professional and courteous 6/18/2008

The applewood folks were great. Our air conditioner wasn't working in the middle of a heat wave and the company we usually used said they couldn't come for 2 weeks. We saw an applewood truck a few houses down, stopped the driver and he gave us the number to call. The next morning, the guy came, gave us the estimate and fixed the air conditioner. I was pleased that he was very friendly, didn't track mud and grime all over my house, was totally professional and fast. We'll definitely call them next time. I wish it wasn't so expensive, but that just may be the way things are. more

EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE!!!! 6/17/2008

Yes they were prompt. Yes they were clean. Yes I was given a quote before the job began (install new water pressure regulator). Afterwards I had a suspicion that it was overly expensive. I contacted three other locals plumbers for a quote. Pros: None. Cons: Only for the rich or foolish. more

Great service 6/11/2008

I called the Saturday before Memorial Day, expecting to make an appointment for after the holiday to have a new dryer vent installed and summer tuneup done on my air conditioning. Instead, they had someone at my house the next day (Sunday on a holiday weekend) at no extra charge. He did excellent, professional work and I was impressed with how fast they got it done. I'm still amazed they showed up on a holiday weekend without an extra charge to do my work. Pros: professional work, went out of his way to avoid bringing dirt into my house. more

Great Service! 6/11/2008

Applewood Plumbing was promptly on time, I was not waiting around for them. They were very professional when they arrived as well as when they left. The price quoted me was the price I payed and the work took about half the time that they said it would take. They cleaned up after themselves so there was no need for me to do it. I would not hesitate to use them again. more

Great Plumbing! 6/5/2008

I have recently used Applewood twice. Both times the plumbers were professional, courteous and fast. The dispatchers are really good about telling you when the plumber will be at your home. My condo is part of the ""Service Plan"" which gives a better deal on the price. I definitely recommend Applewood and the ""Service Plan."" more

We have been using Applewood this year, they were recommended by a friend. Best thing that ever happened to us. We have never worked with such a compentent, knowledgeable, hard working & very helpful staff, from the dispatchers to all their employees. We are very satisfied with their work & we have had them on other problems & concerns we have had. We have used the electrical staff, & the plumbing staff & they are the best ever. We would recommend them for all their services. Prompt & dispatch keeps you well informed when they will arrive. Wonderful company & glad we have been able to use their services. Terrific service! 6/4/2008

We recently had a very serious plumbing problem in the basement. This problem has been on-going for a long time and we came to the conclusion that we needed professional help. Applewood Plumbing, Heating and Electrical was our choice after research. We are extremely satisified with the work they did for us. The problem was diagnosed on the first visit and the work was started and finished the next day. The basement floor had to be broken up for about sixteen feet to replace old and rusted out pipes leading to the main drain. The two men working the project were very professional. They not only told us what had to be done, but also showed us everything step by step. It was an expensive repair, but much less than we expected. We do not regret the expense because we are sure that we are done with any more serious problems.The finished job shows a high level of expert workmannship and we would highly recommend this company! They did a great job!! Pros: Thumbs up! Great work and showed step by step what had to be done! Cons: Can't think of any other than we would have liked to start our retirement a different way. more

we have had a few problems with our house and they have been able to help us out when ever we need it and they are all ways on time and there is not a long wait for them to come and see you which is good when your heating goes out or you have no water. Pros: very reliable Cons: not the best value more

Water gushing in basement on a Sunday? Call Applewood! 5/12/2008

When I went to my basement to get cleaning supplies, I heard a strange noice and realized water was gushing all over the hardwood floor. I turned off the main water valve, but water kept coming. I knew I had big problems and I knew it was Sunday. I called Applewood and they were there in 15 minutes. The main water pipe had cracked. By Monday afternoon, I had a new pipe, a new cement slab on the sidewalk and my grass was not badly torn up. I especially appreciated their concern for my historic home. I knew I was in good hands. more

Fixed My AC, and are cosequently my HEROS 5/8/2008

I must say that I have had some pretty bad experiences with air conditioning repair people in the past, but Applewood heating and cooling has given me faith again. They even charge a fair price. The tech. came ON TIME, fixed my AC in less than an hour, and was actually conversational in the process. I really can't stand the repair guys who come to your house and can't even be polite, it makes the whole process very unsettling. In any case the tech from Applewood was very polite and it really helped ease the uneasiness of having a stranger enter my house. I totally recommend their service and will hire them for all of my household heating, cooling, and plumbing needs. Pros: reasonable price, polite, and concerned about customer service Cons: not the cheapest company out there, but I suppose you get what you pay for more
