Referred by a friend, I was a little apprehensive about hiring movers for the first time. Their online ratings were helpful in pushing me over the edge, and in the end I can't imagine ever making a move without a company as efficient and professional as these guys. No doubt American Choice Van Lines was exactly the company I was looking out for. The woman on the phone Crystal, I believe was very helpful, informative, knew what she was talking about, and got me a move date and estimate that was accurate and itemized. It was a pleasure. She sent out an information packet as promised and had been clear on all the steps and responsibilities. She also agreed to provide me with an all inclusive price which would not increase and had no hidden charges. When the movers arrived (I'll have to look up their names) on July 4th, they started immediately and had me moved from to Florida in less than 8 hours. I still have not found anything damaged and they even helped me move a few larger pieces of furniture out to the curb for pickup. It was a very positive experience which left me elated. This might be my first 5-star review. I would like to also thank you and the boys who came bye for all the effort and hard work they put in and made this shift a very please memory. Wow, really really happy with my move – American Choice Van Lines team was fantastic! This was my very first move and it couldn't have gone any smoother. I called in to request a move 5 days advance notice and Crystal was able to accommodate me. She explained the move process and pricing. I received a courtesy phone call one day before the move to clear up any lingering questions and confirm the date. The day of, the team arrived and was very quick and efficient to pack up all of my belongings into the truck (wrapped the TV, mattress, dressers) and delivered them without any scratches or hiccups. Well one more thing is that the packing material and techniques used by American Choice Van Lines was absolutely the best. The vulnerable and fragile items were bubble wrapped and placed in very strong cartons to prevent it from snapping. The electronics were neatly placed over the bed and were enclosed on all four sides to insure it would not toss during the journey. The final bill came out to be exactly the same as the estimate. Ultimately, ACVL were able to take the stress out of moving and I would highly recommend them! The service I recently received from American Choice Van Lines moving company, on a move from Buffalo to Florida was exceptional- the best I've ever received on my various moves around the country. Gordon, my driver/supervisor, arrived punctually with his team. He made sure that each piece of family furniture was meticulously wrapped and carefully carted onto the truck. His two assistants were well-trained, polite, and hard-working. The packers took exceptional care of the glass mugs and a few family paintings. The mugs were bubble wrapped and tucked into boxes full of shredded paper and the paintings were foiled wrapped in clear foil and placed as per their size in boxes just meant for them. The team took apart, and wrapped in pads, furniture that previous movers had simply loaded, unwrapped, into the truck. Despite sweltering summer conditions, this team worked conscientiously and cheerfully until the job was complete. \r Gordon and his fellow staff members simply took more care of my stuff than any other movers had in the past. He was wholly committed to my satisfaction. Well looking at them sweat it out I decided to tip them at the end of the day, but they simply refused stating it was against the company’s business practices. The move ended up taking longer than I expected(I guess there was a lot of stuff)but it didn't matter cause I had set no time limit, neither was I paying by the hours, we were on a fixed price agreement for our move. I in fact wanted the packers to do the job carefully rather than in a hurry which could cause unnecessary damage, which is avoidable. Gordon and his team were awesome, had great attitudes during the move (I had a LOT of heavy furniture). Some things were hard to manoeuvre and fit through the doorways, but they had a solution for everything, and I could see them sweating like crazy moving everything up a flight of stairs to my third floor apartment. I have read many reviews of satisfied customers of American Choice Van Lines and their services give me the confidence to tell you that they all seem very correct and true and I would just be leaving one more review to inform you of this great work. This company was practically a dream to work with. From the moment the movers showed up until they left, I couldn't have asked for any better. Polite, effective and efficient. These are not the guys who waste time to make more money. Took such great care with all my furniture and belongings and the only thing that was broken in my move was my own fault because I didn't properly package a fragile item. The only complaint I would have is that I wish there was some sort of confirmation service from the company. Scheduling is generally done through e-mail and a phone call was not returned. I worried that they wouldn't show up. I wish I had gotten a phone call the day prior to the move to confirm the date and time, just to put me at ease. The company however has some great after services, they called me once the work was done to insure there was no damage and I was satisfied with the way the packers and movers had done my work. I was beyond words after my experience. I even offered them a decent tip but the packers just refused stating “It was against company policies”. I however bought them some snacks to fuel up after the hard work they put in, they