Review content:
Let me start by saying I am a food snob. I'm new to the area and moved from a place were food good choices are abundant. With our kids off to summer camp, my wife and I had a chance to have a nice dinner at a nice place. Because we live in the south metro and didn't feel like driving far, I searched for a place with that in mind. Copper Bleu seemed to fit the bill.\r

Walking into the place, I was impressed with what I saw. It reminded me of a few of the ""big city"" modern places I've been to. Because we were going to have to wait a little, we ordered some cocktails and took in the place and enjoyed the good music that was playing. Drinks were great and not watered down and bartender was very friendly. Oh, we were seated before I drinks arrived and the bartendered (not a waiter) delivered our drinks to our table. Nice, so he got a generous tip.\r

Our waiter was a very nice young man who explained the specials very well and made a number of recommendations. It was obvious he knew the menu. We both ordered steaks, my wife got a filet and I don't remember what I got. She likes her steaks on the medium well side and I like it on the medium rare to medium. They ended up butterflying her filet, which is something I have never seen done. They said they had to do it to get it medium well. Again, this was a first for us. It was the worst filet the both of us have ever had. My wife didn't even finish it, which was another first. It was very well-done and very dry piece of meat. My steak, was also over-cooked and dry. I mentioned to our waiter about this and he offered to have new ones made, but I know better than to return food. I told him he just needs to tell the cooks to watch the steaks closer. The only saving grace, food wise, was the mash potatoes. Like others have mentioned, they were very good.\r

In closing, if this is the best the South has to offer, the South is in trouble. I won't be going back. At those prices I expect much more.
Pros: Service, ambience
Cons: Food
