i came with my husband and a nother couple\r last week, on a saturday..no reservations..\r but got lucky with a beautiful table at the window....i have traveled all around europe for years and let me tell you i felt like i was back in\r paris/europe...the food did take alittle while to come out, but let me say it was worth it..besides, thats french dinning...take your time and relax\r wine selection was great...\r service, which is a huge part of dinning out\r was...fantastic...(/alex /ralfand christy)\r i recomment this place..and i will be back!! more

We ate dinner here because we saw the write up in Weston Magazine, and we were so sorry we went. The service was absolutely the worst. We sat for 20 minutes with no one even taking our drink orders. Asked if we had a reservation and were given attitude when the hostess found we did not, but the place was empty. Prices are outrageously expensive for a "gourmet cafe" that sits in an office building. Bill for 4 people was 150.00 and we did not have wine or cocktails. That was just in food. The desserts are artistically presented and extremely beautiful but taste like nothing. The beef dish and pork dish we had was mediocre at best. The Capresi salad was very delicious. The balsamic they put on it was excellent and the tomatoes were fresh as was the mozzarella. No one came to clear away the plates until we flagged down a random person walking by begging them for drink refills and to please take away some of dirty plates that spent the entire meal stacking up at our table. The place has so much potential. It lacks management and the service was unapolagetically deplorable. The lighting is like an office so not much "European Ambiance". If you must go try going during the day. Not really a place for dinner. They need some dark thick curtains on all those front windows so that you dont have to look out to the offices and the place looks a little less like a walk up lunch counter. All in all, the service was bad, the food mediocre and the prices OUTRAGEOUS for what you get. I'd skip this one. more

I didn't knew the place, but we went because we purchased a coupon of $20 for a $35 value bill. I was very confident I was going to save money in my lunch, however, we spent $26 additional. I went with my husband, each of us ate a soup and a sandwich,so I personally think, it's a little pricey. However, what I really loved about this place was the grilled onion soup, the best I have ate in a long time, 100% recommend it. Also the fresh pastry, it was just made and it literally melt in our mouths. Hmm. I will come back (hopefully with another coupon), if not I'll buy just those 2 items. more

Went on a Saturday for lunch, many tables with dirty dishes on them and the rest of the tables filled. People waiting to order, I waited 20 minutes and got up and got my own menu, then continued to wait. No server. Asked the owner, be right there, never came. Other people angry that their food did not arrive. Service is abominable. It does not matter what the food is like although I will never know as I left without seeing a server. more

...but the service is amateurish. We dined there last night and were waited on my a lovely young woman who was eager to please. However, when I asked her to bring me a large spoon and a bowl for my mussel shells, she returned with a teaspoon and a small bread dish. I explicitly asked for a second plate so that I could share my husband's beef burgundy and noodles. Again, she brought me a bread plate. She had to go back and get my husband a fork because she had already cleared his original fork. And, my worst gripe in a restaurant: clearing dinner plates while someone is still tucking into his meal. The food is a real highlight and a nice addition to west side dining. I'll go back once more to give the owner a chance to develop a professional wait staff. more

A friend invited me for lunch at these cafe and for the last past five month, I eat 3 to 4 times a week for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I don't have any complaint about the food or the service. I'm always welcoming by the owners and the staff. They've the best gourmet sandwiches made on a fresh french baguette or a Italian ciabatta baguette. I love also their salads, onion soup, daily specials and the variety of baked goods from Europe. On the evening the place change totally and became a french fine dining bistro restaurant experience with a great wine and deserts selection. The foods and sauces test exactly the same as a french bistro in France. On the menu is not just a cafe the day and bistro restaurant the night but is also a authentic french pastry shop with a incredible selection of elegant and tasty french deserts as a bakery in Paris. Made fresh daily and serve all day to eat in or to go. I travel around the world and a lot in France and in Europe and I should said, this is one of the best place to experience in south Florida with a original and great concept as a cafe, bistro and pastry shop. more

i went there for lunch and was taken care by this handsome waiter around in his late 30s the service was fantastic but the food was slow there where only 2 people in the place and i asked foe a Cobb salad the salad was old and it tasted stale i had also asked for my dressing on side which they did not even after the waiter wrote it on the ticket for the kitchen that he showed me also they never put the avocado The Chef came out and brought me my avocado and had the worst attitude you can imagine,,,another thing was that no one there new anything about the pastries and i could swear that the woman who claimed to be the owner was under the influence of something and smelled like an ashtray i will never go there again when i have so many places to choose from......thank you more

So great to taste the wonderful flavors of the Mediterranean right here in Davie! Our hostess was none other than the ever delightful owner and fellow francophile Victoria Williamson of Churchill's fame. The menu was masterminded by maestro Pascal and executed to perfection by chef Giuseppe. With that team in place, expectations were high that this would be a food lovers delight. Well let me tell you that they didn't disappoint! Our dinner was cooked to perfection and customized to the last detail. We started with scrumptious scallops, continued with crispy duck confit (one of my all time favorite dishes), followed it up with tender lamb chops, and finished with tastings of chocolate mousse and creme brulee. All of this feasting was done with a few aromatic bottles of Francis Ford Coppola's 2006 ruby red Claret that complemented the food perfectly. What else to say --except it's a must for breakfast, lunch or dinner. For a peak experience, make sure to stroll into 'On the Menu' --it'll make you feel like you stepped out of Davie and into a Paris bistro!! more

I just finished up having dinner here with my girlfriend. We both loved it. Justin was our server, he was very nice and sweet. In addition the food was to die for, we shared the beef dish and eggplant. Victoria the owner came by to check up on us who was extremely nice .We finished off with some of the best cheesecake I've ever had in my life. Definitely will become one of my daily dinner eats. more

Got a certificate for this restaurant off Restaurant.com. A little nervous about going since I had never been there before, but our party of 8 absolutely loved it! The owner Victoria and her staff - Stephanie and Gordon were wonderful to us. Very attentive. The food was excellent. The french baguettes were the best I ever had and I do not like bread. We had about everything on the menu and loved it all. For dessert the cheesecake was our favorite. We were happy to hear that she would ship it to us when we want to have it again. more

On the Menu is a great find in Davie. We had lunch today and loved the food, atmosphere and most of all, the owners, Victoria and Pascal. My son in law who is French is excited to go back for dinner. The menu is varied and reasonably priced, the food including fabulous bread pudding were beautifully served in a warm casual atmosphere. It is difficult to see from University Drive as it is in a strip center on the west side just south of Griffin Rd. It is weel worth finding. more

Fantastic French, Italian & Spanish food! Beautiful selection of delicious European pastries and incredible souffles. This is a place to meet up with friends for a lovely breakfast or for a very nice lunch with Panini sandwiches, fresh salads , daily special or also for a specialty coffee with a pastry in the afternoon.
