A lot to move 11/4/2013

I was just telling my wife yesterday, it's been over a month since we moved in, that I needed and wanted to post a review on this moving company, I owed it to them. When we were looking for a moving company for not only my wife and I it was for my in-laws too which was very important, especially for them, I looked at the reviews for a number of moving companies and Christian Brothers had the most with the best reviews and they were competitively priced as well. Not knowing how well this moving company would do, boy was I surprised they did an AWESOME job. We had a lot of stuff to move so much so that we had 2-26 foot trucks and 1-14 foot truck. They crew worked their tails off and when all was said and done, we had 1 shadow box with a broken glass, I packed that wrong, and 1 small statue broken which was incredible since we probably had over 200 boxes to move plus a ton of furniture. If you're looking for a moving company you NEED to use this company. Oh I forgot to mention all the moving guys were very pleasant as was the office people. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this company!! more

Terrible 8/17/2013

I would not recommend this company. As nice as the guys were, they did a terrible job packing put move. After arriving in NY from Colorado, we noticed multiple items had severe damage. Furniture was thrown onto the truck. There really was not a system that I could tell. Very disappointed. more

Would Never Recommend 7/25/2013

I contracted with this company to move and store my household belongings while home was being built. When they delivered my furniture items were broken and my grandfather clock's pendulum was bent and I was told they wouldn't reimburse me even though I had purchased extended full coverage. What topped it off was their billing. They billed me twice. Once for the initial estimate and for another month's storage for furniture that was no longer in storage. When I brought this to their attention, I was told they get a lot of calls like this and they feel that charges will drop off and my credit card would not be charged, even though I was calling them because of the duplicate credit card charge. Needless to say this is all in dispute now. The staff are nice, the kids that move are nice.. but they don't deliver and their billing practices are in error. more

Broken laptop 7/16/2013

One of the movers broke my laptop and no one will admit to it. The repair bill is $250.00.I would like to be reimbursed this amount, and I'm very disappointed that no one would admit to damaging it. Also, too many boxes lacked labeling. However, the ones that were labeled were well done. The crews worked very hard, and wanted me to be happy with their work. Mostly I was. RESPONSE FROM Christian Brothers Moving: As our contract states we are not liable for mechanical items. We spoke with our movers and they said there is no way they could have broke it because they never touched it. more
