Keystone Kops of pool renovation, lots of activity but not well organized 7/12/2010

They were the low bidder, but boy did we pay. They took almost a year, then everything that could leak did, even things they weren't supposed to touch. Their "electrician" was also their ditch digger, and he managed to puncture the pool return line, and put in a sweep line that looked like a piece of a maze. After they filled the trench and cemented up the deck, it all had to come out again to fix the leaks. The result is ok, not a top quality job. Each course of tile and piece of coping is slightly askew, just a bit sloppy. Now I'm paranoid about unobserved leaks. more

The crew did an excellent job of re-plastering my pool. I was impressed with the care the workers gave to protecting my existing tile & decking. Too Bad for a Bad Ending 4/28/2010

We had a $26,000 remodel. We would have a rave review until now. The work was started in December 2009 and completed with a final payment made Feb 2,2010. Today is April 27,2010.The actual workers on site were terrific. Management is unprofessional and disrespectful in their complete lack of follow-up.\r The workers were prompt, VERY hard working, courteous and kept things clean, and always completed the job they were assigned to for the day. They really were impressive. Initial communication was a challenge. One person for the original quote, another "foreman" for each phase of the work (demo, plumbing/return lines,tile, then plaster), and hand-off communication seemed non-existant. Eventually, Mike Santos was assigned as our go-to guy. Mike was wonderful, but it is obvious he doesn't get ANY support from Tim or the Big Boys at the Big Office.\r They dug all the trenches in the wrong place (we had another contractor here for another project who pointed this out to them, but they ignored more

DON'T USE BURKETT'S for your PLASTERING!!!! 4/15/2010

Well we were suckered into a so-called DEAL, $8,000.00 worth. The workers were very unprofessional, they were outside screwing around every time I looked out there. My whole family ended up having the flu the week that they came to re-plaster, so they tried to make the least contact with us as possible. Anyway, they did absolutely nothing to help us with start-up. And for 8g's you think they could have done something. There was NO follow-up whatsoever, and now our plaster is already messed up and we are going to have SOMEONE else come in and fix it. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS POOL COMPANY TO ANYONE. Great crews!! Great office!! Great job!! 1/16/2010

All the crews that we dealt with at Burkett's were extremely professional, from the start of there job to cleaning up on there jobs! These were demo crews, tile crews, the prep crews, and plaster crews. Everyone knew there job. The office was extremely helpful and answered every question i had. Thank you for such a great job!!! Pros: No sub contractors! Cons: None! more
