Some friends and I got picked up very fast but that's where the good news ends. That driver was rude and the car stank like human waste. He drove WAY too fast and ran several red lights. We paid and went to our room. I noticed there was still a fecal smell even in the room. THEN I noticed that I had a streak of human waste all down the back of my leg. I never expected that or I would have looked at the drivers name and cab number. If I had that information I would sue. Worst experience in a cab ever. Avoid at all costs. more

Missed my appointment because the driver could not find me. Driver also spoke no english so I couldn't help him. Will be using Radio Cab from now on. more

Great company! They have the fasteset response times! Took a cab from Troutdale to downtown and back and the drivers were very nice and played soft jazz as we were driving. My girlfriend and I were able to have a conversation without feeling like we were being listened to. Will definately use again! more

I called this cab after waiting an hour for Radiocab and the dispatch said a cab would be here in five mins but they never showed up after twenty five more

Editorial review from Citysearch 10/8/2012

Guess I need to put MY crap review on here to, and I wasn't even a customer. I live on one of those streets that doesn't allow 2 cars to pass each other although, growing up here, that used to NEVER be a problem, but with all the transplants...well, that's nother thing all together. Anyway, this cab driver in a mini van turns on to my street and comes roaring up it, leaving me NO where to pull over and let him through. I finally manage to just barely squeeze over a bit, and as he's passing me, he's like maybe 6 inches away from my driver's window. He starts yelling at me, calling me a ""stupid B*tch"" and telling me to ""f*cking learn how to drive"", all in front of my 6 year old, who started crying immediately. He was yelling so loud that all the pedestrians on the street were trying to see what the commotion was. He was a big, burly, smelly Russian, and I would NEVER use a cab company that employs such a disgusting human being. Seems like this type of complaint is everywhere....guess this crappy company doesn't care. I'll try Radio Cab if I ever need one. more

I will never use this service again 5/30/2012

I will never use this service again booked a cab a day in advance at 4:30 am to pdx. when the cab didnt show I called dispatch they informed me that they could not find a cab for me, and that they don't come to the area where I live alot. That would be the reason I booked in advance. After several calls to dispatch the cab finally showed up after 5am had to run to my gate barely made the flight. more

37 degree weather & 8 months pregnant... 11/15/2011

I'm 8 months pregnant and on level 3 bed rest. I had a Doctors appt. scheduled at 2:10 pm, i called the night before and was confirmed for a 1:30 pm pick up time. I waited patiently till about 1:45 pm outside. I called to see where the cab was and they told me that they arrived at my house at 1:45.... THAT WAS A BIG LIE. They asked if i could call my doctors office to reschedule my appt for a later time so that they can get me a cab right away. They placed me on hold so that they could call the driver and ask where he was, they got back on the phone with me and said that there was mix up in the address and that the driver was right around the corner to wait outside. So i did for another 30 mins. still no show. I cancelled the ride and rescheduled my appt for another day. This cab company is so flippin ridiculous. Never again will i use them. more

Liar Liar Pants on Fire 10/30/2011

We had a flight leaving PDX at 7:00 am, and called Broadway Cab at 4:30 to get a cab to the airport. (And YES I do realize that it would have been wise to reserve a cab in advance - but that is not the point here, so please read the entire review before commenting on my lack of planning skills.) We realized that it was a busy weekend with Halloween coming up. However, the dispatchers ought to at least have been honest with us so that we could find another way to get to the airport. We were lied to several times by several different people when we called to check the status of our cab! One guy even told me that our cab was on its way and would be there in a couple of minutes. When I called back 10 minutes later, another guy told me that I had been misinformed and that they didn't even have a driver lined up for us yet. I completely understand being busy and overwhelmed. But dispatchers need to tell you when you call that they have no idea how long it could take and that you might end up waiting for hours. I'd prefer to hear the truth, even if I don't like it, than sit on my porch for hours like a sucker because someone decided to tell me ""your cab's on the way"" to get me off the phone. Take a lesson, Broadway: we finally called Radio Cab and they put us on hold while they checked availability, and they found a driver who could get to our place in 10 minutes. Now THAT is customer service. more

If you want a negative experience use Broadway Cab! 6/4/2011

If you want to start your vacation on a negative note then call Broadway cab. My wife an I were going out of town on vacation and arranged a Broadway cab to take us to the airport. I arranged it two days in advance and called the night before to confirm the pickup. The dispatcher confirmed the pickup so we thought we were set. At 3:30 am no cab showed up. We waited another 15 minutes, still no cab. I tried calling other cabs but the queue for calls was long. So we finally decided to drive and pay the $80 to park in long term parking at the airport. The trip to and from the airport would have cost $40. The excuse the dispatcher gave was that their computers were down. Are you kidding me! I don't believe it for a minute. I think they overbook and then pick and choose where to dispatch. If you read the crap on their web site you would think they really care about service. They don't! So beware of doing business with Broadway if you want to start your vacation on a positive note! more

