Great Company! 5/25/2011

I worked with Apple One for a few months. It was a good experience. They got me working as soon as they could on temp jobs. I recommend them. Alison more

Exceptional Service 5/24/2011

Cindy at Apple One has been great to work with - I can't recommend her highly enough. She helped me find a temporary assignment and was very attentive to my career goals and hopes of finding permanent employment. I will definitely use Apple One again. more

Very Nice People 5/21/2011

Apple One is a good staffing agency to go to for help with your job search. I am on my second assignment with them right now and I have like both assignment I have had. I had another family member work for them, he got hired on permanently with his company. He is very happy. They listen to what you are looking for and try really hard to get it for you. more

THE place to get hired! 5/20/2011

You should try these guys. They were attentive to my parameters for employment and did their best to find something that worked for me in a tough job market. I'm really happy! more

Be very careful 2/1/2011

I am disappointed with AppleOne. No matter what your qualifications they will always steer you into a sales job... usually at a call center. These all seem to be located at the very edge of town so that it takes you hours to get there and back. When you complain about this job and ask for a reassignment they tell you that you will have to effectively "quit" which means you will lose your unemployment (if you still qualify). In effect, they have you in a TRAP. You are stuck. The feign understanding, but really their loyalty is entirely with their clients which is the business that pays them to have you work there. You are merely a tool for AppleOne to make their sales goals. There is no customer service involved here... just sales of which you are the object. Please be very careful applying to work here. You can find equal work at minimum wage or slightly above minimum wage on your own. more

Beyond Expectation 10/6/2010

I have been trying for over a year job searching not only on my one but through "Other staffing companies" with no results. Back several months ago I sent an application from a posting from Indeed for Apple One. They (Colin and Michelle plus the whole staff) not only only replied but went more than the extra mile as far as I am concerned. I am about to venture on a new assignment because of there efforts. All I ever got from the "Others", was the typical auto response, thank you very much. Want a job tomorrow don't try the "Others". Go directly to Apple One for quick, fast and professional results, you will be very happy that you did. Go Apple One more

pleasant experience through excellent service 7/7/2010

I've contacted Cindy through an online job ad and she scheduled an appointment to meet with me right away (within that same week) to discuss about the job position and any other future opportunties she could find for me. Cindy was very through and friendly throughout the whole interview, and even though the job I originally applied didn't work out Cindy never gave up and helped me find one that was more suitable. I can't thank Apple One enough for the pleasant experience of my job search, I've been with other agencies before and none of them could compare to Apple One. Pros: professional, helpful, friendly, efficient Cons: n/a more

AppleOne Employment 7/1/2010

I am a teacher and needed some extra money for the summer. I signed up with AppleOne and had a job a week later. I was very happy with their service - got in and out very quickly - and they have been a joy to work with. Looking forward to working with them for the remainder of the summer. Pros: Great People - Thorough Cons: None more

Professional Style 6/17/2010

Having relocated to the Portland area, I found that several staffing agencies were dismissive of my qualifications, and even implied that I was unqualified for employment. I was already registered with AppleOne in another state and had expected the impersonal atmosphere I had encountered elsewhere. Was I surprised! From my first call to Cindy, I realized this office is something special! Cindy allowed me to provide past test scores, saving me the stress and agrivation of retaking skills assessments for the umpteenth time. Cindy assured me that I had a skill set that was marketable. One day she called me to see if I was interested in a short-term one-day assignment. I jumped at the chance. I found my one day assignemnt to be satisfying, and Cindy checked up to see how I was doing. In this all too often dismissive employment market, I have found few placement specialists who respect the job seeker. Cindy knows that a happy job seeker performs better for the client than an alienated worker. I am looking forward to my next assignment! Pros: Respect the job seeker Cons: Looking for next asssignment more

Apple One Employment Service is Awesome! 6/17/2010

I received this e-mail and in the subject line it mentioned hiring outside loan officers. The timing couldn't have been any better since my existing company was merging with a bank and the policy would not allow for out side loan officers. Being stuck in an office waiting on clients to come to me is not my style. I need to be mobile to go where they are and available to meet new clients out in the real world. I simply responded to the e-mail stating what I was looking for, how long I have been in the business, a brief work history, and my goals. I was contact via phone by a representive of Apple One Employment Service and asked if they could forward my information on to a prospect who was hiring. Not long after that, I received a call from the CEO of Town & County Home Loans. It was funny because I had just arrived at a track meet for my son. It was noisy and I wasn't even sure where I was going. The man on the other end of the phone was very sweet and took much time to explain to me about his company, vision, and goals. He had already read enough information on me that he expressed interest. It was so different from other interviews and I loved it! I met with him later that week and was hired. This is exactly what I was looking for and I can't be more pleased. Apple One Employment Service really takes time to match people to what they are truly interest in and that is refreshing. Pros: Fast, thorough, and a perfect match. Cons: No draw backs. Just easy and convenient. more

Professional and Helpful 6/15/2010

I have had a great experience working with Appleone. Their staff is always so nice and helpful and Ive never had an issue with payment. They worked hard as a liason between myself and the company to make sure that it was a great fit for both parties. I would highly recommend for anyone to work with Appleone for finding the perfect fit. I love my job and am very thankful that I found such a wonderful place to work and begin my new career. Pros: Very friendly staff, professional, will work hard for you Cons: There in downtown Portland, Im in Beaverton :) more

Helpful fun staff! 6/15/2010

I spent one year looking for a job, registered with 3 different agencies, Appleone sent me an email about a job on Tuesday, and I started working on the following Monday, they got me to work fast! I love my job and the Recruiter, Holly Hunter was very helpful! Thanks Appleone! Pros: I am working! more

