We have been to On The Menu many times, and the food is always fantastic. It is great also for a late night coffee, tea, and pastries, the best in Broward County. Give it a try, you won't be sorry more

This is the best authentic french cafe/bistro in the area! Love the atmosphere and the staff. I've had breakfast and lunch several times with my friends in this place, and I really enjoyed the sandwiches, especially the Prosciutto panini and the Parisian. Sandwiches come with a soup of the day, a salad or delicious homemade potatoes chips. They also have a wonderful selection of European of pastries that you can enjoy with their tasty cappuccino. My favorite one is the "Royale", I never get tired of having this awesome chocolate mousse cake with crisp hazelnut as a dessert. Great place with daily specials, baguette, quiche, creme brulee, macaroons... and much more! Just found out today that they have a different menu for breakfast and dinner that I will definitely try soon. \r Ps: their croissants (almond, plain or chocolate) are a-m-a-z-i-n-g! more

Made reservation for 7:30 on Valentines day. 15 min after being seated had to get up to find the hostess to ask for a waiter. She finally took our drink order and said waiters were busy. Another 20 min for wine and first course, very small serving. We finished the bottle of wine after an hour an a half and no dinner decided to leave 9 pm. Spoke to mgr who acted like she didn't know anything, and left. This place is terrible! more

We arrived at 7:15pm and were seated right away. The menu was not very authentic. The prices were a bit high considering we were sited between the pastry display and an ATM machine with bright fluorescent, very poor atmosphere. We ordered the foie gras which was an extremely small serving, about the size of a quarter. The wine came in a dirty glass twice. The next course, a garden salad took about 25 minutes to arrive. By 9:15 we had yet to receive our main course. \r \r When we spoke to the manager and she told us our ticket had been lost (not true) and that every restaurant took about 2 hours to serve a main. She was rude, unapologetic and condescending. We paid for the wine and left mid meal. I would recommend avoiding this place at all cost. more

Had a wonderful meal and the service was great. The desserts are out of the world. Highly recommend. Conveniently located but tucked back for an intimate experience. more

First timer for French food and my husband and I are in love with the place. Superb food and excellent service. Beautiful ambiance. Eric was our waiter and he was a delight. Can't wait to return. more

I had dinner with my girlfriends the other night. We each ordered appetizers and dinner. Everything was the freshest and tastiest ever, not to mention the beautiful presentations. For appetizers we had the calamari, which was so fresh and delightful and the spicy dipping sauce was a great accompiant for it. We also had the escargot, and was it the best of all, as well as the mozzarella caprese that was very fresh, and the Coquille St. Jacques was an hit with us girls. For dinner we ordered the Duck Confit, which was moist inside and crispy outside. Another friend ordered an item that was listed as a special, called Chicken Normande, oh was it the most amazing thing ever, really they should put it "on the menu." Some one ordered the Filet and Fois Gras in a raspberry reduction, absolutely gourmet on the palate. The last was the Bavette au Vin, what a way to prepare flank steak. It was tender and had the most wonderful flavor that came from the carmelized shallots and cabernet sauce. For dessert we all had tiramisu lattes and some of the french pastries. Some of the most decedant flavors ever. Our server Eric was outstanding, very knowledgeable of items and courteous. It was like spending a night in Paris. I highly suggest this place to everyone. We will all be back. Job well done!!! more

My wife and I tried On the Menu for the first time using a dining certificate from SouthFlorida365.com. I presented the certificate to the waiter upon entering. My wife and I ordered the scallops; since she wasn't sure if she would like the turnip side, she asked if she could substitute pasta. The waiter, after having said that the chef does not like to substitute, determined that she could substitute pasta. The pasta arrived with the dish, with no sauce. There were also no turnips. The meal was decent, although a little expensive ($24.00) for the portion (4 scallops) received. When we got the bill, there was a $5.00 charge for the pasta. I questioned it and a lady (manager, owner?) came over. She said that we got $40.00 off the meal and shouldn't be concerned about paying an extra $5.00. She then, in a very condescending manner, started to explain to me how I should handle using certificates in a restaurant. This is when I told her not to worry about it, we would NEVER be coming back. more

