Quick quality and honest service 10/4/2016

I've gone to Doc Able's twice since moving to Evanston last year and I'm astounded by the level of service they have provided. Coming from my hometown in Eau Claire WI, where my mechanic was my neighbor and family friend, I was nervous to take my vehicle anywhere due to the horror stories of people getting ripped off. Doc Able'service is not that kind of place. I was treated well, given fair prices, and due to this I will send all of the business I can to them. more

Affordable and Friendly 9/8/2016

I've been living in Evanston just over a year now and have found my perfect go-to place for oil changes and maintenance. Staff is ridiculously friendly and personable. They have never tried to sell me anything I haven't asked for. They price their oil changes competitively. And they have offered free advice and diagnoses without pressuring me to have them fix any found problems. I feel as if its almost offensive to compare them to a JiffyLube at all. But bottom line is they come out cheaper, friendlier, and of higher quality service than any JiffyLube or many typical mechanics could ever offer. more

They did what they said they were going to do, and for a great price. Very nice people. I live basically next door so it's great to have them in the neighborhood. I hate paying an arm and a leg at a dealership, and I trust these guys to do as good of a job. more

Great Service! 6/23/2016

Once again, great service at Dr. Able's. Dropped off vehicle at 9am on a Saturday morning for oil change and tire rotation, and had it back by 10am. Was a lot cheaper than I expected, and they gave me a discount for a special they were running, even though I didn't have the coupon. Will continue to go back here for my cars needs. more

This place is EXACTLY what you want an auto repair shop to be like 6/5/2016

I have been to Doc Able's Auto Clinic a few times now and I regret not having used them much sooner. My days of struggling with other auto repair shops (and the dreaded dealership) has finally come to an end! The shop is well-equipped to take care of all your automotive needs, starting with the staff. I met the new owner Pete and he genuinely cares about each and every customer. When you walk in, you'll most likely be greeted by Matt. Matt brings with him a wealth of experience to Doc Able's which is why he is able to educate each customer about their needs. Each time I came to the shop, I was informed of what exactly was going to be done and how much it would cost. If you are like me and you're tired of feeling uncomfortable at an auto repair shop, I urge you to give Doc Able's Auto Clinic a try. They made me feel very comfortable and now I will not be going anywhere else. If you are like me and are a resident of Evanston or the surrounding areas, you should only be going to Doc Able's Auto Clinic for your auto repair needs. more

Reasonably priced but could improve communication 5/19/2016

Dropped car off at 8:00am for routine work: new tires and oil change. Car was not complete until nearly 6:00pm (I had to call to get the status) even though on the invoice, it listed labor time of less than one hour. A midday phone call to me would have helped. more
