Best

I love this place. I've only been there twice but I've already found my favorite dish and drink; Jerk pork platter with a mojito. Soooo good. The prices are a little high, but I'd...

Worst

I don't know why people like this place. The food was average to mediocre. The waitress was rude and unattentive. This is a trendy place for people who want to look good, but don...

I've only been here once, but man, the jerk chicken is something special! We're talking COMPLETE FLAVOR EXPERIENCE, and on my list for one of the best dishes in L.A. Other than that, Cha Cha Cha is a colorful little restaurant in a somewhat dingy part of town. The semi-outdoor seating is kind of nice. more

Love this place! Was taken there on a date once, and don't let the 'rundown shack' look from the outside fool you! It's beautiful and artsy inside and the food and service is great. I wish I could describe the menu better, but I always order the black bean tamales because they're just amazing. And sangria... more

Yummy Caribbean Food 5/30/2002

Their verde tamale was the second best I've ever tasted. It's great to split with someone before the entrees. If you're planning to go on a weekend night, I highly recommend making reservations. It can get very crowded, especially out on the patio. Also, they serve only beer (big variety) and wine (smaller selection) -- no hard alcohol. Parking can be a bit tricky, so it might be best to valet if you're not familiar with the area. Pros: good food, nice atmosphere Cons: parking not ideal more

This is my favorite place to take out-of-town guests. The interior is vibrant and funky: bright colors everywhere, painted murals and assorted Caribbean kitsch. Try the Camerones Negros--skewered prawns in a spicy-sweet sauce. Great flan, too. Pros: Vibrant and lively Cons: East end of Melrose, Busy on weekends more

Spicy Little Number 5/27/2002

I've been here once and I'll definitely be coming back. Friends recommended the Jerk Chicken and it was good advice. It's a great looking dish, 3 large pieces of chicken surrounded by plantains and rice, all smothered in a rich dark sauce. The dish starts out slow and easy but takes you by surprise when the sauce kicks in to gear after a few bites. Don't get me wrong, it's nothing overpowering and it won't leave you gasping, but you will definitely feel the heat from this spicy little number. This is food with real flavor and style and I can't wait to try more. Pros: jerk chicken Cons: small building, parking is hard more

There are a few restaurants in Los Angeles that I would consider the best, but this joint rules. I love the spicy jerk chicken plate. Everything is cooked fresh. I recommend this to anyone that wants to take someone out for authentic dining. Pros: jerk chicken, great sangria Cons: parking sucks more

Cha Ching for Cha Cha Cha 5/15/2002

well, if you live in l.a. and never been, you're missing out. some of the tastiest food in the city hidden away in a rundown part of silverlake. if you're new to it, go with the jerk chicken. it's a good introduction to JERK -- the subtle spice that's sweet at first and creeps up on you with a kick. breakfast here is also stellar with fine chilaquiles and heuvos negros. nothing like waking up to some fresh OJ and a kick in the pants from JERK spice. excellent. Pros: jerk chicken, cool spot Cons: hard to park, sometimes crowded more
