Best

It had been 38 years since I had last visited Disneyland. I'm sorry that I waited so long. In its timeless fashion, Disney keeps delivering. I had fun just being a kid again. The ...

I worked at Disneyland in Anaheim 25 years ago. I go there occasionally and find it has gone way down hill. They don't keep the park maintenance up anymore and it is not as clea...

Orlando? 7/26/2002

Ugh, please. Florida has been trying to steal California's thunder since day one. I've been to Florida and Disney world. It's a REPLICA! Disneyland is the original stuff. You can ride on Mrs. Disney's Carousel horse, and see the ACTUAL display for small world that was at the world's fair, and walk through Mr. Disney's old apt. I will say this, I can't stand being surrounded by brats all day long, that's the only down side to this whole park. Aside from the trivia I learn from my girlfriend and the fact that she likes it so much, I probably wouldn't go. Long lines, snotty whiney brats, and expensive food that sucks with rides that aren't fast enough. more

Not as cool as Orlando 7/25/2002

A real Disney experience can be had in Orlando. Much of this park is dirty, falling into disrepair and is too crowded. The haunted house is cool but the rides, including Space Mountain, are mediocre compared to other theme parks. The hotels do not offer off-season rates or affordable package deals (most start at about $500). The separate charge to enter Disney's California Adventure is dissappointing (paying more than $80 to enter both parks in the same day is unrealistic for most people). Downtown Disney's restaurants and bars are a nice new addition, however. Pros: Haunted house Cons: expensive, dirty, crowded more

I Love It 7/25/2002

Disneyland is one of the greatest places on earth. As a child I loved the rides, now I love the parades. Don't miss your chance to go to Disneyland. Pros: Good Rides, Great Shows, Kids Love It Cons: Expensive, Crowded, Lots of Walking more

Just Ducky!!!!!! 7/23/2002

Still the Best--Most Inventive. Besides the attractions it is the best place to people-watch. Look at hte amazement on their faces. more

Too pricey 7/23/2002

How can the so called ""Happiest Place on Earth"" feel good about making the average family fork out $50 bucks each to get in, not to mention charging outrageous prices for food and snacks? I'll admit, I liked how employees were always happy and smiling (I noticed one angry one however!), but then again, I'd smile too if I knew that my employer was making 500% in profits on each visitor. Pros: friendly people, clean Cons: no new attractions, HIGH prices more

Total Blast 7/22/2002

Disneyland is such a blast. It's brings out the kid N all of us. It's a happy fun environment. We love it. It has exciting parades & events. We love all The Disney Characters. It's a place where U can go & forget your cares & not think about anything except Having FUN!!!! Pros: FUN!!!!, Magical, Be A KID Cons: Crowded, Expense, Pushy People more

Still the Happiest Place! 7/16/2002

Disneyland is still the happiest place on Earth! Always clean, always friendly, and always fun. Come prepared with comfortable shoes, a lot of money (everything inside the park is very expensive) and the kid within you! During the summer lines get very long and it can get very hot. IMO the nicest people work at Disneyland, always courteous and helpful! This is definitely an all day park so bring along some sunscreen and take a break during the day! Definitely for all ages! Pros: Fun For All Ages, Worth Price of Entry, Excellent Staff more

Excellent Service 7/5/2002

Excellent food and service. Lines were long though and the price was a bit high. Pros: Service, Food, Attractions Cons: Lines, Price more

a 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7/5/2002

I think Disneyland is the best theme park ever. Once you go in.....all your problems escape you and you really are in a magical place. This place has something all those super coaster places don't have: CHARM and HISTORY. I know the food can be a bit on the expensive side, however, I've been going there since 1981 and the food has improved tremendously. You can always go out of the park for food if you wish! Don't be so picky!! Just enjoy the magic and be a kid again for as long as you can. I""m defninitely looking forward to going next summer for my niece's first visit ever. Seeing it thru the eyes of your children..ahhh....a priceless moment no kodak picture could ever capture!! more

1st & Still the Best 7/5/2002

I finally visited Walt Disney World in Florida for the first time and can say I will never return. DISNEYLAND is so much better. I have been going there every year until this year. I can't wait to get back. I think it is because everything is in one location rather than spread out all over the area like DW. Disneyland doesn't seem as crowded and just seems so much more personal. It truly is the happiest place on Earth - each time I visit, I leave wishing there was someway we could live there! Pros: NO rental car needed Cons: No major waterpark more