Don't believe all the nay-sayers who talk badly about this place. It is phenomenal! I don't even like French food, yet I keep going back to this place because the food is excellent! The bread, the pasties, the specials, the salad, the soup...it's all fantastic. \r I've been there five times...taken different friends there each time...and none of us have had a bad experience. This is not a fast food restaurant. Everything is prepare from scratch, so yes, it takes a little longer to get your food, but it's worth it! From the authentic French baguettes flown in from France, to the French pastries, the pumpking Grand Marnier pie, pumpking squash soup, onion soup...you name it...it's delicious. And co-owner Victoria loves to talk about the French cuisine and how they use all fresh ingredients. \r Don't hesitate to experience this place. You won't regret it. Your tongue and your stomach will thank you for it. more

Although the food is excellent, the service is absolutely horrible. They ace as if you should be grateful to be allowed in the restaurant rather than being treated as a welcome guest.\r The sandwiches are actually awesome but after 5PM the ONLY items on the menu are very expensive entrees and the service at dinner is even worse. Aftyer having to go to the case to choose dessert we were never even offered coffee. more

We went there for lunch and ordered the "French" Onion Soup. It was flavorless. We were told that the American palate is not suited to real French food. We were told that the broth was an onion broth and Americans are used to saltier food. Well, let me tell her, I am a trained chef and French onion soup is made with beef stock and is full flavored, not the water with cheese on top that she served. So, the food was bland and terrible, but the worst of it is that the service was surly and disrespectful. more

A few friends and I had dinner here last night and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. We enjoyed authentic French food and wine, while listening to French music, the atmosphere was beautiful. The escargot and the duck confit were A+++ not to mention the PASTRIES were the best i've ever had!!! Definitely going back. more

The food is good. The service is consistently poor. The deserts are amazing. But I would ask which items on the menu are truly organic. more

Upon entrance, clean environment. Authentic French music. However... First waitress appeared hungover, was unattentive and not pleasant. The food and beverages were disappointing. Three different waitresses served us and not well. Our order was not brought out in entirety. Location undesirable. Bathroom smelled horrendous. Not recommended. more

Stopped in on my lunch break after seeing chiropractor next door (Dr. Larry is the best!!). I have been looking for a french bistro place for a while.\r \r The place is beautiful, clean and sleek. Pastries are displayed and make your mouth water. I had a turkey chipotle sandwich with salad and it was delicious and memorable. However, it got a little busy and waitresses seemed flustered. I don't believe it's her fault, but rather the management/owners lack of experience/training. Maybe some morning meetings to build everyone up and to clearly explain everyone's job. \r \r Waitress accidentally charged my credit card the wrong amount and tried to rectify immediately. Owner/Mgnmt. became obviously annoyed, even told me how annoyed she was. It seems she couldn't stay calm and was yelling at servers to "get out on the floor" and mumbled things under her breath. I was calming her down telling her no big deal, small mistakes happen. Everyone just seemed really irritated and confused. Need to change that or people wont come back no matter how good the food is. Owner shouldn't be working, would be more effective to have owner walk around and personally ask everyone how everything is. Perhaps a bus boy is needed to get drinks. \r \r Other than the small issue, really good food and ambiance. more

I came to eat here last week and I found this place to be amazing. I ordered the Zuppa de Pesce and I found it to be a great tasting dish. The clams, mussels, and calamari etc. was so fresh and full of flavor. And to top off my meal, the maitre'd Ralf recommended Heron Pinot Noir wine which was delightful. Might I add that my waitress Alexis was very respectful and patient with me as I picked my selection. But before I left, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Victoria who was very nice. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for a peaceful and tasteful place to eat. more
