It's a Scam!!! 11/20/2010

They were advertising a car I wanted at a good price so I called and made an appointment to check it out. I saw this disclaimer on the eBay advertisement that the price on the eBay listing reflects a $1500 down payment plus a $1500 payment from the dealership (""doubling your down payment""). I figured that was fine since I would be paying cash anyway, so I would just get the car for the listed price. So I drove an hour and a half to this place, test drive the car, and then the first thing the dealer says to me is essentially: ""You know this isn't really the price of the car, right?"" So then they explained to me how this deal where they double your down payment works - you pay the down payment of $1500, and then on top of that you pay the listed price of the car. Of course this makes no sense at all to anyone who understands basic math. Here is how selling things is supposed to work. It's simple: Price of item = amount customer pays This is not the case at this dealership. They wanted me to pay $1500 and then pay the price they were advertising. My best guess is that this is a scam targeting the 99% of people that pay for their cars with loans/financing. You pay your $1500 down payment, they tell you what your monthly payments will be and the customer who they're hoping isn't paying attention is left with a loan equal to the full advertised price of the car. I would give them two stars for being really nice people, but that's just how con artists have to be to take advantage of people. So don't be fooled by their polite behavior - they're not on your side. As soon as I smelled the scam I walked out. I hope you do too. I would hate to see crooks like these getting anyone's business. Love and Peace, Jeff more

CON JOB 11/14/2010

Had 3 cars listed at great prices. Called to confirm availability before I drove an hour to this lot. When I got to the dealership, all these cars were sold mysteriosly in one hour, but they had plenty more expensive cars. I checked their website the next day and the cars were still listed. I called from a different number and they assured me that these cars were in stock and to come on in. CON JOB CON JOB CON JOB more

Rude; unpleasant; wanted financial type info, including soc. sec number before I even looked at anything; nobody I would trust. anybody going there should be super sceptical more

Great buying experience 5/11/2010

Overall experience was very good. On my first visit, the sales guy Matt showed me the car (a used Toyota corolla) & spent sufficient time explaining me the car features (wasn't pushy) & on the test drive. He was also able to give me a good deal on the car. Their mechanics did a good job in doing the repair work my mechanic had asked for, the car Detailing was also a professional job. The car delivery took some time (around 5 days) but that was tolerable. After-sales experience has been good so far. I have recommended them to couple of my colleagues already. Pros: professional approach, overall satisfied more

Once you've been, you know not to go back 4/25/2010

Wow I felt like I needed a shower once I left, for several reasons. You walk in and it smells like cheap cologne. It's set up like a telemarketer, desks stacked in a row, three inches between them. After a few minutes one of the ""sales professionals"" walks up and greats me with a ""what's up"". Took about 10 minutes to bring the truck around, I assume because the battery was dead, since he forgot to shut the hood. Now the truck, what a heap, it's been on their lot for five months, but they never bothered to wash it. leather was covered in paint, coffee, you name it. It sure did look good in the pics. Didn't want to take it for a ride because it was overpriced and been sitting figured I chat price first. Price is the price I was told, the truck has been sold three times, but fell through. Oh an someone is coming to look at it today, who will probably buy it. Ok good luck with that. You know the whole used car dealership stereotype, this place is it. Pros: Lot's of cars Cons: The place it self more

Great Car; Good Price: Easy Transaction 4/17/2010

I was on the market for another car. I was not impressed with the new cars (and their prices). I decided to look at used cars. I was excited about a car at Framingham Auto Mall. The salesman (Augusto) was very patient with me, knowledgeable about the car; and not pushy at all. He let me take the car for 2 test drives; put the car on a lift so i could inspect the underneath. The business manager (Stacey, i believe) also made the transaction smooth and easy. Everyone was professional and easy to talk to. So far I have had the car for 2 weeks. I am excited about this car (2007 Honda) and the price and the transaction!! And my mechanic gave the car a 2 thumbs up review!! Also, I have one issue after the purchase. I called Augusto on Friday, and he set up an appointment to resolve this for the following Monday!!! I will try to update on this issue. But i am confident that this will be resolved Monday morning (because it is really minor). I would definitely go there again for another purchase. Augusto and Stacey are very professional and the best to deal with!! Pros: pros: not pushy; they had my car!! Cons: cons: nothing more

