Earlier this month I had need of electrical work. As I was in a crunch, I looked at ads in the phone book and chose Applewood. I didn't, unfortunately, do a internet review check. It turned out the diagnosis and repair were completed in an hour and a half. I did opt to not have one thing that was diagnosed fixed. Afterward I started to wonder about the cost. Some investigation and talking with others led me to become very unhappy. Essentially I paid $500/hour after a $100 coupon. Parts, if bought at ACE, would have been less than $50. The item I did not have worked on was not returned to its original state; wires are left disconnected and the screws needed to reattach it are missing. And this company received an award for ethics? And the owner Businessman of the Year?
Pros: Quick
Cons: Unreasonably expensive
