American Vision Windows

We recently contracted with American Vision Windows to replace all my windows and doors, including a new addition. I opted for the Anlin Windows in the Queen Anne design with all the window features. Don Adams and the AVW staff felt like family, everyone I dealt with including the very capable installation crew, were eager to address my questions & concerns and make my experience as smooth as possible. I've recommended AVW to all of my family and friends, and they have experienced the same personalized experience. As for our new windows and doors, Wow! they exceed all of our expectations, our heating/cooling bills have been drastically reduced, and they are a breeze to maintain. Before you buy any window or door upgrades, give Don at AVW a chance to show you their wonderful products and great deals. They are honest, honorable, and their to back-up their products and workmanship. more

In 'contractor country' there's often a big gap between promise and execution of a job.\r American Vision Windows is different. They actually care to give the best experience throughout. From meeting the sales person, the measuring, all the way through the follow up after installation--everything went like a breeze.\r I found American Vision Windows through a referral from friends, and can honestly say that we're very pleased with everything.\r Now of course we want to replace the other windows also. more

To say that our experience with American Vision Windows was five star would be an understatement. Every person representing AVW, from Steve (sales rep) to Mike (the person who measured our windows) to the installers was extremely professional and courteous. AVW estimated two days for the installation of our Anlin windows and that's all it took!! We can't say enough about the installers, though. They knew what to do and did it with precision, neatness (that made my wife very happy), and when each window was installed, they cleaned up after themselves. We couldn't have asked for a nicer crew of men. The windows have improved the look of our house and the temperature regulation, not to mention the lack of noise from outside. WOW!!! What I difference. I am very, very please with my new windows... The installation was pain free. The crew was very helpful, especially Alex & Neilsen. They took charge and handled everything in my home, cover furniture and old window holes, so that the cleanup was very easy. I now can open my windows and let the outside environment in. This has made such a big difference in the quality of my life. First, let me say this would be a 5 star review, but I really have nothing to compare it to, so.. 4 star. I still think this place is great for what I experienced!\r \r After hearing the commercial on KFI for the umptenth time, I finally decided ""Why not!?"" and gave American Vision Windows a call and left a message on their voicemail. I got a phone call the same day on when they could send someone over for an estimate.\r \r Cybil came by on-time by my standards when estimating LA traffic and even had this pretty nice demonstration unit. I found her to be non-pushy and I liked what she had to say and the pricing just seemed right for what I was getting. After about an hour of chatting and seeing how the Anlin windows operated and looked, we shook hands and I made out a small deposit check.\r \r It might've been about 2 weeks (?) and someone came out to do the official measurements. I wasn't home, but my husband was and he found them to be professional and quick. Wrote the 2nd check to get the windows ordered.\r \r I'd guess about 4 weeks later I got a phone call asking me if they could come and install all the windows the NEXT DAY. I was pretty surprised at that! I took it, and everyone showed up on time and finished in one day (I only had 4 windows + 1 slider).\r \r The reason I waited so long to write this review was because during the install, the installers noticed a small defect in one of the windows, and I was waiting to see how that replacement went before I got in on a final review. Well, I can tell you that the installers put in the order for a new window, and about 2 weeks after that, Lucas came in and replaced the window by himself in about 5 minutes!\r \r Now, about the windows. I love them. I live along a road that has a 24 hour bus running all night/day long (24 hours duh!), and the newly found silence is something I had no real idea I was missing. It is truly something that amazes me every day and every weekend when I wake up to silence! 6 years with all that noise, now I'm getting used to it being quiet.\r \r I had a faulty installed sliding glass door, and this new door is just fantastic. It slides with the push of a finger, oh and the installers put this nice trim up around the siding, something I was not expecting and it looked great. No more drafts. The bedrooms stay much cooler after the AC has been on. My only complaint is that it keeps the heat from my shower in the bedroom too! But, that is only good news when it comes to the winter time.\r \r Long enough review really. TL;DR version is that I recommend going with this place if you just want to get some great windows and not have to worry or hassle when things go wrong. You shake hands, you pay, you wait a few weeks, you get fancy new windows that block sound and retain cool and heat. 'Nuff said! more

