Professional and excellent service 10/30/2015

Eric with AmeriSpec Inspection Services was pretty amazing. He walked me through each thing he was inspecting, and told me if it was compliant and if not, what I should do. He was on time and very professional. Also, he was very respectful of my time, and because of his efficient work we finished about 30 minutes earlier than expected. For the report, he provided me with a big binder that was very thorough. The priorities were in the front and everything else was behind it, which made things very easy for me. I was able to use the information he gave me to make the necessary changes, and I got the seller to pay for most of it. I didn't know what to expect, but I was blown away by his knowledge and he went beyond what I was hoping for. The cost was very much worth it, and I had a great experience. more

We had a standard home inspection from AmeriSpec Inspection Services. It also included inspection on the sprinkler system and for radon. When I called for the inspection, they were quick to respond and came over within three or four days. The workers were all very nice and professional! more

Biggest waste of money 6/24/2015

Could not have tested master shower as reported or the leak in basement would have been found. Turn offs for leaking kitchen faucet didn't turn off when we had to replace the leaking kitchen faucet that supposedly had already been worked on twice. Wonder how that was done since turn offs didn't work. Sprinkler system not tested, so broken valves and o-ring not discovered. Go figure!!!! Remind me what I paid for, oh yeah, to call and speak with the very rude so called inspector Mitch. more

Poor inspection 3/23/2015

The inspector missed a rocking/leaking toilet. and resultant rotted floor. After several discussions our inspection fee was rebated to us. The repair cost was several hundred dollars beyond the inspection fee. Now we find the inspector missed a deck support that is 75% off the support pier, a rotted patio door and a rotted window. Overall a poor inspection, which will result in several thousand dollars more out-of-pocket repair cost to us vs the seller! more

BUYER BEWARE!!! 3/6/2015

This company is terrible! Our inspector missed an obvious and VISIBLE hole in our siding which caused damage to the inside of our home. He also only inspected one of the three attics in our house. After confronted with the damage, Kevin the manager, assured us that they would cover the cost of repair and the inspector definitely should have caught the hole in the siding. We submitted a very honest and realistic bid and were told another contractor of their choice would be out to assess the situation. I have never received a copy of a bid from their contractor and was told by Kevin that this contractor was unreliable and would not submit a formal bid! After consulting with the owner of Amerispec, Kevin offered to refund the amount we paid for the inspection but nothing towards the damage to our dining room wall. It has now been 8 weeks and Kevin has stopped responding to our emails forcing us to hire an attorney. It is very sad that this company does not guarantee their work and in fact turn tail and run when a problem arises. Not good business at all! more

Professional and polite 2/27/2015

AmeriSpec Inspection Services was very professional and polite. They only took an hour for a whole house inspection, and they had some comments and suggestions. They went through everything, and they explained everything to us. We ended up getting the furnace replaced for forty dollars. It was a very good experience, and I would recommend them. more

Positive, Knowledgeable Guys 2/4/2015

We hired AmeriSpec Inspection Services to come and inspect the home we were buying and, overall, I was really happy with them. They caught things that we may have never noticed. The only thing that sort of irked me was that after we closed on the house and moved in, we noticed that dishwasher and refrigerator leak. I feel that these two things should have been picked up on by them. Other than that, the guy who helped us was really friendly and knowledgeable and the fees that were charged were really competitive. I would definitely recommend him (unfortunately, his name slips my mind) as he really knew what he was talking about--minus the fridge and dishwasher. more

First time I needed a home inspection, I was very concerned with how the process was going to work. AmeriSpec Inspection Services made me feel comfortable, and Theresa was very professional and helpful. The inspection worker offered me to walk around with him; he made me feel comfortable and confident. He addressed everything that could have been an issue with the new house I was trying to purchase. more

Great, Easy, and Perfect Place To Go! 1/28/2015

I hired AmeriSpec Inspection Services when I purchased my second home and needed it to be looked at. Overall, it was a really great experience. The guy came to my house when he said he would and even inspected the roof although it was snowing. He was quick in showing us what we needed and explained everything in a clear and concise manner. I really liked how he had an enthusiasm for his job; you could tell that he liked what he was doing and that he was willing to help you. I had used previous home inspections companies and felt like the workers didn't really care about anything. And, for AmeriSpec Inspection Services to have such low prices, that's a really awesome thing! I highly recommend them. more

I had been a realtor for 20 years, and AmeriSpec Inspection Services was the best inspection service I've used. Their staff was very helpful and communicative. I will use this service when my kids grow up and move to their own places. more

They knew what they were doing, and they provided in-depth explanations about everything. They were very professional about everything, and at the same time, friendly and nice to talk to. We bought a townhouse for our daughter. We had to have AmeriSpec Inspection Services come back twice, which was not their fault. The first time, the previous owner was not aware that the gas service had been turned off, so none of the appliances could be installed at first. They did a good job with the installation, however, and the prices were reasonable. more

Excellent customer service 8/25/2014

AmeriSpec Inspection services came and inspected our home. Kevin was very nice, personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. Any questions we asked, he answered in a professional manner. At the same time, he didn't use jargon to talk to us, and he spoke to us in terms we understood, but without making us feel stupid. He did a thorough job inspecting our home. He also gave us a nice presentation, with a whole binder of information on home inspections. We are first-time home buyers, so this was really helpful to us. more

He was friendly and very professional. The service took about three hours. He did a great job and came when he said he would. more

AmeriSpec Inspection Services is a great company. Eric recently came by and did a great job on a home inspection for one of my clients. He was prompt and knowledgeable and came up with a very complete report that listed everything we wanted to know. I can't think of anything that they could have done differently that would have been of any further benefit. more