Satisfied Customer 4/14/2010

We found the staff at Direct AutoMall to be very professional, accommodating, and not at all pushy. They have a great selection of used vehicles, and were always busy when we we were there, which indicates to me they must be doing something right. Simon, our salesman, was energetic and genuinely interested in helping us find the car that fit our needs and price range. There were some minor blemishes, as you would expect with any used vehicle, and Simon personally saw to it that the repairs were made to our satisfaction and in a timely manner. We were very satisfied with our car shopping experience at DIrect Automall. Pros: Professional & Knowledgeable Staff, Large vehicle selection more

Horrible Experience 4/1/2010

I had a very small window of time to get a new car and ended up getting the car at the first place i looked... that was my mistake.\r \r The buying processes seemed smooth enough, it took a few hours to test drive and find the car i was interested in but then the financing piece took another 2 to 3 hours to complete. A long day, but that is expected.\r \r On the day i was supposed to pick up my car, they called me to tell me there was a problem and that it wasn't ready. After giving the manager an earful, they called back a few hours later to tell me there was a mistake and that it is ready. It was ready, however i feel they never registered the car and they also did not detail it.\r \r After about a week, i get a call telling me that I didn't take the right steps to get the car insured. I was told that i didn't need to do anything special but now they told me they instructed me to call my insurance. BS\r \r Another week goes by and they tell me now that the i do not have the correct plates on the car... they told me that they tried to register my old plates but they weren't in my name anymore. More BS... so now i had to get new plates.\r \r Another two weeks go by and i still have not received my registration from the dealership. Had to call them again.\r \r They also promised to actual detail my car, but they have made no attempts to make this appointment for me.\r \r On top of all this, i had to tell them that they never refunded my initial deposit ($100) for the car... this is the shady part. I'm sure there are many other customers that they just never refund this deposit to. Becareful of this. Also, coincidentally on the day they did refund my deposit to my Bank/ATM card, the card got hacked into and numerous deductions came out... i can't prove this has anything to do with this dealership, but with everything else that has happened, it wouldn't surprise me.\r \r Just overall, this was a horrible experience. I wish i looked elsewhere because i would have really liked to give my business to someone that knows what they are doing.\r \r My car seems okay but it's still not detailed and i really don't trust these people. Also, when i declined the initial warranty offer, they immediately offered it to me again but $500 less than the first offer. Just be careful of these guys... they do have good prices though. \r \r Pros: Car seems okay so far Cons: Unorganized Dealership more

Terrible Buisness 2/16/2010

I went to look at a car there and initially had issues with getting financed so I went to my own bank and was instantly approved for a loan but not for the car I wanted due to it being listed as having frame damage (no wonder they couldn't get me financed). The carfax report they showed me was obviously fake and I was told that the car had no accidents but it was in fact listed at the auction they bought the car from as having major damage. There is more when I went to get my deposit back from them I was told no one was there to cut me a check and that they would mail it out to me. After a week and not receiving my deposit I called back to figure out if they had even mailed it out and could not get an answer they had no idea because the finance person was not in. I was assured I would get a call back on the next day to find out the status of my deposit. 3 days later I again called to find out about my money and it had not been sent out as promised. When I started to voice my unhappiness with their business practices I was told that they were NOT going to mail it out and I have to now come and pick it up because I was rude to them over the phone. They are by far the worst car dealer I have ever been to granted they were great up until I explained why I wasn't going to buy from them but after being lied to why would I even consider giving them another cent. Stay away from this place and their shady business practices. Cons: customer service/ bad cars more