deserved every bit of it. I would like to share my moving experience of moving to LA with the help of American Choice Van Lines. I had a fantastic group of 3 men help me with my move. The requirement of the move was to pack a three bed and to reassemble the same in our newly purchased property. Now, my philosophy on moving is to be absolutely and completely prepared days before the movers show up, so all my stuff was packed, piled, and ready to go. Well all the stuff was sorted as to make the packing planned. The movers had to simply just box them and they did their job to perfection. I also move with the movers, and find that if I'm moving fast, they are, too. With the guys from American Choice Van Lines, I never worried about wasted time. These guys were flying! My entire move, from beginning to end, was only and hour and a half. It was amazing! And they were all very nice, polite, and very professional. I've moved 3 times and this was by far the most pleasant and efficient moving experience I've ever had. In previous shifts I have experienced lots of damage but in this one there I was so calm and cool and this was just looking at the way they were managing the work. The furniture was very valuable and heavy it included 3 double beds and a furniture set including a dining table and a sofa set. My friend has moved every few years, so he is experienced with movers and she was the one who recommended me to choose American Choice Van Lines to do the job. He said they were on time and that they were hustling to get the job done at the earliest. He saw that they were very thorough and that they knew what they were doing from the very beginning. This is exactly what I have to about them looking at the way they went about unloading the furniture at my place. My situation was unique in that I was in the middle of constructing a new home and was ONLY allowed to move my entire 2 bedroom apartment into my small 1 car garage, well you can imagine the pain. The packing crew headed by Gorgon came out and did an exceptional job. Not only were they extra cautious with all my items, they were able to safely fit my entire apartment into the garage leaving pathways uncluttered. This needed to be done carefully as we wanted no complaints what so ever. I would also like to share some very important points which prove the companies efficiency. Firstly punctual came exactly within the specified time range for loading and got to California within promised delivery time frame. This was exceptional on the part of the company. Secondly handling delicate furniture was extremely important trait for movers. I have been moving for the past twenty years as a part of the job and I have never come across a company that has been so very professional in the shift. I used American Choice Van Lines on my most recent move from Las Vegas to Clifton City. The movers arrived on time; we're friendly and careful with my things. The price they quoted was the best ever anyone could expect for a move involving so much. I had a lot of stuff, All of my furniture was wrapped carefully the other things were carefully segregated and placed in some excellent quality boxes and nothing was broken or missing. The only problem I had was when I wanted to change the delivery address from my apartment to a storage unit as there was some renovation work going on. The person who came for the delivery wanted to charge me extra for the last minute change of address but when I called American Choice Van Lines on this issue and got the extra charge waved off. This went a long way towards making me think highly of the company and its work ethics. Another very important fact is that we agreed for the delivery to be transported in 3 days and that is exactly the time that American choice Van Lines took to execute this great move for me. Once again I would like to say at this price and quality the services just speak for them. I am so impressed with this company and I give you a word that if I ever have to shift in the future. These movers are real professionals and they proved that they can move anything. I was worried about my move but the movers showed the skills to overcome the odds and they delivered a very satisfactory move. They blanketed all my furniture to make sure it arrived without and scratches to the polish. All the fragile stuff and the glass ware was bubble wrapped and then placed in strong boxes. The boxes were also filled with shredded paper to further safen the goods. Finally the packers placed a fragile sticker on the box to make sure it would be placed in a corner of the truck which is lease prone to move. In fact most of this stuff was placed on the heave stuff and this was a very logical approach other than just dumping the goods any where in the van. Looking at their logic of packing I was sure that I was in safe hands. I once again say that this company was not the cheapest but I am an admirer of quality and I have no problem in paying for quality services. I came across this company while reading moving reviews. They had the most reviews and were the most highly rated. I am very pleased to endorse that assessment as my move with American Choice Van Lines is nothing less than A+ in terms of grading. From the quote through to the site visit and the actual move itself, they were all efficient, professional friendly and very understanding. Their quote was a quarter of the price of another quote we had received and the cheapest of all five quotes that I received in all. While this wasn’t the main factor, it certainly helped. Although money was not the only criteria we were looking for a quality move which insured out goods reached us on time and without any damage what so ever.
