At the Arnold Animal Hospital, patient care is why we are here. I would like to address the topic of a client we did not sell flea product because we had not seen the pet recently...

Worst

I bought my Yorkie from a lady in the Lemay area and she had all her shots given at the Lemay Animal Hospital. Since I live here in Arnold, I thought I would just have all her rec...

10 year patient with 2 dogs is a satisfied customer of AAH 2/7/2009

My dog has been a patient with Arnold Animal Hospital for 10 years. I have a friend who used to be a vet there and now works for another clinic. My dad is also very good friends with the owner of another clinic near me. I started taking my dog to AAH, because my vet friend worked there, but even after my friend moved, I remained a customer of AAH, because I thought they did a good job and everyone there knew and cared about my pet. I really can't comment on the experiences of others, but the characterization of AAH as a whole based on the way some reviewers have interpreted their personal experience is simply not fair. For example, while the comment in the review below is true that I seldom leave the office without spending $100, it is usually because I am buying products for flea & tick prevention and heart-worm prevention. $100 every 6 months isn't really that expensive when it comes to your "best friend", is it? It's simply the responsibility you assume when you adopt your pet and i more

Expensive and NOT Helpful 12/17/2008

I was recommended to Arnold Animal Hospital because their prices were supposably inexpensive. WRONG! I made the mistake of letting them know that I was a new dog mom and they took full advantage of me. I've never left the office spending less than $100. They would put guilt trips on me and tell me that I needed this and that, and it's up to me but its for my dogs health. Then when I took my dog there to be nuetered, they also added on a bunch of unneccessary charges, plus claimed he had a ear infection. My bill after the surgery was nearly $400 for a nueter! To top it off, my dog's surgery was horrible. His incisions took over a month to heal and I ended up in the ER with him because he was bleeding out of one of the incisions. It was the most terrible experience I have ever had. Anytime I call to ask questions they act like I was bothering them. When I would go in for a visit, I would be ignored for other patients that they 'knew' or were friends with. Going here was the biggest mist more

One bad apple 6/7/2008

We took our pets there for their shots, and we took a stray in for an exam. The dog had obviously been well cared for at one time because her nails were neatly trimmed. I tried to find her owner but had no luck. I also thought she might be pregnant. Arnold Animal Hospital has several vets. We ended up with one that saw dollar signs. I asked if the dog was pregnant and she said she could be but they wouldn't be able to tell for awhile. She said that if the dog got bigger, to bring her in and they could tell. I told her IF the dog got bigger, I would be able to tell. So, we got the shots and went home. That evening, I noticed worms in the stray's stools and around her anus. I called the vet and she said I needed to bring her back in to be tested and would be charged another office visit. I told her she should have noticed the worms when she examined her in the first place. I told her they were tapeworms and wanted a pill to get rid of them. She refused, saying she had to se more

World Class Care 10/26/2007

I take both of my dogs to Arnold Animal Hospital for routine check-ups and for emergency situations. They are great when it comes to questions/concerns. They have helped so many times just over the phone and are even more spectacular in person. Their main goal is to get your pet healthy not to order and charge you with every expensive test out there. I have even used them for surgery for one of my dogs and they were great from beginning to end. My favorite thing about Arnold Animal Hospital- they will call you just to check up on your pet, to see how they are feeling after a sickness or just to remind you if any shots are due. more

Good experience 11/18/2005

We had to take my dog here, and they were so good with her. She had an ear infection and we couldn't get her in with her regular vet. They really enjoy what they do here- and it shows. The staff was so helpful, and we knew our dog was in great hands. more

We have taken our pets here several times in the past. They are really friendly and help out any way they can, and their prices are good. They even helped out when we found an abandoned stray cat, without charging anything. more
