Another fairy-tail that is ,a far located from the Bay Area businesses, are reliable and the less expensive as the spoiled local one.\r
Dealing with that Burketts Plastering is most disgusting experience that I've got in my 15 years of general contractor practice in the Bay Area, and as a California home owner.\r
Be aware that everything on a contract need to be checked three times before signing that,..be ready that the amount on a contract will be raised up by 30 % (in my case)after all of those,so called, inspections during your pool resurfacing process.\r
Don't be surprised if they will find some extra cracks that need to be taking care of by the cost of $85 a lineal foot.\r
Or,like,if you wont to get a cheapest new light for your pool-it will cost you only:)$700..great!\r
Don't be disappointed if Bruce-the manager, just by looking at your pool surface:) will tell you that pool need to get a total striping for $2,000 extra. No written reports,no test results-nothing-just that rounded number-two grand..and that scary tactics of the used car dealership-..kind of ....you don't wont to get more crack for your new, beautiful pool,right?:)\r
Don't be surprised that instead of 3 ""scheduled"" payment you are going to see a worker at your entry door step, demanding a payment for every day of work-in order to start the work.\r
You may also get an experience of those guys coming to your property on their own schedule..one day working, two days not,one day starting at 8 A.M.,another day at 1 P.M.\r
Be ready for numerous unexpected phone calls from the office, without any reasons and really pointless,like-just to say that their guys are coming soon, but in reality those guys already came an hour ago:)..No internal communication among management, totally false meaning of customer service..but they are on a top when they need to get the check/payment from you-there they are the best among others:)\r
They are asking to sign waiver of their liability,if there is not all of the cracks(for $85 /foot extra) was fixed by them.Literally you have no warranty if they are not fixing all of the cracks for the generous amount of extra money.\r
And that waiver need to be signed, guess when?- on a last day of the project-otherwise they are not coming to finish the work..sign it or stick with unfinished hole in a ground forewer.\r
I may continue that list of ugly things for another 20 pages, but in short-,,I would rather pay that exactly amount of money carged for that project to their workers-directly,as a side job money-because they did a good job..after all- my pool looks great.I totally believe that that company management and that ""nice"" sales person, does not deserve to be paid a dime for that poor customer service, for all of those hidden charges and the enormous mess and all of my and my family frustration.
