I first contacted Apple One a couple of months ago and scheduled an appointment to come in to the office. The day before my appointment, I received a job offer, so I called in to cancel my appointment. I informed them I had gotten a job, and he told me that my profile would remain available so that I would not have to fill the whole thing out again. Two months later I was "layed" off (apparently Citysearch finds the correct spelling inappropriate), so I contacted them again. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very rude and pushy, but in the end she set up an appointment for me to come in after hearing about my experience and reviewing my profile. I called the office again today because I have to leave town unexpectedly due to a family emergency. I asked to reschedule, and the woman asked me again to restate my experience. Then she told me that based on my experience (which includes 10+ years of office work, including support work, clerical work, and front desk experience plus project management and coordinator experience) that Apple One was ?not the place? for me. I asked her why the several people I?d spoken with in the past had not said that, and she told me the only record of anyone at their office ever speaking to me was that someone tried to call me and my voice mail wasn?t working. I asked her what about my experience was not appropriate, and she would not say anything other than "I am looking at your profile and this is not the place for you". I am disappointed first of all for the extremely rude attitude of the front desk staff and secondly that I was suddenly told after being in contact with Apple One several times that I am, as someone with extensive office and clerical experience in a variety of settings, not appropriate for a firm that places office and clerical workers. I guess all the bad reviews for this place are right (Citysearch is the only site that gives them a good review).
Pros: One person there in the last 3 months was polite.
Cons: Rude, only one type of position, strangely inconsistent.