I had 19 windows installed on 7-7-2012. The windows are GREAT! I had louver windows in kitchen and living room, if you know what those are, that were installed back in the 60's. I loved everything about those louver windows except the cold of winter poured through them and anyone could jimmy them open. I had gotten a quote from an Arizona company, boy, what a run around and not organized at all!! Don from American Vision Windows came out one day for the quote and sold me on some great windows. I did not want the white windows, I wanted the beige color and they could order them for me. My neighbor just had new windows installed last year, her window's are not the quality or was there the attention to details of instillation that mine were and she paid quite a bit more. The installers from AVW were professional, personable, efficient, friendly, on time and hard working. There were a couple pieces of furniture that I could not move myself and they took care of it for me. I also have 5 CHICKENS running around the back and side of the house that Cesar and the others scooted around with ease! Ryan and his crew said I was on the top of the list of customers because I bought them pizza and ice cream! They definitively earned it, 19 windows in 6 hours. I am very pleased with the company and I am going to have my texture coating done by them. I can't say enough about the company, thanks Mark and Brian 95.5 for the commercial. If you are looking for a fair price and great quality and installation call AVW! I am a very happy customer. THANKS GUYS! more

After hearing about this company for years on KFI radio in Los Angeles, I decided to give them a try. Our home is a classic colonial built in 1957 with over 40 large single-hung windows, all of them with multiple individual panes of glass and glazing. After trying to re glaze a few of them due to wear and tear and sun damage, I knew I could not possibly keep up with the amount of windows and panels I would need to do (about 350 of them). Reluctantly we decided to replace the original windows and called AVW in Simi Valley. Dean, our project manager, was great, very patient and knew his product. Yes, he recommended some windows over others that they carried, but anyone who thinks this is wrong is plain uninformed. How would you like to buy the wrong window just because it was less expensive than the right window for your home and area? I know I can spend less, that's not brain surgery. I needed Dean to explain to me why I will not be happy purchasing window A vs. window B. I want to never have to call him back and say, ""I hate these windows, the noise reduction is not what I thought it would be, and they seem kinda cheap"". Its his job to get me into the right window for my area, tastes, requirements and budget. After all, I set my budget, NOT Dean. Our home is a Leave it to Beaver-type home, so we were not going to just buy the low-end window and hope it works out. Dean explained the differences in price, durability, ratings, noise reduction, and honestly compared all brands that they had to offer. I can buy a $200.00 window on my own, I don't need a window company for that. If someone thinks this is bad hype, then they may as well go to Home Depot or Lowe's for their windows. It was OUR decision to go with Anlin, NOT theirs. All we asked for are honest comparisons and we got that from Dean. And the installation crew was fantastic! Very professional and extremely competent. They cleaned up as if they were never even there. They were done way faster than I thought they would be and the new windows look great. One issue that did come up was the grid pattern on two windows were incorrect. The single grid should have been vertical and it came horizontal. I mentioned it to the installer (after he installed it...my mistake for not catching it) and he looked at it and agreed, yes, it would look much better your way. No problem we can fix it, would I like to not pay for it until its taken care of? I said not a problem, I trust you guys. When I called Dean to let him know I told him this: ""Dean, when Mike came to measure the windows he specified the grid direction incorrectly because he labeled it 1x2 instead of 2x1...or whatever. I don't want to have to pay any service charge because the error was yours""..his immediate response was ""Oh no, I don't care who messed up, you or us, it doesn't matter, we will replace those windows no charge"". To me, making mistakes is not the problem but its how you fix the problem that matters. I am planning to complete the rest of the home as soon as we can, and I will call on AVW again. Plus I have already recommended them to friends as well. Everyone at the Simi Valley office has been great. Great company, believe the hype! By the way, if you don't sit for AT LEAST an hour learning about your different options during the presentation, you WON'T make an informed decision. I sat with Dean for close to two hours, and it was time well-spent. more

