LAST WEDNESDAY 2-17-2010,IWAS VACUUMING AND PULLED OUT A WIRE IN MY HOT WATER HEATER,IHAD NO IDEA WHAT IT WAS.CALLED APPLEWOOD THEY CAME OUT AND JUST PLUGGED IT BACK IN AT NO CHARGE,I THOUGHT IT WAS BROKEN,THANK YOU GUYS,I HAVE USED APPLEWOOD MANY TIMES AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO.THEY ARE FAIR AND REASONABLE.EVERYONE I HAVE DEALT WITH HAS BEEN VERY NICE EVEN WHEN I HAVE BEEN UPSET ABOUT SOMETHING BREAKING DOWN OR PLUGGING UP.SO IF YOU NEED A PLUMBER/ELECTRICIAN AND WANT SOMEONE YOU CAN TRUST CALL APPLEWOOD. Watch Out 2/15/2010

Paid $250 per hour for sink replacement and three facets (kitchen, batch, sink) in about 8 hours. We supplied all the hardware ($2400 for 8 hours work). Over the top price. On top of that he made comments about the hardware, I bought the most expensive from Home Depot, obviously he works for multi-millionaires only. I had a friend who paid $1200 per hour (one hour work. WOW wished I had not made that decision to except the contract, ok call me dumb, my husband insisted we not do the work. Hated the facet and replaced it myself when my husband went to work. Feel disgraced that I paid this price. Never again... I have several friends who feel the same, how do they get such great ratings I don't know. Must be the employees writing them, or there are numeous multi-millionaires who can affort $250 to 1000 an hour for plumbers. Pros: done on time, so so work Cons: watch the price more

Great plumbing service 2/15/2010

The best part about Applewood, is that they send you an email with the picture of the technician who will be dispatched to your house. This is very reasuring and comforting to know who will be at your home working. the email includes license information. The technician was on time and very professional. The work being done was a minor fix but was done professionally and quickly. following the repair the plumbing was tested and verified. I will happily be using applewood in the future for my plumbing and HVAC needs. more

Applewood is a great company. Their employees are professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our technician John was on time, explained everything that had to be done and took great care to make sure he did not damage our new wood floors when he connected our gas oven. I will be using Applewood again and I will recommend them to all my friends and neighbors more

Applewood is amazing. They were on time, professional, and troubleshooted my issues minimizing the expense to me. I loved the serviceman, Nate. I have never had a service professional walk me through all the issues and explain the solution. I highly recommend them and will only use them to service my property in the future. Very good work with very good service 1/5/2010

I live in an old house and things happen: Applewood has been great to work with. I've had them out for a heating and plumbing issues and each time when I call I get a nice live person. Setting up times has always been easy. When they give you a window of when they are going to be there they are on it. Amazing work and service 12/12/2009

I have had problems with my heater every winter for the past 8 years. No other heating and air companies could find the problem. Applewood fixed the problem within 30 minutes, they were the most reasonabled priced company I have used and they gave me a 2 year warranty on top. Pros: No one else could fix it but them more

Same day service, complete satisfaction beginning with superb telephone contact, an efficient and courteous technician who was prompt and knowledgeable and had the repair parts on his truck. The tech wore booties to protect our carpets from newly fallen snow and he cleaned the work area after he was finished. Reasonably priced services were broken down into categories. Concise charges were easily understood and credit cards were accepted on the spot. A followup call was received the same day as service to rate our satifaction followed by a written thank you note filled with coupons. Would recommend and certainly use again. Called on Friday and set appointment for Monday. Received call Monday, AM announcing when Electrician would arrive. Arrived on time, professional approach to problems, thoroughly reviewed my options, provided an accurate estimate and completed job in an efficient manner. Technician was polite, neat in appearance and detailed in explanation of problems and solutions. Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric is the most customer services oriented business I?ve experienced. The service window was an amazing 2 hours and when the technician was on his way to my appointment, Applewood phoned and sent a copy of the technician?s picture to my email so I would recognize him before I opened the door. The technician explained thoroughly what needed to be done and finished the job earlier than projected. He cleaned up the area so there was no evidence he?d ever been there, other than a new water heater!Best Pros: Prompt service more

These guys were horrible. Our downstairs drain backed up. Called them to come out. Guy supposedly pushed the snake out past the trap. Ran the washer a day later, backed up again. Second guy comes out, this time the second guy tells us that it has to be the septic tank, in looking at it it's full and we should pump it, this is why it is backing up. We looked in the septic tank and it's not even up to the white pvc pipe that comes out from the house and drains into the pit. So how is it rising 4ft and draining backwards? Never-the-less we call the septic company and have it pumped. The guy leaves and we run the washer again, it backs up AGAIN! Call these amateurs one last time to come fix what I originally requested them to fix. They insisted on credit card payment over the phone before they would even come out. What nerve! The 3rd guy FINALLY realized there was a blockage toward the septic tank, and insured that it was pushed through. He ran the washer and the downstairs batheroom sink, more

This company's customer service has been exceptional. I had Chris & Levi on HVAC for my new furnace installation. Craig on as electrician to bring electrical up to code for the new furnace, and Zach took care of the plumbing for the new furnace. Everyone of these guys were so friendly, knowledgable about their work, and very neat. There was never a sign that I had any workers at my house, they always cleaned up. My dad was an architect and messy work sites were his pet peeve. Even he would have been impressed. Levi and Chris showed me everything I need to know about the new furnace. I hate going in my crawlspace but the changes that were made down there make it almost OK to be down there. Although this was not an inexpensive ""adventure"" I absolutely feel that I got my moneys worth and then some. I will always call Applewood for the services they provide. What a daunting thing it is to have your furnace go out when you know you are facing a Colorado winter. as a single mother, I also always want to ensure that I am getting the best service possible. I certainly found that with Applewood! From their excellent customer service, to compassionate and knowledgeable electrician I knew I found the right place. They go as far as sending a picture of the technician prior to your appointment so you know who you are letting into your house. I have a furnace original to my 1957 house and it will need to be replaced, but instead of a strong sales pitch, the electrician got it up and running to take me safely through this season, giving me a chance to save for a new one! When that time comes, I will absolutely use Applewood to buy and install! more

Dishonest 10/22/2009

Called Applewood for an estimate on pulling a natural gas line from the basement to the kitchen. The estimate was about $1200. The plumber got very mad when we said we weren't interested and had received quotes much cheaper. He then questioned credentials of other companies.