Still Happiest Place on Earth 7/5/2002

Disneyland has been my favorite place to vacation for 35 yrs. I honeymooned there and when I had kids of my own that was the first place we took them for family vacation. My last child was born on December 5, 2001 which was Walt Disneys 100th birthday! I did notice on my last trip that Disneyland wasn't as clean as I once remembered but my kids didn't see it. All they cared about was which ride they were going on next and how much fun they were having not the drink cup that some careless person tossed into the bushes. We look forward to our next trip to Disneys Magic Kingdom and the new California Adventure! Can't be soon enough for me! Pros: great rides, fast pass, inexpensive vacation Cons: long lines (expected) more

Still the best 6/27/2002

Although them parks are reaches ghastly prices now, Disneyland still remains the happiest place on Earth. The only theme park good for ALL ages, Disneyland still tanks high with me. more

A dream come true!!!! 6/16/2002

On July 29, 2000, my husband and I had our wedding reception at the Disneyland Hotel. It was superb!! It was greater than we had expected. Just like what Disneyland is known for, MAGIC. Gloria and George more

m-i-c-k-e-y... 6/13/2002

They added California Adventure but you have to pay to get there. Downtown Disney also exists here so you can always go from Disneyland and into Downtown Disney fo dinner and fun (free). Disneyland is great for children..they'll really enjoy it. When you're buying tickets, be sure to order tickets to the golden horseshoe...only those with tickets can get in to watch the show and have some good chili. Also, they have this fast pass thing that lets you scan and in at rides and it will ""save your place in line."" It's been a little while since anything has been added (I think toon town was the last major addition). Food, etc is expensive (like all parks) but you should try the clam chowder bowl. more

still great for kids 6/13/2002

Although the lights nor the atmosphere seem as bright without the driving influence of the imaginitive Walt Disney, my children are still enchanted by a visit to Disneyland. Whether it's a ride in a flying pirate ship or the excitement of seeing their favorite princesses in the parade, the magic still lights up their eyes. As for me, I want them to permanently change the haunted mansion to the ""Nightmare before Xmas"" theme. more

Many rides not running 6/12/2002

The maintenance in this park has really gone downhill over the last 10 years, and the worst has been in the last 5. Many of the rides, popular ones, are under refurbishment (and not operating) because they have neglected the upkeep for so long. Always call ahead to make sure your favorite ride is running - it's quite likely it will not be. more

Disneyland Everyday 6/12/2002

I've had a Disneyland Annual pass for two years and still go at least once a week. The best time is in the winter since the crowd trim down and most rides only have a 15 minute wait. It's fun to just walk around grab dinner at the Blue Bayou and take a ride on Indiana Jones. Be careful of the Monday crowds they are as bad if not worst then the weekends. more

Walt's dream is fading fast... 6/12/2002

It took being on the bobsleds to realize this. All the miniscule details of painting and effects on the Matterhorn is still way better for its time than the airbrushed look on Splash Mountain. The music was out on Space Mountain. The dialog cut out on Indiana Jones. There are now 'designated smoking areas': 2 of them. Even the park itself looks dirtier. And the crowding in the park is getting bad enough that Disneyland should implement immigration regulations. Pros: FastPass Cons: 2 smoking areas! more

The happiest place on earth 6/2/2002

Disneyland has always been my most favorite vacation spot. When you are inside you can't see the outside world unless you go on the monorail. I have been there over 20 times and have never been disappointed. My husband and I are going in October for our 5th anniversary and I know we are going to have a wonderful time, just like always. Pros: friendly people, great food, wonderful atmosphere Cons: expensive, crowded, long lines more

Disneyland is ok 5/23/2002

I've been to Disneyland several times. And i must say it gets boring if your not a kid....The funnest ride was the sky tram that goes over the parking lot...I enjoyed throwing skittles down at pedestrians and watch the expressions on theyre face...But i must admit...They're are still a couple cool attractions...Like Space Mountain,Small World, and Pirates of the Carribean. I suppose itde be good to take a chick there...But if your a teen-30 yr old with no kids...Dont bother...Itde be a lot funner and cheaper to just go watch paint dry! more
