A couple of months ago, I took my dear older dog in to this clinic for a second opinion. I had been scheduled with Dr Mark Dildee to talk about possible treatments for him.
When I got inside, we were greeted at the door by an overly active/excited young dog who was off leash! He came bouncing up and started nipping at my dogs feet and ears, then proceeded to mount him!! As I am trying to wrestle this young pup off of my sore little old man, everyone in the office seems oblivious. They were just chatting non nonchalantly with each other. The owner finally noticed the assault and came to retrieve her dog. My first impression is not good.
We were taken down a dark hallway into a room that was noticeably dirty. The nurse took us back out front, cleaned a room and put us in a room where the word ""f***"" had been scratched into the examination table. We waited for a short period of time, trying not to listen to the receptionists chatting up front like little hens, talking loudly of things that I would deem unprofessional.
An older man walked in, introducing himself as Dr Tesler. I tell him there must have been a mistake as I was scheduled with Dr Dildee. Dr Tesar informs me he would be seeing me today instead. I try to fill Dr Tesler in on my dogs diagnosis from other vets, and what we had talked about. I am not in the medical profession, so my grasp on the dogs condition is not great. Dr Tesler seemed uninterested and interrupted me several times. He didn't seem to want to hear about what the other Veterinarians think. He sort of groped my dog, and stating he looked great. I mention that the other 2 vets I had seen had recommended bloodwork, and that I would like to do it if he thought it was necessary.
He took my dog to the back, brought him up a few minutes later, and the next thing I knew, I was checking out. As I am leaving I notice that I have not been charged for the bloodwork. I mention this to the receptionist, and she told me that we did not do bloodwork. I told them I was pretty sure we had, as my dog had gone to the back, and I had asked Dr Tesler for it. She goes to the back to ask Dr Tesler, and sure enough, the bloodwork had not been done.
Why did they take my dog to the back? What did they do with him back there?
This visit was a complete waste of time. Dr Tesler seemed like he didn't care at all, he barely looked at or touched my dog, and didn't even do what I had asked him to do! He doesn't seem to have his head in the game.
