Review content:
Having relocated to the Portland area, I found that several staffing agencies were dismissive of my qualifications, and even implied that I was unqualified for employment. I was already registered with AppleOne in another state and had expected the impersonal atmosphere I had encountered elsewhere.
Was I surprised! From my first call to Cindy, I realized this office is something special! Cindy allowed me to provide past test scores, saving me the stress and agrivation of retaking skills assessments for the umpteenth time. Cindy assured me that I had a skill set that was marketable.
One day she called me to see if I was interested in a short-term one-day assignment. I jumped at the chance. I found my one day assignemnt to be satisfying, and Cindy checked up to see how I was doing. In this all too often dismissive employment market, I have found few placement specialists who respect the job seeker. Cindy knows that a happy job seeker performs better for the client than an alienated worker.
I am looking forward to my next assignment!
Pros: Respect the job seeker
Cons: Looking for next asssignment
