I had some damage on my staircase banister. I purchased the insurance. When I called to tell them about the damage, they said to take a picture and e-mail it to them. Unfortunatly, I don't know how to do that. more

Our move with Christian Brothers went very well. The movers were very professional and courteous. It took a bit longer than expected, but on our next move with them (this was a move to a rental house), they assured us we would have 4 men instead of 3, and it would go faster. more

We used them twice, since we purchased a new home recently, and we had to move into a rental then move again into our new house. They are easy to work with, conscientious, and the crews they sent out are both professional and hard working. They stuck right to our bids, and they were actually a little under their bid on the first move. It was a very good experience working with them. Nothing went off the rails. They showed up when they said, worked until they were done, and consulted with us about any breakables, concerns, or things to be careful with. I had a very good, positive experience. more

I've never seen movers literally running off the truck to get more boxes. They were very efficient, thorough and friendly. I have no complaints and am very pleased with the overall move. Christian Brothers storage facility was another big plus for us and made the decision easy. I would definitely recommend them to friends. more

These guys did a wonderful job on our move from Denver to Santa Fe, NM. The crew that packed took great care of everything. The moving, loading, and unloading process couldn't have been smoother. I was happy to have a few of the same people each day. Compared to my expereinces with other larger movers, this was hands down the best. I would highly recommend them. They were two hours late arriving, with no phone call to let us know what was going on. I had to try and reach them. The front end guy, Doug, was very good to my daughter, but he was not cooperative with my needs. It took some doing on my part to "get there"; i.e., even though I requested Sunday, and I explained why I needed to move on Sunday (July 1st), he did the proposal for July 2nd. One of the guys I requested was not assigned - so it was a new guy -- would have been nice to know that. The movers themselves are hard working and do a good job. They make very little money for all that they do. I respected their moving skills and the extras they do to help make it a positive moving experience. I would give them four stars. But the front end experience was negative. Better communication would go a long way and following through on what the customer needs.... We explained to Candi that we don't normally do moves on Sundays, however we went out of the way to accommodate this special request and we were successful in doing so. Candi had specifically requested 3 movers, however, when we're operating on a day when we don't normally do business I have to respect my movers desire to have a least one day off per week. The "new" person she requested has been with us for 4 months and has 3.5 years of moving experience. To say that movers get paid little as part of the review seems a non-issue, especially if you consider that we pay an average of 30-50 more than most moving companies' hourly wages. It's hard to hear reviews that paint such a negative picture when the move was performed within the estimated time frame and no damages were reported. more

The rate was reasonable. The 3 movers were all very friendly and hard workers. Always accommodating and willing. Unfortunately they were very poor organizers when it came to stacking my furniture in my storage room. Because of their incompetence I was forces to rent an additional storage, as well as, at a later date hire another moving crew specialized in stacking the storage room properly and efficiently. PS: One of the crew members was very stubborn in doing things his way and fail, when it came to packing some of the furniture. However, our main priority first and foremost is always to do things safely and avoid damage, which was the mover's main goal in stacking the storage items. On August 19, 2011, Christian Brothers moving and Storage, Austin location, was contracted to come to my house to wrap, protect, and move my belongings into 2 PODS. I?m highly DISAPPOINTED with Christian Brothers Moving and Storage. I chose Christian Brothers because they claimed to be a Christian Company, their rating with the BBB, and I wanted to support local businesses. John, the sales person at Christian Brothers assured me my possessions would be in the best of hands if I chose them to do my move. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the WORST moving experience ever! Every piece of furniture was damaged due to Christian Brother?s gross negligence, recklessness, unprofessionalism, and complete disregard for my possessions. When I called the local office, on the day of the move, to express my concerns for the way my belongings were packed and handled during the move, John, the sales person, became very defensive and rude and offered no solution. When I called the corporate office on August 24, 2011, I received the same attitude. Doug, the Operations Manager, and Zack, the Regional Manager, told me it sounded as if I was having a case of ?buyer?s remorse? and wanted my money back. Each individual I spoke to, locally and corporate, claimed to be the highest level of management and that the decision was made and they would hear nothing more. They would not return my email when asked to speak to the president of the company, Brian Robertson. I filed a claim with Christian Brother?s Insurance Company, Claims Adjusting Firm, on October 17, 2011, along with photos of all the damage, and a repair quote I received from Leather and Wood craftsman, Inc. to repair the damages (which was $2675), and waited patiently for a response. 5 months later, on March 28, 2012, this was Claims Adjusting Firm?s response: more

We moved from Arizona to Colorado and used Christian Brothers. They mostly just loaded the trucks as we did 95 of the packing. They ran out of blankets (used maybe 15 total!) so most of our furniture was not wrapped in blankets. We received damage on all wood furniture that we own. We have 3 sets of outdoor furniture which was in VERY good condition as was all of our household goods. It is no longer suitable to use. The finish on everything was scraped down to the bare metal. The coatings were baked on so they can not be repainted. A dresser had deep gouges in a 12 inch square - many deep scratches. They said pillows were on the dresser! One set of drawers had a hunk of wood taken out that was about 2 inches square. Damage was extensive. I do not recommend them for a long distance move. They sent a repair guy to do work for 2 hours. Not enough time for the extent of our damages. more

Christian Brothers Moving was well organized. They send out three gentlemen, and they all worked very hard. It was obvious that they had done this before. I certainly didn't feel like Larry, Curly, and Moe were there, which is a feeling I have had before. They did our entire house to house move. They are honest and straight up. They are great. more

Estimate was off by more than it should have been... ~25 29 Days free storage of goods was mentioned in the estimate process but turns out that only applies if they store your good for 29 days or less. Implication is that the first 29 days are free. RESPONSE FROM Christian Brothers Moving: 9 out of 10 estimates come in right at the bid or just under. Christian Brothers Moving & Storage aims to be conservative with theirs bids to avoid such scenarios. However, you will never have a complaint with us about the quality of the crew or their dedication to hard work. They work extremely hard and fast, on top of that they're all experienced movers with a minimum of three years experience. Finally, Christian Brothers Moving & Storage is always very clear in stating that storage for less than 30 days is free. If you our with us for more than 30 days our rates are $175/month for one 15x15 unit. Any additional units are available at $145/month. I was very impressed with our two movers, Will and Jesse! They came ready to work and were very conscientious about moving all of our furniture while being efficient. We moved out of our ranch-style house into a 3-story townhouse and those guys were troopers! We had some heavy bulky items that must have been awful to move but they were upbeat and willing to do the job - not only do the job but do it right! Would highly recommend! more

This was my first time using Christian Brothers Moving. We had to do a double move, from our house to storage then to the new house. Overall, the move was good. They were very polite and timely and billed me accordingly. Plus, I really liked their indoor storage facility. However, I have found several glass items were broken during the move. Since I had no insurance on those items, I felt there was no point in telling them. I just hope I don't find anything else broken as I unpack. I will say that I did do all of the packing, but the boxes looked banged and dented in on the corners like they'd possibly been dropped or mishandled. I did recommend them to my son-in-law and just found out they had some issues with an escalated price and that they brought the wrong size truck to the move. So, with that information, I feel that my review is kind of clouded now, plus that made me feel a little awkward, since they'd been good for me for the most part. more
