Animal Medical Clinic

When I first got my kittens, I called around to a number of vets to find out all the basics (shots, litter box tricks, etc). They were so helpful and friendly on the phone to a ""novice"" pet owner. I've had my two kittens for 8 months now and this vet has just been great! They truly are friendly, not pushy, they really care about my boys, and if the vet has to call me back, she always find time - even when I don't have an appointment! They are great - just wish had they had boarding facility too! Pros: The caring, kind staff, clean facilities, reasonable rates, convenient location Cons: They don't have a boarding facility. more

This is not a raving rant from someone who has a vendetta against ""Dr"" Tesar. I have never written a review of anything similar to this, but I feel personally obligated to warn every person in the Portland-metro area to please, do not take your animals to Randy Tesar. He might seem alright in the appointment room, but this man is anything but. He is a hack as a veterinarian, but much worse, he has no interest or compassion for animals and their welfare. Find out how many times he has been sued by previous clients and technicians (He has one of the highest number of veterinarian suits in the state). Check his history of fatality rates among his four-legged clients who cannot speak for themselves. There are few veterinarians in the Portland area who think well of Randy Tesar, for these exact reasons. \r \r Please remember that the other veterinarians and technicians at Animal Medical Clinic are fantastic examples as to what the animal-care field is all about. Absolutely the best vet in the Portland metro area. All the staff are really caring and provide exceptional customer service. It's never a problem to fitted in when you have something urgent. Their hours are convenient and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The really seem genuinly happy to see my dog Chip. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Dr Tesar and Dr Dilday are terrific. I HAVE ONLY HAD GREAT SERVICES AND FRIENDLY PEOPLE TO WORK WITH ME WHEN I BRING MY PET TO THIS CLINIC. DR. TESAR HAS DONE GREAT WORK WITH MY PET AND ALWAYS SHOWES HE CARES. MY DOG HAD A TPLO DONE BY HIM AND CAME OUT OF SURGERY LIKE A NEW DOG ONCE THE KNEE WAS HEALED UP. IF MY DOG EVER NEEDED THE OTHER KNEE DONE HE WOULD BE THE ONLY ONE TO DO IT. My cats have been patients of Dr Tesser for over 4 years and I have been very pleased with his animal practice. He takes the time to uncover the symptoms and seems to do what it takes to help the animal. He correctly diagnosed and treated my cat for an illness which was not detected by another Vet. His practice is clean and the staff helpful. He seems to be very up to date on current medical procedures - I wouldn't hesitate to have him treat my kids! Plus, he is a funny guy and brightens my day when we visit. Pros: Clean, attentive staff, able to heal and fix the problem.
