Substandard work and Service 4/16/2009

I went with burketts because they came highly recommended. What I received was appalling. The remodel manager matt is a real piece of work, He is rude will not return calls, and when confronted about these issues he acted like i was making a big deal out of nothing. Well I payed them for a good job and what I received was a hack job. The overlay on the decking has pilled several times and he insist that I am dumping acid on my new deck and that I am causing the problem. Thats his way of not excepting accountability, just blame it on some one else he is realley good at that.. more

be carefull 4/6/2009

Be very care full shop around, and ask alot of questions. Get at least 3 estimates and go with the one you feel more comfortable with. Remember bigger is not always better more

These guys are the best!!! 3/9/2009

I don't know what these other people are talking about...everyone at Burkette's is highly trained and very professional! I have had them personally remodel/replaster/retile 3 of my swimming pools and they have done an outstanding job! On my pools they did not sub contract any portion, everthing was completed by them. Everyone I have spoken to there from Leslie, Erin, Shawn, Craig, Jeff, and even Rob are all very responsive to your concerns...of course if the concerns are legitimate! If your an unhappy person most of the time your going to be an unhappy customer. :( Pros: Highly skilled staff which DOES NOT subcontract!!! Cons: None!!! more

Pool plastering 1/7/2009

My dad wasn't pleased with their job on our pool but my mom really liked them. They do pebble tech which is really expensive but they do it a cheaper price. They only show you a couple of tiles even though one box holds like thirty different colors. more

Unfortuante Experience 1/17/2008

Much like the other reviewers, I contracted Burkett's to replaster my pool. Unfortunately I had several different issues, all of which I received the run around. I was not able to get the office staff to return phone calls and every time I asked to speak to Rob, the owner, he was unavailable. I wish I could just get my money back and go with someone else. more

Great Experience, NOT! 1/3/2008

Besides the typical pool company issues you have to deal with, I did not think I would be having to deal with sub contractors, and sub contractors of sub contractors. Burkett's sells itself on its customer service, but when it comes down to it, they simply sub contract all of the work - which ends up being of poor quality - and then they say, well one of the sub contractors did that. What's even worse is that every time I call I get the typical ""we will have to have somebody call you back"" but inevitable nobody does. I wish I would have done more research on this. But I guess I learned my lesson. more
