DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! STAY AWAY!!!\r The parking in this complex is horrible. If you do park before 5 p.m., you will NOT have a place to park. The apartment has a contract with a towing company, so if you create a parking space, you will be towed. It is not fair to have to pay rent and not have ANYwhere to park. The leasing assistants will verbally tell you that there is a parking problem, once you have signed your lease, but when asked what is being done about it, no one can answer. \r Basically, they allow non-renters to park in the spaces. Therefore, if you have groceries or bags to carry up stairs, you will have no place to park. \r The owner has a contract with a towing company, so it's a win-win for the owner to not do anything about parking.\r \r If you decide to visit the leasing office, ask this question first:\r 1. Is it easy to find parking? (If they say anything remotely to ""yes"", please walk away. It is a lie.)\r \r 2. The walls are very thin. You can hear what other people are doing in there bedrooms. In addition, every time, someone runs water, you will hear it. \r \r 3. Every time, someone else flushes the toilet, the water runs through BOTH of my toilets. I have requested maintenance. They have come to fix it, but it still runs water, so much so that I have brown stains that have formed from other people's constant flushing. \r \r DO NOT MOVE HERE. There are better places in Stone Oak to move!!!!!! more

Fire Alarm issue - 2 months old and STILL GOING 2/12/2012

Absolutely nothing has been done by the management in regards of a fire suppression system alarm going off for 2 months already. The management has told us that someone will come and fix it, but nothing has happened yet. I dont know if they are waiting for a desaster to happen when - God forbid - there is a fire in the middle of the night, and instead of the fire suppression system saving our lives, all we will hear is the horrible beep we have been hearing for 2 months at 4am. this is not a comfort issue. my son has been having problems in school due to lack of sleep, and when we brought this point to the manager, she had the NERVE to tell us to move him to another room...as if the noise was limited to my 7 year old boy's bedroom. What kind of answer is that? I am sure the SA fire department would love to hear that the property is not doing anything to keep this crucial safety system running properly, but procrastinating and giving the tenants useless stories about some person coming soon to fix the issue. also, the trash compactor (only one for the whole complex) gets full and the trash ends up on the floor. I mean, dozens of trash bags. For extra fun, the nocturnal animals eat from the trash, adding to the overall mess. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS PLACE. YOU WILL BE BETTER OFF ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!! more

stay away 12/9/2011

This place is just awful. Nasty, dirty, trash everywhere. Trash always piled up at the trash compactor. Trash around the mail boxes, garbage in the parking lots, dog s*** everywhere. Management could give a rats a** about the property. Their heads are so far up their asses that all they care about is themselves. People leave garbage outside their doors for days and the rest of us have to smell it. All the landscaping is dead. Sure, we had a drought but they didn't water even before that. Gates never work, people speeding through the parking lot, loud music. The back gate is locked for some reason. I guess there was some sort of a problem so they just locked it instead of addressing the problem. Typical for this complex. They types of people now moving in are scarry. I'm afraid to be in the parking lot at night. Not well lit at all so be careful. Kids everywhere that like to just run out in front of cars. Think twice before you move here. more

HORRIBLE PLACE TO CALL HOME 10/12/2011

MANAGEMENT SUCKS....the a/c in my apartment has gone out 6 times within the last year i was told it needed a new coil for it to functin properly. i brought it up to Kristy a, horrible excuse for a manager, that this was needed she told me that they were hesitant to order the piece because its so expensive...i told her so was my rent but its still expected on time so the piece needed to be ordered asap, being that my apartment is on the 3rd floor! IT NEVER HAPPENED..i followed up several times only to be told it was on back order followed by excuse after excuse...my a/c went out again so i called to speak with Kristy to ask why this is happening and why the problem still had not been fixed, all the dumb idiot could say was ""she honestly forgot"" she then continued to interrupt me...i finally asked for her boss' name and number and i have never gotten a call back regarding my complaint to him...not to mention they take DAYS to complete a work order the pool looks like crap and the gates NEVER work....i am so upset with this apartment and want it known it's not worth the time or money to live in this place to deal with a person like Kristy who doesnt care about her job or the people she is supposed to be there to help with problems such as these.... more

Worst Managagement. EVER. 5/2/2011

DO NOT LIVE HERE. The apartments are nice. The management SUCKS. I was lied to by them on multiple accounts, starting on my move-in day! I was told the locks were changed from the previous owner, and yet he opened my locked door and walked in as I was unpacking! Following this, there were complications changing the lock. It took three key changes until I had a functional, smooth lock! What a headache. Then, when our mailbox lock malfunctioned, we experienced a similar problem. I was told I could either retrieve my mail at the office (only open during business hours) or else I could retrieve it from the post office. Competently changing a lock is not something apartment complexes generally have trouble with. The staff is awful. They will act accommodating when you come to look at the apartments, but make no mistake about it: once you sign, they don?t want to deal with you. Jaime, a stocky Hispanic man, is incompetent. He cannot change a battery in a remote (which you will need done multiple times while you live there) and he is LAZY. We had a package sitting in the office for two weeks, after having gone in multiple times and asking about it. It was sitting there the whole time; Jaime did not bother to check all the packages. The property manager, Kristy, is the WORST. When the complex falls down on their duties (and they will), she will try to buy you off. She offered me a free fan (which they usually charge $50 to install) when I confronted her about the locks. Then, when she refused to attend to another issue I raised, she offered me a discounted parking space. None of this is a substitution for living in a competent, well-run apartment complex. My advice: While the staff will charm you into signing a lease, RESIST. There are plenty of nice places in the area and the bar (as set by Club at Stone Oak) is easy to beat. more

Avoid this place! 9/19/2008

The basics: This apartment property has changed managment 3 times since we moved in May of 2007. I am SO thankful to be out of there. If they tell you something, GET IT IN WRITING. The staff is generally untrustworthy and rude. We had so much trouble after we moved out getting the water bill out of our name. We were receiving water bills three months after our lease was up becasue management failed to do their job and put it under their name. It was a huge hassle and they were not helpful in fixing the problem. I finally had to beg the water company to go against protocol to let me cut off service. Pros: Not any that outweigh the cons Cons: rude staff, high prices, unethical business practices more
