Incompetentcy 8/17/2011

My husband went to this clinic for a pre-deployment physical for a government contractor. While getting his EKG done the person performing the EKG did not wipe down his skin with alcohol to attach the stickers so they were falling off, she even went as far as taping them on, after two attempts she still did it wrong. Anyways this caused (of course) a false reading. The medical company contracted with the contractor contacted my husband and told him he would have to be checked out by his own physician even though he told them about what happened at this clown clinic. So today he went and had another EKG done and guess what totally normal. I cannot stand incompetent people, especially in the medical field!!! This is peoples lives they are messing with. Close it down!!! Oh and as far as the review from Sophia J: How would you know about the rude & hateful patients and the same ol questions over & over. You must work there. more

Inconsiderate, all the way around 4/7/2011

I have been taking my two year old to this clinic since she was two months old, and she is now over 2 years old. The only good thing I can say is that the pediatrician comes in singing her name (which he never gets right). The front desk staff, as others have said, are completely rude, I've only seen one who smiled at me, but I think she was new, because a couple months later she was definitely not smiling. My kid cried all day every day for the first two years of her life, I had concerns about her development, and different physical things she was doing. During the crying phase, the said at first it was colic. A year later, she is still going at it. He says it's just a phase, and continued to say the same for the next year. All my concerns about her physical issues, he would just say to keep an eye on it...no matter how many times over the next year I told him she was still doing it, or getting worse at certain things. The few times I have went to Elms Creek, I have been treated great. The cordial smiles and prompted check in is supreme. I do have a small complaint about wait times. There is a lag between vitals and the time to see your primary doctor. But the wait times are longer @ Darnall or say Metroplex. The main fix for this area is a bigger or better quality of care. Other than that, I think the Elm Creek Clinic is a fine clinic for the CENTEX area. more

Can I give this place NO stars? 8/5/2010

Hmmm...why do I have the feeling that the review written by Sophia J is in fact one of the front desk girls. Perhaps it's because there is no conceivable way the women in the front have been nice to anyone! I have been coming to this practice for about a year and a half. Normally I would not continue to use a facility where the people are herded like cattle and treated even worse, but unfortunately I like Dr. Mitchell and thus have been putting up with all the sh!t. Here are the issues: The ladies at the front desk are rude and their behavior is DISGUSTING. Be prepared to wait for an ungodly amount of time for your appointment to begin (i.e. if your appt is at 3pm, you will go back at 4:30pm) and don't bother complaining, they will just treat you even crappier. Just because the Dr. ordered a referral, don't expect the office ladies to get up off of their fat a$$es and actually send it through, they won't unless you nag the sh!t out of them. The most unfriendly and unprofessional Dr. Office I have ever experienced! 7/27/2010

I have recently moved to the Killeen area. We relocated from the east coast due a job movement. My insurance assigned my family to Elm creek Urgent Care. I arrived at my first appointment with my two yr old son in his stroller. I approached the sign in window and was not greeted at all. They asked my name in a condensing tone, handed me paperwork to fill out and shut the window in my face. I then waited for an hour past my appt time to be seen. When I was finally taken back to see the Dr. He saw me for about 5 min, did not even look me in the eye when I spoke to him. I was then hurried thru the discussion I was trying to have about what was going on. I was directed to the waiting room again to sign out. I then had to wait for another 45mins from one of the 3 receptionist to tell me I was allowed to sign out! I then had to go back for an EKG that was requested by a specilist. I waited again for an ungodly amount of time, and then waited once I was taken back for another 30 min. Then w more

One pissed off patient 7/10/2010

WOW...by FAR the worst experience with a doctor's office ever!! My children are patients of the pediatrician associated wit hthis, and he's great. The Urgent Care is a mess. I'm pretty sure prison inmates get better care. I went in per the instructions of an ER visit, waited two hours, and this NP comes in, asks me what's going on, and she totally shut me down--wouldn't listen to my issues, and stormed out when I asked for another opinion. Then Dr. Cantu came in, full of attitude, and finally agreed to do something, but only because he knew I wasn't leaving until they did something. Then they both left, the NP came back with a referral, and never even asked me if I had any questions. I am counting the days till my husband retires from the military and I can tell this place where to go. more

Unprofessional, constant chart mistakes, uncaring attitude of staff 5/24/2010

This facility is by far the worst I've ever had the displeasure of encountering. Numerous errors were made in my medical records. In addition, every single referal I received through them - the paperwork - was submitted incorrectly. The Dr himself entered in the wrong referal and it was a nightmare getting it fixed. Tricare wasn't to blame. \r \r They treat you like they are hearding injured cattle. If you are actually sick & must walk-in then be prepared to wait up-to 4 hours. Perscription refill needed? You had better be prepared to walk-in and wait again several hours. Need an appointment for a follow-up, referal or Script refill? Make it, wait a month, then wait over an hour in the waiting room - another 20 in the room it's self - and finally see the Dr only to have him write the wrong script or referal! I was stuck with them as my PCM for 2 years and not one time did I ever have a pleasant expierence. Every visit & there were multiple per year, was filled with careless m more

