DB's Plumbing & Drain

Many issues with a recent whole house repipe. I was recommended pex which was not a choice i would have made on my own. I wanted copper but was told pex would save me on drywall repair. More on that later. The workers were great guys. Showed up on time and completed the pipe work on budget. There are issues with the work though. First off they were cutting the drywall with hand saws rather than spinning saw. Makes for longer completion time and sloppier cuts. They did not cut stud to stud they just cut holes that are uneven. Even after asking for them to square the holes off they were still very sloppy. This adds to drywalling time. Now for the really bad. They removed an entire ceiling in my home in the laundry room unnecessarily. The drywaller told me that it could have been done with a small hole. Before they left i pointed out my dissatisfaction with the missing ceiling and would not sign off on the work as satisfactory. Now for the awful. The owner of the company then went on a tirade on the phone and with more than 10 emails in less than a day threatening me with the sheriff telling me i was berating him telling me this was personal because i would not sign off on work without getting my drywaller to look first to estimate the damage. Mind you i paid less than 24 hours after the work was completed. They sent me an invoice with pictures of the work that showed all areas except for the ceiling. The owner agreed to give me a $300 credit toward the cost of drywall repair if i would sign off on the work and threatened to rescind this offer if i did not accept it without consulting the drywaller first. He was very unprofessional and heated for no good reason. Ive been told by this drywaller that the actual replacement cost of that ceiling will be $1400 and that his company does the same work eg whole house repipe with pex for the exact same amount they did it for but they replace the drywall as they go for no extra charge. They also changed my hose bibs from frost free to regular without telling me beforehand and they did not install them with a shut off valve with bleeder and access panel. Very upset that they only sent out 2 guys to do the work one who seemed to be training and that i am ending up spending an extra 2-3000 dollars on this job unnecessarily. I hope this review saves others the time money and headache that i am having to deal with. more

Shane D was "amazing"! He came to service my shut off valves for the washer. He had to cut the drywall and did a really neat job. When he finished I could easily repair the wall. He was very careful and respectful and explained exactly what he needed to do. I used this service before and they always send great people to my home. more

Shane was wonderful and he should get 10+ stars. Also, when I called and explained my problem the woman said I can send Shane asap. He was here right on schedule and was so above and beyond. more

Shane & Rachel were extremely helpful in setting up my appointment with regards to a leaky garbage disposal and in walking us through the issue and getting it resolved. They took the time to explain the issue and were not pushy in trying to add or push additional services or items that were not germane to the original problem. Definitely would reccomend DB Plumbing for future jobs! more

Zack arrived on-time and performed the work without issue. He was very clear in what was needed for the repairs and completed the work quickly and efficiently. I will be be using DB's Plumbing & Drain for other plumbing work in the near term, we were very happy with their work. more

I've had DB's come out to my home 2 times now. When my hot water heater went, Tommy B replaced it and when my basement appeared to have a mysterious flood, he also came out to confirm for me that it was most likely my neighbor (I live in a town home) whom I share a wall with, had an A/C leak. He was right! I cannot say enough good things about this company or about Tommy B. They are professional, courteous, kind and work quickly and neatly. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber. more

I've used DB's Plumbing and Drain for many years, and they are always reliable and always competently complete the job. The most extensive work they have done is to replace a drain pipe from inside the house to the septic tank. Dave Buky used a camera to show me the interior of the pipe and where it had broken. The work was completed within a day, and grass replaced over the septic tank area that had been dug up. Most recently, a stopped up toilet was augured. I would recommend DB's Plumbing and Drain without reservation. more

I was introduced to DB's Plumbing & Drain four years ago. They have done several jobs since I first used them, including installing a Water Heater, sump pump, replaced a leaky toilet, garbage disposal and kitchen faucets. Chris was right on scheduled time for repairs. After I explained problem of faulty PVC trap caused by ability to inadvertently move sink and place stress on PVC joint, he clearly proposed a solution to problem which satisfactorily corrected problem. After my expressing concern regarding ability to recognize if water might be accumulating in drain pan under water heater he recently installed, he suggested installation of a High Water Alarm on pan. An excellent suggestion! Highly recommend Chris for doing skilled plumbing work and his wonderful ability to interface with custome. more

We discovered a leak in our upstairs bathroom and called DB's Plumbing for service. The team at DB's was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Chris came out and did repairs on my rear hose bib. He explained the options and possible risks associated with each. He attempted the least costly method first and was able to remove and replace the faulty part. Chris was very professional and personable and clearly knew what he was doing. I wish I had known about DB's Plumbing and Drain years ago. They are a first rate company. more
