I called this company out today for emergency service! The lady in the office gave me a structured time slot! She was very pleasant. They were on time. I received great service . I have used this company for 5 years! They have the best price in town . If you want your septic tank pumped on the water. I will use them again. more

Worst service EVER! Needed emergency service so I called and left a message. Dispatch called back and said 30-45 minutes it took over an hour. Dispatch explained after hours was $128 per hour. Plumber arrived and fixed issue in about 30 minutes then added fees for using his tools and another fee for his trip from 15 minutes away. When questioned about these hidden fees plumber was rude...then dispatcher Joan called me the customer as was rude threatened with the police and called me the ""B"" word. This place is a nightmare. We have used Chris's Plumbing several times over the years. They do a good job. However, this past Friday we called them for a clog that just wouldn't clear in our drain. Just as they arrived, I got the clog cleared. The plumber came in to make sure it was cleared, stayed 6 or 7 minutes tops, did nothing but still charged the full $85 service charge. We'll never use this company again. more

Couldn't be more pleased with their customer service! I stopped by with few expectations, was looking for a special polished brass flanged aerator for a discontinued bathroom faucet. I was truly impressed with the effort they put forth to try and locate one for me. They didn't have much luck finding one while I waited, but they said they'd get back with me. I didn't hold my breath. But lo and behold, a few days later they called to let me know they found not just one, but two and would let me know when they arrived. I went to pick them up and they didn't even charge me for them! I was stunned. It's hard to get service like that these days. AWFUL experience with this business. I really REGRET using them and want to let everyone else know to AVOID CHRIS'S PLUMBING!! In October of 2012, I called them to pump my septic tank. The Employee that came out barely spoke English and couldn't even read a Driver's License or a Credit Card! After the service was completed, I received a phone call from Chris's Plumbing because they were unable to use the information from their illiterate and Unqualified Employee. I then went to their location in person and paid cash, 225.00 to Danielle Sterman. 9 months later, 8/7/13, I received a letter from Chris's Plumbing stating that my ""Payment is Delinquent. 268 days overdue, Immediate attention required"" and also that they ""are in their rights to pursue this legally and will be taking action on this soon."" This letter was FALSE, UNJUSTIFIED AND THREATENING!! On 8/19/13 at 8:45 a.m., I went to Chris's Plumbing AGAIN and Danielle Sterman was there again. I told her I was VERY upset and I wanted this issue to be resolved IMMEDIATELY. So, she took my receipt, and wrote ""(8/19/13 DS Paid from before)"" and told me that she could not record my cash payment at this time ""Because a code needed to be entered"". Like I'm stupid or something, she probably pocketed the cash I gave her thinking I wouldn't keep the receipt! It also seems as though the business is avoiding claiming cash payments and paying taxes. So, after 3 cooperative attempts on my part to resolve this issue, they have STILL FAILED to record my cash payment from over 9 months ago!! more

I am extremely unhappy with Chris's Plumbing Service. I awoke to a leak and called Chris's plumbing. They charged 128.00 the first hour and 31.00 per 15 minutes after that. The tech said barely a word and I was charged for TRAVEL TIME without ever being told. I called and spoke with numerous people and got no satisfaction. Never use them! more

NO INTEGRITY WHAT SO EVER!!!!! A company that demands you owe them for a job not preformed. Instuctions are given at the beginning of the call which they later do not honor. This is a company with no integrity, They feed on the vulnerable. They have dispatch doing a job there not doing it and blame it on the customer which they have no respect for. A demand for the costly $65.00 trip charge for a company that is litterally 3 miles away is insane. Not to mention the dispatch repeated 3 times that a call would be placed back to me to dispatch the driver or not and it never happened. Of course I got the same phone call others received in this situation. I have found myself being demaded payment for services (trip charge). When I told my side of the story I was told that my conversation of the call was recorded and the dispatcher never swore at me. Not a fact I have witnesses. Upper Management upheld the charge and I'm sure I will never be using Chris's Plumbing again and will tell everyone. I hope this help someone on the front end and not after the fact like I did I will now always check yelp and city search and research a company before I go through something like this again. They have an F rating in the BBB and don't seem to care about potential customers - or customers for that matter. I ended up going with David E Albaugh Plumbing because not only was he cheaper than Chris's, but when I called I actually got to speak with David and he did a great job and charged me exactly what he said he would over the phone. Hes also got an A rating in the BBB. As BAV wrote on Citysearch March 4, 2011: "" I also faxed them a letter. Chris's plumbing is a step above the rest!!!!! I called chris's plumbing the other day when i started to notice water dripping from my celeing. Right when i got on the phone with the ladys in the office, they were able to tell me how to turn the water off in the house, and then i had a plumber arrive to my home within hours of calling. Not only did tey do a professional job but they acted like professionals over the phone and did the job at a very good rate!!! I would highely recommend this comapny to anyone, take my word for it!!! more

I never write reviews but I felt that I really needed to protect people from a company like this! I called them up for some work that I needed to have done, I was remodeling a bathroom and wanted to change out the tub and shower valves. I told them about the work ahead of time and was told that they would charge time and materials and that the price would not exceed $600. I thought it was a bit much but agreed to have them come out and do the work. more