WORSE CLINIC IN KILLEEN 3/2/2010

This is the worse place you can go for treatment. Specially if you have a serious condition. ok for colds and flu. The worst lady to deal with is a fat small dark completion lady that has a dog face everytime you go their, never smiles always angry she must hate herself... The girls upfront are under her regimen i dont blame them for their faces\r \r This is the worse place i have ever been and beleive me i have run the world\r \r I thank my Lord Jesus after praying to take me out of this place finally it came to pass.\r \r For minor things its ok but that is about it. Dont ever think to go their for somthing that needs special attention. Billing issues 1/29/2010

I called tricare to get an appt for my 1 year old. They told me that there was nothing avalible and i needed to take her to elms creek urgent care.and tricare would cover the bill sence they r sending me off post.This was in 2008. Sence then i have had a collection agency calling me and will not stop. I have called tricare. They will not talk to me because now me andmy husband are seperated. So i went to elms creek billing dept. And talked to a lady atthe front desk. She told me they would resubmit the claim to tricare under a different code.so now i have this collection agency calling me 3 to 4 times a day for something i am not responsible for my husband was the one in the army not me. so how these people got all of my info i dont know. But something needs to be done about this. I had perfect credit. Elmcreek Family Urgent Care has great doctors 12/2/2009

I really like this clinic. I have been taking my children their for about a year or so and they love it. The wait for your appointment is sometimes long, but my kids love their pediatrician and they are always smiling and so happy when their doctor comes in you forget about the wait. I am just glad I found a doctor that my kids really like. more

Receptionists are horrible and rude 11/25/2009

The most unprofessional and disrespectful receptionists I have ever had to deal with. I called to ask a simple question and was cut off three times and told that they could not help me. They told me to call back on Monday (five days later). GREAT URGENT CARE! This isn't the first time. NExt step is to change primary care physicians. Just totally unacceptable. more

Elmcreek Family Urgent Care is ... 10/14/2009

Elms Creek Is the best clinc i have been too in a long time. The girls in the front office are very helpful. Even with all the rude and hateful patients, they still seem to have patience enough to answer the same ol question over and over again...I appreciate the help the girls in the office gave me, as I am a tri care dependant and was having a hard time getting a referral. They helped me all the way until the end. I would suggest this clinic to any and everyone to go to. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!! more

Elmcreek Family Urgent Care is really falling apart 10/13/2009

My familyand I have been going to this place for years, it has been just recently that we have been having issues. I had an appt. last week and wasnt seen until 2hrs after the appt. time, due to the fact that they lost my insurance paperwork. I was seen last week and called today to check on the status of my referral and all i was told is that they were a week behind and that they couldnt help me out. This place has taken on way too many patients and no longer can handle the work load. Advice: find a doctor with a helpfull and understanding staff and a doctor that doesnt over book. more

Billing problems 1/13/2009

I was sent to this office by Darnall on Mar 2007 because they had no appointments available. I then received a bill in the mail. I called and told them I had tricare and they said they would resubmit the claim. I never heard another word until Jan 7, 2009 when they called and said it would go to a collection agency if it was not paid. I called tricare and found out why they did not pay. I called today Jan 13, 2009 to pay the bill instead of hasseling with tricare and she told me she sent my bill to a collection agency and that I could pay the bill but it was still going to show up on my credit report. Why would I pay when they already messed up my credit and then want to charge me more money because they sent the paperwork to a collection agency when I told her I was calling tricare to get things resolved. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! The staff is rude and ignorant. When I first went in they told me I did not have tricare because they were entering the wrong social security number. The are more

Had numerous problems... 12/11/2008

My problem is with the front end staff not the doctors and nurses. I have found that the front end staff will for the most part act in very unprofessional and uncaring manner. I have even been lied to by the manager. She seems to refuse to be bothered with accepting complaints. I have in fact written them up with the Better Business Bureau. I find the situation so sad. The Doctors and Nurses seem to really care and are very good at what they do. I am not the only one that feels that the pit bulls in the front should be replaced with people that care and understand that they are there representing the doctors that took a oath. Hard to get appointment 11/13/2005

Recently I called to get an appointment to see my physician located inside the Elm Creek Family Urgent Care Clinic. I was very dissapointed with the results. I was told I could wait a month and half to see my doctor with an appointment or I could come in and sit and hope to be seen on a walk in basis. I was calling for an urgent problem, not a check up. I asked if they had any appointments other the walk ins as I have a newborn and was told no. VERY HARD to get an appointment here. more
