I've been here twice for Sunday brunch but I have to say I am not impressed. On both visits there were less than 4 tables occupied, ourselves included. You might think visiting when the restaurant is not crowded would ensure more attentive service from the staff, but this was not our experience.\r

The first time, they made a mistake with our reservation and were quite surly about it. The hostess never apologized, she just seemed annoyed that we were there ""early"".\r

We ordered the family style brunch, where you choose an entree and it comes with ""smash browns"" (which are excellent, by the way), popovers, toast, sausage, bacon and ham for the whole table. We never received the promised toast on either visit, though, and the kids didn't like the popovers. The food was pretty good, although I've had better for less.\r

The real problem Copper Bleu has is with its staff. The servers seemed apathetic and indifferent, bordering on impolite. We waited 20-30 minutes after being seated before a server came by to take our order, not even to ask if we wanted anything to drink. They don't have coloring books or crayons for kids, but on our first visit they did provide little packs of twisty wax craft sticks for the kids. On our second visit they didn't give us any, so I flagged down our waitress who said she would bring some but never did. Once our food was served no one came back to see how we were doing or if we needed anything else (no coffee refills!). One good thing I can say is that once we ordered, the food came very quickly, however the tables are pretty small and the family style brunch comes with a lot of platters and there wasn't really enough room for everything. \r

I think Copper Bleu has potential. It's new, kind of hip, and a nice addition to Lakeville, which doesn't have a lot of restaurants. But their service is inattentive and cold, even when they are not busy.
Pros: Parking, tasty brunch
Cons: Service, not kid-friendly