Great service and great staff!!!! I have always tried to do everything on my own around the house but i had run into a project that i couldn't have done alone. I was in the process of remodeling my house when i came to a point that i needed a plumbing. Chris's Plumbing is very active in the community and has always done work at my parents house and all of my neighbors. It was not hard for me to decide who i was going to call. The ladys in the office were very helpful and kind. The plumber did an amazing job and it was at a very reasonable price. I would recommend anyone who needs a plumber to call Chris's Plumbing. I really can not say anything bad about this company!! more

We had a leak in our water line from the street coming into our house. We called Chris's plumbing on a Friday afternoon/evening to come out and fix the leak. Chris's technician showed up and immediately my wife became concerned. ""Greg"" did not seem to have a real good grasp of plumbing issues and what to do. He smoked cigerettes and cussed at the work more than he actually worked on the problem. My wife called the office and a manager called her back. She told him she had no confidence he could fix the problem. She was right. He cut the sprinkler lines and tried to replumb them....it was not the sprinker lines that were leaking. After a couple of hours my wife gave up and sent him home and we were left with a much larger mess than what we started with. We later received a bill for $563. It showed 10' of pipe and 14 fitting were used....NOT TRUE. and labor costs of $544. My wife called Chris's and spoke to someone and told them the whole story...and the fact that we were not going to pay for their incompetence. My wife asked to speak with a manager who the lady on the phone said she would have call us back. That person never called us back. Received a notice to owner via certified mail yesterday. They are past the 45 days required for them to file a lien but I am sure it is a standard scare tatic that they use. I also faxed them a letter. We will not be pushed around by companies who are not the least bit concerned about their customers. When you call them you dont even get to speak with a plumber! If I am going to pay somebody $85 an hour I would at least like to speak with the person about to do the job or at least someone that can understand what is going on. As another dissatisfied costumer said, they have an F rating in the BBB and don't seem to care about potential customers - or customers for that matter. I ended up going with David E Albaugh Plumbing because not only was he cheaper than Chris's, but when I called I actually got to speak with David and he did a great job and charged me exactly what he said he would over the phone. Chris, I hope you see this. I am a very prominent person in the comunity. I had asked your company to assist on a small job. I was told a small travel charge would be applied due to it was a Sunday. When the technician arrived I was told before he could come inspect my issue he would have to receive his travel charge of $125.00. What the heck ? He came from Brandon I thought. My plane I fly does not burn that much going that far. I told him no thanks. The next day I received a phone call and the idiot asked me how I would I like to pay for service's rendered? I said what service's. He ( maybe chris) said you received a tech to fix your plumbing. I laughed and he did not. He then stated if I did not pay his fee I would have to go to court and have a lean of my house. OK Chris You are a FOOL! Who are you fooling. YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A SCAM,BULLY of a company. I had a small leak in the backyard and called the company as it was only approx 3 miles away from my home. They said I would have to pay for travel which I thought surely would be a nominal fee. The rep arrived a few hours later. He did not even see the leak because I did not let him in the front door. I asked how much he charged for travel. He charged full plumbers fee for that. I declined service. Later got a call with demand to pay for service call or lein would be placed. I think the bill was approx 125 dollars. What a scam. The fact is that no supplies or contractual service was done. A lien, which is just a claim, can be easily contested once you are notified by filling out a form. They would have to take you to court to formally enact anything. YOU CAN NOT CLAIM A LIEN for traveling to a home. I feel sorry for our elders and other vulnerable adults who likely fall prey to this trash. Dear Chris, On 11/04 upon arrival to my home i found a small trail of water on my garage floor. Upon inspection I found it to be my hot water tank leaking. This was the original hot water tank. I called your establishment around 5pm and inquired about pricing to have it replaced. The guy who answered the phone was very polite and informative. After talking with him we agreed to do it during normal business hours due to a higher labor rate after hours and it could be done at 0800 the next day and only take about 1.5hr. The next day I went to work leaving my roommate pricing and ect that I was given the evening before. Gas Water Tank $482.78 Labor rate of 85.00 ph Time apx to do task 1.5hr I informed my roommate the cost should not exceed $700.00. First and foremost, learn from our mistake. \r \r We had our bathrooms done and the place we used hired Chris's plumbing.They were late the first day and we had to call them the second day and they never showed up. When they did it took all day and they are still not done. We are going in to the third week and the job should have been a 1 week job. They have already sent a bill to the place that we contracted with. They also sent us a letter stating that if our vendor doesn't pay, then we will receive a lien on our property (per FL law). What a surprise, but not after we read the previous reviews. Those reviews state similar issues so BUYER BEWARE...BE VERY AWARE of Chris' Plumbing services or lack of...\r \r The jobs are still in progress they were here a week and a half ago.. When Chris's Plumbing came to our house to repair burst pipes, there were several times we thought that the plumbers were stalling and/or creating problems so the bill would go higher. Upon sharing our concerns with the owner of the company, he angrily shouted at us and told us he didn't appreciate the accusations we were making. We hadn't made any accusations at that point.
