Don't call them for service, I had them out 3 times to fix my maytag washer and each time they just guessed at it, they replaced 1 part after waiting for over a month for the part to come in and only after Lowes stepped in and got the part for them. Then they said I gave them the wrong phone number and then it was no one was home when we were. The guy went to the wrong house and lied about me not being home. Then they say it is fixed and it still makes the same noise, so I lost my temper with the lady at the cmpany and told her where she could put the washer. I called Lowe's and they are going to send another company out. 2 months and still no washer thanks to Batten. more

At this point, it has been two times that my service contract has given me this company to fix my washer. (Repair man is very nice and helpful) However, both times I have waited over two weeks for the repair to be done. This time it's going on two and a half weeks. The office staff lie and blame my service contract that I have, saying they don't respond to their calls. I have had my service people on three way and I magically get some where with Batten's when they are confronted about their allegations. I never get calls about the progress, when I finally do get through to them, myself, I am given the run around.. I was even hung-up on once! As I sit here with laundry pilled everywhere, I can sware on everything holy that I WILL NEVER go through Batten's again. I will make sure none of my friends use them as well. more

Terrible Experience!! 8/5/2011

I called Battens to repair my washer (whirlpool gave me the list of people in the area) and they seemed so friendly and fast! Tech came out the next day and said he had to order a part and it would be in tuesday and they'd have it installed tuesday or wednesday. i called tuesday and finally got a person to answer the phone. she said she'd call right back with info. no one called! i called wednesday and i got the same response, ""let me look it up and i'll call you right back!!"" NO CALL! Thursday morning i finally get ahold of someone and they said they'll be out that afternoon. he comes out and installs the expensive part and my washer still doesn't work. says it'll be another 185 for another part! from what i can gather he has no idea how to actually fix the washer. he keeps calling Whirlpool and kind of goes with what they say it might be and you have to pay for all his attempts to fix it. Total waste of money. Speaking to the people at the office is like talking to a wall. Please save yourself all the money and headache and call someone else! So sorry that i didn't read the reviews first... more

Don't waste your time 12/28/2009

I called Batten to service my brand new dishwasher that was not washing dishes. It was under warranty so we used the company that was recommended. I had to call 10 times to get someone to answer the phone. The first time I called I left a message and waited a day and no one ever called me back. Eventually they came out and looked at my dishwasher and told me it was fine, that it must be something else (water temperature, water pressure ect) but didn't bother to check any of these ""other problems."" We then contacted another company and they took the dishwasher apart to find there was a part malfunctioning. Cons: Never answer the phone, poor customer service more

Poor service and very slow 11/25/2009

I have had them out to fix a refrigerator like the first posting. They guessed at the problems and actually diagnosed it wrong until I told them what to check. Then they retroubleshot and found out that I had been right and the processing board was shot as well. Repeated calls to the location resulted in voicemail after voicemail with very slow response. The repair took over 2 months with me trying to hurry them. Honestly, you are much better buying a new refrigerator than dealing with his or other service companys in my opinion. They guess on what's wrong, take too much time to fix it, and if its serious, its cheaper to get a new one.
