the numbers for the front of the jersey, the back of the jerseys, and the name for the back of the jersey. These numbers are 100% authentic and they are to be sewn onto the jersey just like the pros wear. These numbers can be sewn on by anyone with a standard sewing maching using a zig zag stitch. They were all price less than $30, which is a great deal. They can also sell you just the numbers, or just the letters if you don't need everything for your jersey. There are many options here. I saw that they carried kids or youth sized numbers as well as baby or toddler sized numbers. A great place for any sports fan to begin. The most interesting thing that they had was the completely stitched nameplates. They were selling them by the bunch. Most of us have expensive authentic jerseys, but we are out of luck if that player gets traded. I'd hate to spend another $300 on another jersey just for that player to get traded again. So Eastern Lettering has the concept of sewing the players name onto a twill nameplate. For example, I had an old Jeremy Shockey NY giants jersey. He was #80. But now, Victor Cruz is #80. So I can get a brand new 'CRUZ' nameplate from Eastern Lettering and have SHOCKEY removed from the jersey, and have the CRUZ nameplate sewn right over top. It was less than $40 to do this. What a huge savings compared to spending $300 for a brand new jersey. This is why I see this company as up & coming. Recently at a D.C. sports memorabilia show, there were many of the old time baseball & football players in attendance. Fans were lining up to get autographs. Anywhere from jerseys, to balls, to sports cards. However, there was a company that had a vendors booth setup that was selling numbers. Numbers? Yes, they were selling athletic numbers that are made to be sewn onto a sports jerseys. Why would anyone do that you ask? Well, its simple. They were charge $150 to have one of the old players sign their jersey. That's pretty steep sometimes, so I thought, why not have them just sign an authentic team number that the player wore for only $10, and I can have it applied to my baseball jersey later on. What a great idea. The vendor was Eastern Lettering. They were selling these numbers so quickly, the table had to shut down midday to get more supplies from their shop. The line was out the door because the sew on numbers themselves were only $6.00 each. Then again, we took the numbers to get autographed for only $10 each. I mean, the table had everything from iron on letters to custom patches, to sew on nameplates, etc. Anything you could think of, they had. Now my only dilema was, how am I going to get these authentic sports numbers sewn onto my authentic MLB jersey? All I had to do was look up and there was the gentlemen telling me about their custom stitching service. They would take my personal blank jersey, sewn on my autographed number, then sew on the corresponding players digits and sports lettering patch onto the back. I mean, everything was right here for me to customize an entire jersey. This was 2 weeks ago. Well just the other day, I opened up my mailbox & there it was. My completely customized Willie Mays jersey. It was better than I thought. The lettering on the back was arched correctly, the jersey numbers on the front & back were spaced evenly. The stitching work was beyond my expectations. I also have another jersey at home that I will be sending to them. It has iron on letters and numbers as well as iron on patches on the sleeves. I am attempting to change the name & number on them, so they are going to custom sew the new, authentic numbers & letters right over top of the iron on numbers & letters and stitch a brand new custom nameplate over top of the old one. Now this, I wanna see. Stay tuned for the outcome. Eastern Lettering has just opened up their new facility on S Main Street in Wake Forest, NC.
