Authentically horrible 1/11/2008

After finding what I thought was the perfect place to spend a romantic anniversary with my boyfriend reservations were made. Boy was I wrong about this place. When we arrived they had no idea that we had reservations and sat us in a crowded corner where they forgot about us for quite some time. How they forgot about us I don't know since we were seated next to a 3 year old who banged his plates with silverware, screamed at the top of his lungs, and ran all over the place. After our disappointing and pricey appetizers we decided to get the rest to go so we might get a chance to enjoy our special night. Wrong again. The food ( which was on my lap) leaked on the way home. When we opened the containers the serving sizes were ridiculously small. Back to Andiamo's we went to return the food. Finally, after arguing and insulting my boyfriend they gave us our money back. The night which were suppose to be romantic was ruined. Thank you Andiamo. Pros: there aren't any Cons: everything more

The next best thing to frozen Italian food!!!! 1/9/2008

From the moment we walked in the cook was shoving food down his mouth behind the food line. The wine was way overpriced, the service was average and are server had his shirt unbuttoned half way down exposing his hairy chest. The calamari was very fishy and it was like chewing a rubber band. When we received are 17$ ravioli I counted 8 pieces of pasta and they where very small. The food overall was not something I would care to consume again. I will never return !!!!!!!! Pros: the ambience was very nice Cons: the food and the kitchen staff more

Decent food, HORRID service on a Saturday night with reservations! 12/29/2007

I did a TON of research to choose my husband's birthday dinner reservation and after speaking to friends and reading the reviews on CS - we chose Andaimo. I was nervous because when I made my reservation, the person who answered the phone could barely speak a lick of English and kept asking me the same questions over and over. What should have taken 5 minutes to make a reservation took 15 because of the ineptitude of the host.\r I was assured by friends that their experience was excellent. \r Arriving on time for our reservation we walked in and stood there while employees stared at us for a few monents and said nothing. I informed them kindly that we had a reservation and the woman literally grunted at us and started walking away. She walked to a table (very small restaurant) and pointed at it and said ""Here"" to us as if to call us like animals. \r We sat for over 20 minutes without water, bread or a server. When someone finally came - he had NO idea about anything on the menu, the bar, or the specials. \r Long story short (if this is considered short! HA!), the food was hot, it tasted okay - nothing spectacular - , and the service was horrid. I won't be returning ever. \r Not an expensive place but definitely not worth it! Pros: Free Parking, Decent Food, Nice Ambiance, Extensive Wine List Cons: HORRID Service, Inept Staff, Chilly Temp. Inside, Mostly Seafood more

YUM YUM 12/22/2007

I had the Tagliatelle and it was SSSOOOO good. My fiance had the Carbonara, also good. We have been trying to find an Italian restaurant that is some where in the vicinity as good as Steps of Rome (in San Francisco). This one comes closest. \r \r The staff were very nice and accomodating. The only thing weird was that when we called to make a reservation they said they were booked until 8:30, but said to come early or call and they would let us know if it dies down. We had stuff to do, so by the time we got there it was 8:30. There were six tables occupied, two of which were just getting ready to leave as we sat down.\r \r Prices are some what high: $15-$22 per pasta plate. But the taste makes it all worth it. more

Too pricey 12/18/2007

The food for this place was alright, nothing to go wow over. It was overpriced so i don't understand why citysearch rated this place with $ when it should be $$$. Average prices on dishes are around $20. They charge extra to add meat or shrimp. Less if you just have pasta but thats boring. There isnt a large selection of dishes to choose from either. My friend did like the lasagna dish though. It's just to expensive for my taste. I rather go eat sushi for the amount i paid here. more

A must ANY night of the week! 10/27/2007

Well, let me start off by saying that I have been coming to this restaurant for a few years now and have ALWAYS enjoyed my experience here. I love the food and wine selection and have NEVER tried something I didn't completely fall in love with. Not to mention, the service there is almost as if I were dining with family. I most often than not, show up by myself, but never feel alone. Nancy ( My 'usual' server) and Reyes (The owner) are very polite and VERY funny! They will answer any questions and concerns you may have and are very helpful when you're trying to figure out something new to try. They really cater to your needs. I would recommend coming here ANY night of the week. If you're looking for a great meal or a fabulous wine selection. This place is a MUST! Pros: Ambience, service more

I Heart Hearty Italian Food with a Great atmosphere 10/17/2007

I have been to Italy 3 times in my life now and done it all from italian school cafeteria food to 7 course meals to quick tratorria style eating. I really enjoyed this place and got wonderful service with our group of 10 people that I normally would not expect. I had the SALTIMBOCCA: Scalloppini with prosciutto and sage in a Marsala cream sauce (yah I just looked at the menu to remember it, don't hate). It was ridiculously good. Definitely a place to try out. Pros: Service, food, easy parking Cons: I don't live on the east side anymore more

Completely ignored 9/25/2007

I decided to try out a new Italian restaraunt with my girlfriend last night. After careful consideration, we decided to try Andiamo's out since it was close to home. We walked in the door and proceeded to wait to be seated. And continued to wait. And wait. Within five minutes of arriving, four different staff members had looked at us and then walked away multiple times, without ever having even acknowledging our existence. A simple ""Hi, I'll be right with you"" would have sufficed to make us feel like we were welcome in this restaraunt, but we didn't get even that. I even watched one of them walk up, stare at us for a while, and then turn around and stare at the wines scratching her head. \r \r We decided that if they couldn't even treat us like paying customers, then they didn't deserve having us as customers. I don't appreciate being ignored by people in a service position. We left, and will never be back. Pros: N/A Cons: Parking, poor service more

Great location, atmosphere, and quality 8/23/2007

Ive been to Andiamo several times and have been completely satisfied every time. I found Andiamo during the power outage last year when hardly anyone in Bellevue was even open. The wait staff were very accommodating and considering the intensity of dozens of very hungry people, they were very friendly and upbeat. Nancy is usually my server and is sweet and fun and makes us feel welcome and like family. The own er is usually there and offers a warm, personal greeting as if you were old friends. The kitchen and wait staff seem as if they have a lot of fun working together. They have a very reasonably priced and beautiful variety of Italian wines not to mention my 2 favorite Amorones which are hard to come by in most restaurants. My favorite dish is the wild mushroon ravioli as well as linguini pescatori which is absolutely huge. Dont pass this one up. The food and hospitallity is to die for. Pros: food, service, and location Cons: not one more
