Please be wary of AMC, for your pets sake. There are reasons why the turnover rate for both employees and doctors are extremely high.
***BE CAREFUL OF DR TESAR! It is time for him to retire. He does not conduct thorough exams (eyes, nose, ears, heart, respiratory) . This causes a lot of important (life altering) details with your pet to slip through the cracks. He is a nice, charismatic man, but he would rather talk to you then deal with your pet.
NEVER LET RANDY TESAR OPERATE ON YOUR PET! He has the highest rate of failure in surgeries I have ever seen/heard of. He uses expired drugs and materials, doesn't measure out accurate dosages of medications, and doesn't perform his most basic surgeries correctly (the list goes on and on). The fact is that you might take your pet in for a routine spay/neuter and they may die from complications. This is not OK in the veterinary world- most veterinarians have NEVER lost an animal to a spay or neuter. In my time there, I have lost count of the unnecessary deaths from the ""treatment"" of Dr Tesar.
Randy Tesar is the sloppiest practitioner I have ever seen, for people or animal medicine.
Every one of his ex-employees and doctors can and will happily tell you the same things. The horror stories are sickening. The reputation of his clinic throughout the Veterinary world is awful. Every one has a story about Randy Tesar butchering one thing or another. He is known in the northwest as a ""hack"".
If you have taken your pet to him and are having issues, be sure to get records immediately as he has been known to alter medical record, to cover his errors. It is illegal for the staff to keep them from you. He is a pro at being sued, he knows how to cover his ass. ***
Dr Mento is a fairly new Doctor there. She, on the other hand, is fabulous. She is thorough, and cares for your pet as if it were her own. The extreme opposite between the two is unexplainable. I don't know why she stays there, watching the needless slaughter by doctor Randy Tesar. I imagine she will soon join every other ex-employee who is disgruntled and simply can not take any more of his devastating practices.
Take it from someone who KNOWS, do not let Randy Tesar ""DVM"" put a hand on your pet.