This is my second experience with American Vision Windows. My first experience was years ago when they installed my Anlin windows. The entire process from showroom to install was first rate. Years later we are now ready to buy double front entry doors. Although they have moved locations I am pleased to say the staff and service to date remains superior. I was beyond excited to find out they also carry entry doors. My new project manager Cybill Pereau has been extremely attentive, helpful and even more knowledgeable than I could have hoped. I gave her my price range and she was able to bring us in on target with a beautiful set of doors. Additionally, I had some unexpected breakage of one of my windows and she informed me that it was covered under a lifetime warranty. Music to my ears. I have lived with and without Anlin products, so here is my advice don't waste your money on any other window or company. Go through American Vision and invest in Anlin products the staff are helpful and knowledgeable and extremely professional. American Vision lives up to there image of customer service and unsurpassed quality. I am a very pleased repeat customer! more

We had replacement windows and doors installed and we are very satisfied. The windows and doors are of very good quality and is keeping the house cooler during these hot days. Don our salesman was very polite, informative and straight forward. The installation team was also very polite and did an excellent job installing the windows and doors. I had my new Amylin windows installed 2 weeks ago. American Vision Windows did a fantastic job! I love them! There is a remarkable difference in the west facing windows where the sun ""baked"" in every night....until now. I don't think I'll need my AC much this summer! I installed 18 windows and 1 sliding glass door. The sales rep Sydney was fantastic, the measuring rep & install group were very professional. They were in and out, clean & quiet. I highly recommend American Vision Windows. more

I just put in all new windows in a condo. The process was painless and American Vision Windows was very accommodating to my schedule. The sales person was excellent. She was not one of those aggressive pushy salespeople. She was helpful and thoroughly explained my options. I was a little skeptical when she told me installation would be quick and easy, but it was. They showed up on time and within a few hours I had 9 new windows installed and there was no mess. The workers cleaned up after themselves and also put up temporary blinds. I was completely happy with American Vision Windows. more

My wife and I made the normal calls when doing a large house project: Home Depot, Ads we've seen in the newspapers, Yelp suggestions, and American Vision Windows whose ad we have heard on the radio. We were most impressed with the AVW presentation and their thoughtfulness and concern for us as customers. We paid a little bit more than we would have at Home Depot, but we definitely got better windows and much nicer frames, better customer service, more options, and more attentive service. Don Adams, Tim Thelan, Oscar, Mark, and everyone else involved were great to work with. We are very happy with our windows, they look great, and we plan on enjoying them for a long time to come. I couldn't recommend them more (and I already have to my neighbors). more

I usually dread hiring out home improvement projects because of past experiences, but American Vision was great! Brad helped us choose our Anlin windows and he literally knew his windows inside and out. Everyone who came through our door from AW was friendly, polite, and efficient. The installers stayed on schedule and everything went so smoothly. We only replaced five windows and I already notice a HUGE difference in this 90 degree weather, our house has stayed cool and I have not had to run the air. I cannot wait to do the rest of our windows! more

Best company ever! They were on time for our first appointment for my quote. They worked with me on my budget. They explained, in detail, exactly what we were getting. Once we ordered the windows, their time line for installation was exact. All of the workmen introduced themselves to me, were immaculate while working, polite and hard working. They finished the job ON TIME and when they left my house, you would never know they were even there, except that we have BEAUTIFUL, QUALITY windows that live up to their reputation!!!! This was our first experience dealing with a window contractor and we just got lucky right from the start. Don’t get me wrong, our Anlin windows are great but it’s the service we would come back for. From the day that Don Adams came out and measured our window openings to the day of installation, we have been very satisfied with the entire AVW team. We have been treated like part of their family from the very beginning. We did recently have to return one of our Duette Window shades for repair (under warranty) and again Tracy Brough with AVW took care of us, making sure we were completely satisfied. We would definitely recommend them. They work hard to get your business and even harder to keep it. more