Never again 3/23/2011

The nightmare started late one evening on East Burnside when two friends from out-of-town and I were approached by a drunk crack-head who made us fear for our lives. Fortunately, we'd called a cab a moment earlier. We thought the van that pulled up would be our salvation from a nerve-wracking situation. I'd given my name to the phone operator (it's of an eastern European ethnicity) and one of the first things our cabbie did was ask me about it. He asked if my family was from Europe and I responded yes, the former Yugoslavia. He then informed me that he was Russian in descent. While I know that Russians and Yugoslavs aren't always friendly, my family never made an issue of it and he was nice enough and we chatted about the similarity of the languages, etc. When he pulled up at my house, he read the meter as $15.60. Less than 5 seconds before, all three passengers witnessed it at $9.60. I asked, ""are additional passengers $3 each?"" as by that math, the fare would be $15.60. He responded ""no, $2 each."" (There is a sign on the window that reads ""$1 additional passengers!"") I then repeated to him ""$15.60?"" He pulled forward slightly, as if he would take off with us in the car and then replied, ""No, $15 is enough."" We were seriously creeped out by this so I stopped trying to argue, paid and we scrambled out of the car. While I suppose Broadway Cab gets credit for arriving so quickly, I will never feel comfortable getting in another one of their vehicles knowing it could be the same bigot creep who decides to rip off whoever he pleases to. I called customer service to request a refund and still have not received a response. more

For Shame 1/28/2011

My father is an 82 year old man who is largely blind in both eyes. He relies on the TriMet handicap bus service and the Yellow Cab to get to the only places he shops - Costco and Fred Meyer. In the last two months, drivers for Yellow Cab have saddled my old blind father with foreign currency in his change. The first was a £5 note from Britain. Although I had to go downtown to change it, and there was a fee, he only lost a little. The next time it was a $2 Canadian. Again, he lost a little. Now he has turned up with a $20 peso note dated Oct 1974. This is an “old peso” which was discontinued in 1993 and was no longer redeemable after 1996. Where the driver got it is a mystery to me, but the fact is, he passed it to my father as a $20 dollar bill. It is, of course, worthless. What kind of people take advantage of old, blind men? They ought to be ashamed of themselves. I have convinced Dad to only use a charge card from now on for cab rides, and I will check his bill for any irregularities. And I hope he will remember to call someone other than Yellow Cab! If I could give NO stars, I would have!\r more

Don't use this company 1/9/2010

I called for a cab at 12:09 pm needed to get to Veterinary appt. at 12:45 pm. I live 15-20 min. by car to vet. , when cab failed to arrive at 12:27 I called only to be informed that they had no request registered for my address. There was no order sorry about the confusion ( as if I didn't know who I had called or that they stated it would be about 10-15 min for arrival time), they then informed me they were putting in the order and it would be there shortly. At 12:55 I called only to be informed that the driver was quite a distance away, it would be about another 20 min before they could arrive. I lost my appt. my pet's health issue now is pending because reptile vet's are few, and I am unable to get another appt till some time either next week or weekend. more

Dangerous drunk broadway cab driver 12/23/2009

I had a very scary experience with a driver who looked and acted drunk. After pulling onto a busy street, and causing both lanes of traffic to stop and honk, he was laughing at me when I told him I didn't feel safe and stopped on a major street trying to let me out. Finally after I pleaded with him to let me out in a parking lot, he stopped in front of a car with its reverse lights on, and when I tried to get out, he started driving away with my foot on the ground! When I called the company repeatedly, nobody returned my three messages. I am afraid he is going to kill some innocent child on christmas so I keep leaving messages. Please do not call Broadway or Sassy cab company. more

Do NOT give them your card, use cash only!!!! 10/23/2009

A few weeks ago my friends and I had a girls night out and decided to play it safe and use a cab to get home. Once we got to my house the driver swiped my card a few times and said it didn't work. I assured him there was money in my acct and he rudely said ""well, it's not working!!!"" So, he said he had to take me to an ATM. I got money out for him, paid him, and even tipped him with his rudeness... Now, 3 weeks later, I see that the charge went through on my card after all! So, a $20 cab ride ended up costing me $50. The driver never gave me a receipt and the only receipt I had was from the ATM machine, so of course, I'm screwed the extra $25 bucks. I'm NEVER using this company again and urging others to never do it either! Pros: a ride home Cons: rude drivers, scam you out of your money more

Call Someone Else 10/19/2009

Anthony took my girlfriend from a club in downtown to tigard, but got ""lost"" while trying to get her to come to his place and party. When she finally made it home, he tried to charge her $60 for a 10 mile ride. Unprofessional and not trust worthy. Don't these places do background checks? Pros: Over charge you Cons: Try to kidnap you more

Avoid Broadway Cabs! 9/28/2009

I am a frequent cab rider and I have been boycotting Broadway Cab for about 6 months now. Saturday night, however, I needed to quickly get from the Pearl District to Pioneer Square to catch the last MAX out of town. I flagged down the first cab to pass me, which was a Broadway Cab. I told him that I was going to Pioneer Square to catch the Max and so he started drive South. I expected him to turn left on left on Yamhill but he passed Yamhill and didnt turn until Salmon. I thought, well maybe he saw a stalled car or some other traffic that i didnt see which was trying to avoid - so i didnt think twice about it. Next, instead of staying in the left turn lane, to turn on 6th, he moved into the right lane wich would have, again, passed our turn. I yelled ""Where are you going? Pioneer Square is That Way! Don't you know where Pioneer Square is!?"" He slowed down and corrected his lane and turned North onto 6th and said ""no."" This is a typical experience for me in Broadway Cabs. This is why unless i have no other choice, I refuse to ride in Broadway Cabs. Once we got to Pioneer Squre, i asked him for his name and his Identification Number. He proceded to become defensive and ask me why. I told him he shouldnt be driving a cab in downtown Portland if he doesnt know where Pioneer Square is. I truely hate Broadway Cab. If you ride with them enough, you will learn to avoid them too. Pros: There are many cabs on the street to flag down. Cons: Drivers do not know the city and speek little english more

Unbelievably rude 6/15/2009

The rudest people I have ever encountered. Incredibly condescending and mean. Hung up because I called from a crowded area. Would never use again! more
