I've been using Casey Automotive for years. Recently I went to have my radiator system repaired. Then my engine light went on, and they had to repair the thermostat on that part too. I don't know much about pricing comparisons, but I think they are more competitive than dealerships. When Casey did the repairs, I was very happy when I was driving home with the car. I think they explain everything really well, and the service people there are loyal. They always explain what's going on when you bring your car in, and they go over the pricing. When they have discounts on occasion, they are good. Pricing for repairs at other auto repair places can be horrendous, but I've had a much better experience with Casey! more

I would completely recommend Casey Automotive! I've been using them for about four or five years, and really they are the shop I go to in the area. I first went to Casey when I has having issues with my brakes a number of years ago. I've always had an issue with trusting car repair shops, and I had been told on many occasions that the problem with my brakes was the rotors needed to be replaced. But when I went to Casey's that was not the first thing out of their mouths. I knew at that point that they were fair and I could trust them. more

Well to say anything i was unhappy i was quoted one price on the phone and when i got there it was another price higher than expected. Plus i ran into a problem last night tryed to call them after hours and got a rude message on their anwsering machine and could not leave a message that i was not going to be able to make the appointment for saturday ... After talking to my service writer Jessie who you had spoken with on the phone when you first called and when you came in the price that was quoted was the same on the phone.The price was exact with taxes. If there was something other than that I would like to know. Our family has been is business over 35 years and we have not had any price problems like this. Jessie the service writer has been with our family for over 8 years and I dont hear these kinds of problems about him. I would say we're active customers of Casey Automotive. They have helped us navigate through different problems with cars of different ages. They've given us good recommendations on repairs, like when to repair something one way versus another. They tell us when to invest in something, and when not to invest. Pete has been particularly helpful with any issues, assisting us with repairs and parts. He's always willing to help. more

I have lived in the area for 32 years and have always gone to the dealership. This is my first experience with Casey Automotive and I have to say, they are fantastic! The service is great, the people are real helpful and do what they say. As far as expenses go, they do what they can to help minimize them. The most recent work they did on one vehicle was completed over the course of a week. They did work on the control arms, steering reconditioning, the dash cluster, and maintenance work. Through their servicing, they recognized certain things, which I already knew needed to be fixed, and they were very professional in communicating those things. more

I've been a customer of Casey Automotive's for about 10 years now. They always provide good service. If there are any problems with the work they did, they will always make it right. Several times I've had things done and they've not bothered to charge me which is always nice. They're not always trying to charge you an arm and a leg when you're there. Also, there have been times when they've been working on my car and they find something that needs to be fixed and they'll fix it because it's still under warranty. I know I can trust them. My noise complaint was easily diagnosed by the Casey technician. It was a simple replacement of a wheel bearing. Car was done in a short period of time while I waited and the price was fair. Most of all the shop staff was professional,courteous and honest. Bonus is that the waiting room is very comfortable, not your normal repair shop. This is my second trip to Casey in last couple months. I will be back. more

I went in for brakes, which they did a fabulous job on. They also looked over things under the hood and under the car, which is difficult for me. They made some other recommendations to go along with that. more

Used to go here for reg maintenance... Then saw there ad for brakes for 49 bucks I called because it sounded cheap ... Asked if it covered just front brakes new pads and cutting rotors....after going there wasting there and my time 2 hrs they wanted $ 280 for just front brakes pads and cutting rotors ... They had to put it all back together and I went down the street and paid $ 230 for same thing I would have paid the $ 280 I had done business with them before.... They just lost a reg customer and Palatine is a small town boys... The days of advertising cheap then charging 4 times more are over... I hope the people that take over when you lose your business learn from you.... more

Whatever I bring over to Casey Automotive, they get fixed. It's always done in a timely manner at a reasonable price. Two separate times, I brought in cars with lots to fix. Both times they recommended that I don't sink the money into it, but just get rid of the car. When I asked how much, they told me there would be no charge. They're very honest. more