Very Positive Experience and a great price! 12/16/2009

I typically don't take the time to sit and write reviews on line but I felt compelled to write this one. Excellent job guys!! This was one of the most hassle free experiences in purchasing a vehicle I've ever had. Simon was my sales rep and for a very young guy, he couldn't be any more professional. The price for the vehicle I was looking for was the best on the internet. Turns out, after talking with these guys, that's all done by design. I was very surprised to find a used car dealership to have such a plentiful selection of quality vehicles. As a matter of fact, I didn't see one dog in the whole bunch. After purchasing my new 'pre-owned' vehicle I discovered a rear seat belt buckle was missing. Previous owner removed it for some reason or another but after contacting Jim (sales manager), I had a new buckle installed within two days! I also contacted Simon and asked if he could dig up the owners manual for my SUV and he in turn contacted the original dealership and had it mailed out immediately. I would definitely refer Direct Auto Mall and would easily consider doing further business with them in the future. Pros: Pleasant Diligent Reps, Best deals on the web Cons: None here! more

Great Place to Buy a Vehcile.... 12/9/2009

They were not pushy and they were \r up front and honest about everything,. Jim stood by his word and delivered the vehicle without any quirks and detailed to profection. Best buying experience I have \r ever had. Thanks for just a great experience.....\r Pros: Great Deals.... more

Pushy and Insulting 12/2/2009

The salesperson I dealt with was nice (Agusto). His manager, however, was extremely pushy. I got the feeling some of the employees didn't even like working for him. First he was extremely pushy. I took two cars to my mechanic to have them checked out. The first one didn't even have oil in it! My mechanic put some oil in it. (I don't think he charged them, either.) I bring another car to them, and there's water in the trunk, and the transmission's slipping. My mechanic wouldn't even raise it up. His response, ""Any car for $7,000 is gonna have problems."" He then got angry, backhandedly insulted my mechanic (who gave him oil) and then insulted me with a, ""Good luck finding a car for $7,000 with no problems."" This man clearly did not understand cars, and did not want to admit it or the fact that my mechanic is better than his. And the ironic thing is he's always touting, ""You won't find a better car dealership than us."" Wanna bet? They're also an A-rated Better Business Beureau accredited institution. Hopefully not for much longer. Pros: Large selection of cars Cons: Horrible customer service more

Horrible Horrible Horrible 11/27/2009

These are bunch of thieves. They sold me a car and asked for a check... two weeks later the car check engine light was on and since then I paid 1000 and 1000 of dollars to fix it and it is still there. They are bunch of liars and I think now that they have a bad reputation they changed the name to Auto DIrect. BEWARE these are the same guys in a new setting. DON'T go there and DON'T do any business with them. I am looking into getting a lawyer and sue them. Pros: No pros Cons: it's all about Con more

Worth the wait 11/19/2009

I purchased a 2004 BMW from F.A.M. and I noticed there was a defect in the sun shade for the moonroof. Not only did Jim, the general sales manager bust his hump searching high and low to find a new one, but they also detailed the car so well that it looked like new by the time I picked it up. The search for the obscure part set the delivery date back a bit, but Jim called me every day and updated me on where the part was and when it was expected in, and when I'd finally be able to pick up the car. It took an extra week, but I now own what looks and feels like a new BMW for the price of a much older one. Pros: Excellent car and service Cons: Location more

Great vehichles, friendly salespeople. 9/13/2009

My overall experience thus far was a positive one, picking up my vehichle in a couple of days, at the Auto Mall. The selection was terrific and the sales and financing people were great. I had my own financing but opted to use theirs at a better rate. Big Kudos! I knew what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend and achieved both with minimal haggling.\r The Auto Mall is one of those middle of the road places and you should know that before going in there. They have great cars but they're still a used car dealership. Their volume is big and it seems to take some time before they detail and service the cars that are sold. You are a little too close to other customers when trying to make a deal as the desks are close to each other. I think people who wrote other reviews expected new/large dealership service. \r Overall, if you want a great car at a good price and don't want all the fluff the AutoMall is the place. Pros: nice selection, no-nonsense atmosphere. Cons: a little rough around the edges(service, buying process) more
