Stopped here with my son while on Vaca visiting family in Boston, the staff was very friendly, and even more impressive the young man that works there (Mr. Notimportant) was SO nice and patient with my son, who is severely Autistic. Most people are rude and not understanding when it comes to his outbursts. Mr.Notimportant was SO good with him, patients is a rare quality these days. He even gave my son a pair of plastic Vampire teeth that he kept asking me for. for FREE too. The smile on my son's face was priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEST STORE EVER!!!! There website has a bit too much going on, its hard to find things, but they amount of choices they have is ridiculous. I bought a Ninja Sword for my sons 6th Bday that he picked out while we were there. I wanted to surprise him so I ordered it on their website when I got home. A day or two after I placed the order, I tracked the order (to my horror) it said it was out for delivery in Odessa TX not Florida. After speaking with Nancy who was very helpful and after letting her know the situation she told me she would get one out that day and that they would upgrade the shipping to priority (at no charge to me) so that I would get t on time. AWESOME customer service! IT WASNT THEIR FAULT ( damn USPS), yet they ate the cost of another sword and upgraded shipping! What more could I have asked for... Daniel Pros: HUGE selection! I needed 5 Princess Leia costumes for SW based scene. Never Step One Foot In This Store - The Owner Is A Complete Psycho 10/24/2008

I have never written a review of a business, but this was no ordinary experience. DO NOT step one foot into this Costume Shop, unless you want to be verbally abused like never before. It amazes me that this store is still in business given the fact that its owner is a complete psychopath. I walked in with the intention of spending upwards of $200 on costumes for myself and my twin. There was no line (now I know why) so I simply asked her if I could try on multiple sizes in the event that one didn't fit because I'm shopping for 2 people, not 1. The associate snapped "NO!" and so I calmly asked to get the manager because I'd like to get an exception made. She goes into the back and out comes the most vile, evil, hostile woman I have ever met. Keep in mind that all I asked the associate was - "can I try on a small and a medium and have it count as one selection?" The manager takes one look at me and sneers ARE YOU MAKING AN ISSUE? This woman proceeds to yell at me about being difficult, tells me that she doesn't need my money, and this rule has been in place for years and my question forced her to "get up" from her office and "come all the way down here" to waste her time with me. I asked her why she would speak to her customers that way, that I am attempting to spend money in her store and all I want to do is make sure it fits correctly. She literally looked at me with a disproportionate amount of spite, eyes in slits, and said "GET OUT OF MY STORE!" I am not exaggerating. Never in my life have I ever encountered someone who verbally abused customers that way, for NO reason. Not only that, but to be kicked out of a store simply for asking a question about trying on clothes? All I can say is, DO NOT spend your money here. The owner has no respect for customers or people in general. Maybe if she stops making money and has to shut down her store, she will learn to treat people better. Poor Customer Service 10/21/2008

Horrible Customer service in a store! I faced an angry tiny man in a store who was awfully rude to employees and who was rude to me as well. He said that his name is "Notimportant". So if he'd like so I will call him Mr. Notimportant from now on. Mr. Notimportant called himself an owner and tried to start a fight with one of the customers by getting into his face and swearing. Since Mr. Notimportant was 5,5 foot tall and skinny like a stick It was pathetic looking scene. Oh well, I feel sorry for this little really not important man. Looks like his aggravation is caused by the fact that his busyness is dead a 2 weeks before the Halloween. I highly recommend everyone to by your costume at iParty. Have a Wicked Halloween! =) more

WORST customer service I have ever received! 10/10/2008

Now I have never left a review about a buisness, or experiance before, but that is because I have never had an experiance quite like this one before. I had ordered a hat online, and yes I was a little frustrated when I found it almost 15$ cheaper elsewhere. So like an normal consumer, I called immediatly to cancel my order. This was within minute of my original order. I spoke to a woman whom first said her name was Kendra, later found out her name was Nancy. Well Nancy very abruptly said ""yep and hung up on me. I called back to cofirm my cancellation, and another quick response, and that call was over. My final call was after i had found that the hat I wanted so bad was out of stock, so I had no other choice but to make amends and pay her price. Nancy in formed thta she too had just gone out of stock, and started laughing at me. Then she hung up. When I checked online, it wasn't out of stock, it was very much IN stock. So I made my final call to Nancy. This time she informed me that this hat was only out of stock for me. She thought I was a ""nasty nasty woman, and then she instructed me to "" drop dead! Who says that? What owner/manager/or even a customer service rep tells someone to drop dead. This conversation was heard by my entire office of co-workers! They were amazed as well, that someone would speak to a customer in such a manner as she did. Being in customer service for 6 yrs, I have never been spoken to, nor have I ever spoken to anyone in such a way. She is the owner of this comapny, and she could DEFINETLY ""use a course .. especially in customer service! Now in the store the reps may be great, But I would avoid any online transactions with this compay, and it's nice to see that I am not the only one who has been treated like this. She sent me an message making me out to be the bad guy! Just STAY AWAY! This is not a professional company, they have no manners. No one should go thru what myself and Santa Guy have. Pros: Absolutly NONE- Would never do buisness here! Cons: Rude, Horrible customer service, and a nasty attitude from the owner more

Best Selection, Prices, Always Open, Everything you need under one roof! 7/6/2007

I have been shopping here at ECC for over 5 years now and I LOVE this store! They have a great selection, looow prices, (compare them to others) and a great setup. They have an awesome selection of makeup and wigs. Have you looked at thier new Leg Avenue costumes?? WOW! I mail ordered a santa costume from Japan. The description said that it was a high quality costume used for rentals and by department store Santas. The cost for the costume was $239. Shipping and import duties came to another $100. The first thing I noticed about the jacket was that the plush trim on the sleeves did not always lie very well where it was attached to the velour. Otherwise it fitted quite well the outfit looked quite good in the mirror. Then I made a closer inspection of the sewing. Loose threads everywhere! And evidence inside of unpicking and resewing. The worst discovery was a three-inch length of chain stitching that arched a quarter inch over the plush on the right sleeve. This is visible on the outside, and is on the most active arm. I live in Japan and Japanese people quickly notice that kind of thing. I photographed the defect and e-mailed it to the company. Nancy replied and treated me like I was some kind of complaining crank! On the website it said that all Christmas costumes were non-retunable. She did, however, say that I could return the costume, entirely at my own expense, for a refund. This, I suspect was a bluff, because doing so would leave me about $160 out of pocket. The beard set and boots are probably worth that to me. After I patiently wrote to her, finally having to remind her of the company's policy for the return of defective items, her parting words to me were "I don't think that anything anyone does can make you happy. " Previously she wrote (in separate messages) "Send it back. End of story. " "I suggest that you take a pair of scissors and trim the loose threads from the inside of the costume and get on with your life. " When I first patiently, detailed my problems with the finish and the defect she said "Your insults are inexcusable. " So, if you are in the market for a costume, I suggest that you do not mail order it. Get along to the shop and inspect before you buy.
