First of all know that many of these reviews on her for car dealers are put on by a third party company the dealer contracts with.
I looked at vehicle online today and dropped by to see if it would work. I was quoted a higher price than on the internet. No big deal internet shoppers are supposed to get better pricing than someone walking on the lot.
The problem is, the sales person Tim told me that ""Red Tagged"" units were going to go to the auction. Dealerships do not auction off same brand late model low mile units. I told him that I thought the price was 17,999 and to call me if he could do it.
When he did he said he could match that price (the one they have advertised) but would have to take the Certification off of it. WHAT!
Also that car was ""sold"" to wholesaler but he would unwind the deal if I could make down today. Also that he could sell me the Certification for only $995.00.
His General Sales manager then called and told me all units advertised as ""Certified"" were in fact ""Pre-Certified"" but the factory Certification was more. Then he said but if you buy the car right now, I will ""throw in"" the certified package.
Very disappointed in the this behavior, especially since I am a dealership consultant and know these actions violate the dealer agreement with VW that allows them to certify pre-owned units.
They may be fine to deal with, but in my experience you should stay away or at least make sure all the i's are dotted and t's crossed with dealing with these guys.
