Solar - the way of the future 1/9/2012

I had windows installed on our home back in November and also started the solar project at the same time. We just turned our system on and it didn't cost us anything out of pocket. These guys at American Vision Solar really took the care and gave the workman ship we wanted. What a great all around company. more

outsatanding service 1/9/2012

My name is Mary Avila, not too long ago I went through a very unpleasant experience of vandalism in my house while we were away. Super excited about our Solar!!! : D 1/9/2012

To be honest, Solar was not my top priority – I wanted a new kitchen (for crying out loud)! But my “practical” husband opted for Solar instead. He said it would save us money, big time and ultimately pay for itself. Brad Hopper, from American Vision Solar came to our home and laid out the options: leasing, versus purchasing the system outright. Although their leasing program offered a nice discount from our monthly electric bill, our goal was to eliminate the bill all together. So we opted to purchase our solar panels out right. When our first electric bill came we could not believe our eyes – our electric bill went from over $300 bucks (before Solar) to $3 dollars (with Solar)! THREE dollars! Amazing! With all the money we’re saving on our energy bill, we finally can afford to get a new kitchen! Woo Hoo! Yes, indeed we are very happy with American Vision Solar! more

Easiest home improvement decision we ever made! 1/9/2012

AVW made our home improvement project painless! We have over 31 windows in our home and we desperately needed to upgrade them. One of our challenges was that we wanted white on the inside, but tan color on the outside. We didn’t want to compromise on the aesthetics of our home’s interior or exterior. Fortunately for us, AVW sent out their top window consultant and project manager, Brad Hopper. His expertise and sense of style was extraordinary! He suggested modified designs that actually made a lot more sense for our home – both in function and design. The installation crew was another pleasant experience. They were so efficient and clean – I had no idea construction could be done so neatly! They hauled all the old windows and debris so our home looked like a million bucks when they were done. The experience was amazing and we are so happy with our new Great Lake windows and doors! more

Loving my windows! 1/5/2012

I had American Vision Windows install 3 large windows with v groove inside my house to cover up openings from my upstairs loft looking downstairs in 2003.I was very thrilled with the end results. I ordered the windows and they were delivered and installed within a timely matter. I've had multiple compliments on the finish and have referred many of our family and friends. AVW is very professional and would do business with them anytime!!! more

Love my windows! 1/5/2012

Excellent Customer Service 1/4/2012

We purchased our windows over 10 years ago with American Vision and product is still in great standing, customer service is exceptional from point of sales to installation and have referred our 4 children and some neighbors to purchase from them with no regret. Thank you American Vision for making my home still feel like new and most of all for excelling the customer service to all my referrals! There's more to come... more

A great experience 11/8/2011

After years of hating our old leaky windows we finally got them replaced by American Vision. The whole house including the extra wide sliding doors. Everything about the experience was top notch! From the demonstration/estimate through the install - a great experience. The house is snug, quiet and warm. more

American Vision Rocks! 11/3/2011

I couldn't be happier with the windows I purchased from American Vision Windows. They truly helped to make our home energy efficient and yes, you can see how beautiful the windows are and how it improves the look of your home, but you can also FEEL the difference right away because it keeps the hot out in summer and the cold out in winter! The salesman we worked with was great and the people that came to install were polite and knowledgeable. I have recommended them to friends and every one that has used them have had a similar experience. This is a great company! more

American Vision is the best! 11/2/2011

American Vision replaced all the windows and sliding doors in our house, and also installed a new front door. We couldn?t be happier with the service, price, etc. From the person who came out to give us an estimate to the crew that installed the windows, everyone was incredibly professional, kind and helpful. A few years after the installation our dog tore the screen of our slider and American Vision even helped us to take care it ? no problem. There aren?t many companies that treat you like a valued customer long after you?ve purchased the product. more

Don't use American Vision Windows 10/4/2011

American Vision Windows is the worst company I have ever dealt with.\r \r I had just bought a house and was moving in a month later. The house needed all new windows and doors, plus window treatments (there were none on any window). I went with American Vision Windows because I fell for their radio ads, thought they were a good family-run company and would give great customer services. Boy was I wrong!\r \r Why not to use American Vision Windows.\r \r 1. Bad mouthed all my neighbors new windows and said they'd never sell me an inferior product (Milgard Windows), however AVW sells any brand of window (including Milgard) and they are a middle man, not a manufacturer. (AVW marks up the window, and then the Sales Rep marks it up again to make his profit. Skip this and go directly to a manufacturer like Milgard).\r 2. The sales man lied to me and said he was the Vice President of the company and was giving me employee discounts. Not true.\r 3. Gave me a turn around for the windows and window trea more

