I took my dog in recently and was horrified by the visit. My dog is very old, and was dying. She was not eating, was in pain, and it was obvious something was wrong. I wanted to know if there was anything to be done that would give her more time, but without any pain. The Doctor was very dodgy with me, and I had to ask over and over whether different things she was suggesting would actually give my dog any more good life to live. Every time, she told me it would make very little difference. This is even though I specifically told her I didn't want my dog to have to go throught tests if it wasn't going to do any good.\r

Then she told me all the way at the end of the visit, after having stated that there was nothing it could be except cancer, or liver and kidney issues, she suddenly tells me it could be thyroid problems (which my dog could have at least been treated for). I was shocked that the Doctor waited all the way until the end of the visit to tell me this. I think she realized I was not going to put my pup through all sorts of tests, and decided to come up with something expensive to do. I then told her to do a test to rule out thyroid issues. I went home, and as soon as I started to do some research about thyroid problems I realized not a single warning sign fit what was happening with my dog.\r

Either the vet was totally incompetant, or she just wanted to squeeze some more cash out of my. Either way, there's no way I will ever take my animals back to Animal Medical Clinic.\r
\r
Aside from what I'd consider to be occasionally rude and incompetant Doctors, they are NOT CHEAP!\r

And before you use Dr. Tesar, do some research. Any clinic that employs that kind of vet shouldn't be trusted.