Helpful, Polite, Proffessional 6/15/2010

With unemployment being so high now a days its really hard finding a job.Im with several temp agencys to help keep me working but Apple One is by far the best in my book. They're the only ones who actually called me back and placed me in any assignments. When you call them they are helpful and polite, I'm really glad i discovered this company. Pros: Polite staff, reliable more

Knowledgeable, helpful recruiting staff 2/15/2010

In this market it's so important for job seekers to get realistic, positive advice from recruiters on what it will take to get placed with the right company. I really appreciated the knowledgeable advice I got from Nikki Spencer in the downtown Portland office. She was supportive, pragmatic and professional. Pros: Helpful and supportive Cons: none more

Very helpful and professional 2/2/2010

I signed up with 5 recruiters, and AppleOne was the only one to send me for a job interview. I did not land the job I have applied for, came in a close 2nd, but the same day they told me the news, they also told me about a possibility in Hillsboro, only 15 minute commute from my home! I enjoy my temporary position and it's great to be back to work! Jessica Shown and the Portland staff have been helpful and professional, as well as very supportive during a family emergency. I would totally recommend them to any job seekers in the market, and will continue working with them after this assignment is complete! Pros: supportive Cons: none at this time more

Happy Customer!! 1/25/2010

I am currently using 5 placement agencies. Apple one is the only service that has found me work in this oversaturated market. I went in to meet with one of their representatives and they already had an interview set up for me before I left that day and I was working a week later. I have been very happy with the level of service when I have questions or need information. I would definitely recommend Apple One to anyone looking for work. Pros: Speedy employment Cons: none more

Big fan of the Portland downtown Apple One office. 1/12/2010

I retired from the Military in 1989 and signed up with five temp agencies after retiring from a second career in Banking in 2007. The Apple One downtown Portland office staff are one of the two temp agencies that have been the most successful in finding me work I can do at the highest pay rates. The type of work I did in my 22 years in the military and 18 years in Banking did not prepare me very well for the extremely competitive, executive level office skill requirements generated by the high unemployment crises that has arisen in the last few years. As a senior citizen, I am no longer that easy to place in a competitive work environment. The Staffing managers and office support team at the Downtown Apple One Office have been outstanding in their efforts to place me in suitable employment situations. I have always been treated with respect and a cheerful, friendly and helpful attitude. I recently completed a two month assignment at Wells Fargo Bank and Apple One Staffing Managers are finding me on-going work at Nordstrom's Department Store and other assignments / interviews. Update; I just completed an excellent three week Office Clerk assignment at Knowledge Learning Corporation near Lloyd Center just 15 minutes from my home, the money was good and I got some valuable training thanks to Michelle and the staff at the downtown AppleOne Office. There is never a guarantee that any temp agency can keep a worker busy all the time but Apple One has been one of the most successful agencies that I have had the pleasure to work for. Jerry Cowan Pros: Staffing Managers work hard to find me suitable work. Cons: Nothing to report, there the best. more

Apple still #1 1/11/2010

I have been with temp services on and off over my 30 year working history and Appleone rates as one of the better agencies I have used. My job history has included many many jobs, some of which Temp agencies have given me; from Sheet Metal Union (retired member now) to Printing companies- Accounts Payables like Thayer in Bvt., (got a letter of recommendation in 1987 there, if I recall). So, my latest ordeal was when my PT, Call center marketing job went back east in August. I signed up with Oregon Employment Division and then started the Internet search process, resume upgrade, and general application process. I went into 2 other temp agencies and completed an intake with Goodwill Job Search down on MLK. Appleone must have called me within about 3 days of registering with them. Their internet site boasts of 4 1/2 stars out of 5 and that is absolutely true. In my experience, the only time you could possibly go wrong with a Temp Agency is when you stray outside their guidlines, misinterpret their demands, or view outcomes negatively and fail to put a positive future outlook on your work. I panicked when I failed to properly send in my timecard (with Appleone on my first week) on the Internet and fired off a too concerned letter to the supervisors, only to find my paycheck at my front door when I got home. OK, so I jumped the gun in order to be on top, (I dislike being on the bottom of things anyway.) So, what has Appleone done wrong? NOTHING has gone wrong! If something is going to go wrong in the future it will only be because of a communication thing... whatever that might be... and that can be straightened out no matter what. I am happily on my 3rd assignment with Appleone, and am very proud to be an employee for Appleone and their chosen client. I don't get up in the morning thinking how tough it is to take on a bunch of various assignments, because I know I can do it and that I am qualified for the job or they would not have put me on it. I have access to a Health Insurance Policy if I want it. The assignments have all paid what the economy can bare.... which has been far above minimum wage. The people are great and work hard and try to help. The communication lines are open. They are fair and just...we are all trying to do the best we can. What more can I say other than you owe it to yourself to sign up with the temps and start looking on the bright side of things! Sincerely, Satisfied worker Pros: Need a job? Cons: I can't speak against this. more

Poor Communication 7/13/2009

On Friday, they called and told me I had a job and to begin on Monday. I was given the address and over the weekend I drove to the location to time the commute and familiarize myself with the office. On Monday, as I stood in the lobby in a mild panic, I was informed over the phone that they had forgotten to tell me that the only way to access the office was by private elevator, that I would need a key, and that no one was in upstairs who could let me in. Then the Apple One coordinator sent me packing, presumably because I was "late". The stress, frustration, and emotional duress are not worth it. I will never search for a job through this company again. HD Pros: Found a job Cons: Lost the job more