Frustrated, angry, buyers 6/1/2011

Very poor customers service, except for Stephanie. Lisa is probably family to Bill and Kathleen, because she does whatever she wants. She receives the faxed in paperwork, ie HOA approval papers, etc. We asked if she would notify us when she received our papers. She told us that her phone fax machine was having problems. On our fourth phone call asking if they received the fax (because they never received it) Stephanie asked, why are you calling for Lisa? We explained, and Stephanie says, "I'll call you when we get the fax. Stephanie gives us the good news. 2 days later, they call and claim they never got the HOA approval. In the middle of my rant, they say oh here it is forget this call. The installer came out on time measured and took the required 50% of the total amount. Thurs. AM I get a call from Oscar the supervisor who schedules the install he asks for Tues 5-31-11, I say okay. My wife cannot take off, nor can I, so Friday we called to reschedule. Great Company & Great Service 4/20/2011

I recently had American Vision Windows come to my home to provide me with an estimate to replace my windows. The sales person, Curtis, was on time, dressed professionally and very informative. We decided to order our windows from American Vision Windows. The installation day came and the crew showed up on time and took great care to keep my home and belongings clean and safe. The installation took several hours but the results are beautiful! I went with Anlin windows and would whole heartily recommend American Vision Windows. more

Beautiful job, Terrible customer service 3/24/2011

Ok, this is the scoop with American Vision. They send a highly trained professional salesman RIGHT AWAY to get the deal. They also send in immediately the guy that measures, as he is the one that collects the MULa for half the cost you have to pay in advance!!\r \r Now, good luck getting the follow up, or call backs with regards to scheduling the job. They would not get back to us UNTIL my lawyer husband called them. Suddenly, they call, friendly as can be and the schedule is set. For a while there I have to admit I was worried they took my money and ran off.\r \r As for the job, they replaced a sliding door to our back yard. This I will admit, the fellows, Alex and Jose were professional and polite and did not only a beautiful job, but a very clean job. Unlike the prior reviewer that said she had nails all over the place. We also have 3 kids, a dog, and a cat. I did not have to say a word about it. Concerns with windows 12/21/2010

The original contact was good however there was a small problem when the windows were installed, a difference between what we ordered and what we received. I wasn't concerned, figured it could be dealt with by the salesman. It seems no one responded to the concerns I described when I signed the final paperwork, calls and emails to the salesman and customer service were not returned and yes, I am a slow learner, American Vision Windows commitment to customer service only lasts until they have your money. more

We purchased our windows and a French door from American Vision Windows. From the salesperson to the installation, we were very satisfied and pleased with everyone from their company. The windows and door make an unbelievable difference in keeping out heat, sound insulation, not to mention the beauty it added to our home. I would recommend American Vision WIndows to anyone. more

Window and Door Replacement 5/28/2010

Moving into a condo that was built in 1984, and right next to the freeway, it was pretty clear we would need to replace our windows and doors. After much shopping around (Lowe's, Home Depot, etc), we came to American Vision Windows. I had heard the story of Bill & Kathleen on the radio but was still skeptical of how the expierience might be. From initial contact with sales to installation, I was extremely pleased with the professesionalism and courteousness of every staff member that I had contact with. In a few short weeks, our condo was transformed into a home that we love. Very close to excellent! 5/11/2010

I got a great deal from AVW, I was originally quoted close to $40,000.00-we have lots of circles, half circles, 1 slider and over 30 other windows. AVW quoted us $17,000.00. SOLD! I am not completely satisfied with them though, the installers did a shotty job with the trim work. They removed the nails from our old windows and left them all over the place and with 2 dogs and 2 kids under 6 years old that was a very dangerous thing to do. They also got some black spots on my carpet and some walls and window sills. Overall I am happy with them, they are gorgeous, keep sound out and cool air in but the installation should have been better. more
