DON'T Take Your Pets Here! 7/19/2009

My cat suddenly was dragging his back legs. I immediately took him to All Pets. Dr. Sam seemed unsure of what was going on....thought it was neurological & gave me some pills to give my cat. Went home, my son did some internet research and found the matching symptoms to be heart related....Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. We took our cat to Animerge but sadly he died the next morning. Could our cat have been saved? Probably not. But if this had been a treatable condition, would Dr. Sam have made the correct diagnosis? Our cat's symptoms were easily found on the internet & were NOT neurological!!! I also agree with others that he doesn't pay the right amount of attention to your pet. During previous visits for routine check-ups, several times he had the vet tech fill in for him when he went to talk to workers doing remodeling of his clinic. He does have some high tech equipment. But......how many vets have large signs outside their building advertising that they do ultrasound??? more

This Man should be a pathologist not a veterinarian!!! 5/20/2009

Beware!!!! For any person that has animals you will see when you walk in you feel that it is just wrong. Its dirty and the staff talk about the so called dr behind his back.. but all the right comments. I heard that he had a degree hanging that was not even his. He uses unsafe measures and should have his business shut down for good. People like him should be in jail. Many people that I have spoken with have had animals die under his care. He usually sells all of the products that you can use for your pets life in one visit since he knows that it is likely that you will never return. Someone with some clout close this mans doors! more

BE AWARE of there substandard practices 5/19/2009

If you care about your pets wellfare you will not use this office .There licences should be revoked. Call the board of Veternarian in Trenton and see what they have to say. They only care about one thing, and thats your money . Its a real shame there still in business. There are alot of pets that suffer and die from there neglect. Do not have your pet treated there . more

FIND ANOTHER VET 5/12/2009

I brought my puppy in for the first time. And since this was my first dog I did not know what to look for or expect. This place was recommended by the store where we bought our puppy. I just was not happy with the Doctor at all he was very confusing to talk and he was not pet friendly at all. So I researched to find another vet not associated with the store we bought our pup from. Not until I had a vet to compare this one to could I really put a finger on what I did not like. Our new vet and all the staff was extremely loving, friendly, caring with our new pup and took the time to explain things to us. Also we found out the first vet gave out pup shots that were not at all necessary, (which is a common practice just to make a buck). This office was gentle and distracted the pup with a treat and she didn't' even flinch when the shots was given, in comparison with the other who just practically stabbed the pup with the needle and having her cry hysterically. Don't waste your time and mon more

DO NOT GO THERE! 4/17/2009

I am a member of a local dog rescue group. We started to take some of our dogs there because Dr Sam is said to co-operate with rescue groups and his priced were low. After the second or third dog we stopped due to the substandard level of care the dogs received. At the time we did not know this and only found out after one of the spayed females become very sick in her new home. Her new vet had to open her up and he was horrified at the botched spay done on her. The new vet said whoever had done her spay could not have been trained or licensed as a veterinarian in this country. She almost died but with good followup care from her new vet she recovered. If you value the health of your pet stay away from this guy. more

Dr. Sam- Bringing Love and Care to Veterinary Medicine 1/9/2009

I visited Dr. Sam after I had one of the most horrifying experiences at Branchburg Veterinary Hospital at this disgusting and rude practice. I was pleased to walk in to find a friendly (but short) receptionist (can't even find that at my own doctor!) who greeted me and had a genuine care for my animal. While I filled out my paperwork, one of the other technicians came and played with Hershey and even held him so it wasn't so hard for me to hold the pen. Hershey has a little excitement problem and peed on the floor- when this happened at Branchburg Animal Hospital they handed me a roll of paper towels (not even disinfectant spray), but at All Pets, the technician scrubbed the floor for me. \r \r I waited a minimal time to see the doctor, and when I walked into the room I was thrilled to see the technological advances the practice has made. As the doctor checked Hershey's ears (For the record, he looks through the instrument and the monitor) he did a very thorough job. He gave the shots th more

Dr. SAM is a wack-a do 9/2/2008

I got a puppy from a local pet store who had All Pets Vet Hospital in NJ on their list to get a free first visit. The pup needed its shots so I made an appointment and was supposed to get a free exam-free fecal exam- and free pack of deworming pills.\r \r I get to the vet and wait 30 min past my appointment, i was the only one in the waiting room and i was on a long break from work. As i am waiting Dr. Sam is walking back and forth straightening up and stopping to watch the tv that is on in the lobby. Finally He says...ok, i can take you...(i am in shock this this is the DR.)\r \r Already annoyed, I proceeded to ask him a few questions...he must be deaf, after my question instead of answering it he proceeded to talk to me about my job and what i do, and his brother and how rich his brother is. I have never had a dog before so i was curious about the mouting/biting and if the crying while in cage was normal. He never answered one question. \r \r i proceed to watch him carelessly check more

Thank you Dr. Sam!! 8/12/2008

We have two male Bengal cats. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the breed, they are a mix of Asian Leopard and domestic cat. The Bengal is bred for show and as pets. These cats are very talkative, doglike, love to be with people and are very adventurous. Which brings me to the reason I am writing this review. Our younger cat, Bulllit II, was behaving listlessly, not interested in eating and not able to speak. At first I thought he was just tired and needed to sleep. Later when his symptoms didn't improve I contacted All Pets Vet Hospital and Dr. Sam.\r Dr. Sam recognized immediately that the Bullit II was in distress and suggested he be put on an IV and have a few tests. We agreed and felt assured that Dr. Sam would provide the best possible care. Over the next few days Dr. Sam kept us fully informed of the cats condition and although Bullet II showed some signs of improvement, it was not significant enough for him to be sent home. During this time Dr. Sam followed up on a more

When my rat developed an abcess, I was at a loss as to where to go. My vet does not have the ability to care for rats, so I asked around & found that All Pets would see him. I made an appointment, brought him in, and was really quite quickly concerned. \r \r Anyone who owns a small pet knows that anesthesia can be very dangerous for them. When I first adopted TC, I looked into neutering him. All the research I did advised against it, simply because just going under the anesthesia can kill them. So when I brought 3 year old TC to All Pets, and they immediately said that they would need to do surgery, I was concerned. I asked about the risk of anesthesia, and the doctor said "you can pick him up at 5:00". I answered, "well, but couldn't he die?" and he again said "you can pick him up at 5:00." I didn't really see that as an answer to my question... I was left without much of a choice, and TC had the surgery. \r \r Luckilly, my little boy lived. However when I returned to All Pet more

Horrible Doctor! 10/26/2007

I have both worked for and had my animals treated by Dr. Sam. I found that Dr. Sam was a horrible veterinarian that values money and success more than veterinary care. Many times he would perform surgeries completely unsterilized (both instruments and he did not scrub in). He uses his high tech facility to make himself appear more learned and skilled; however, he rarely if at all used most of the instruments he advertises. Overall, I would never take my animal to him again and I feel sorry for anyone who does. more

He saved my cat's life! 7/22/2007

I took my cat to Dr. Sam, and he not only saved his life, but he just made a friend for life! I have worked for other vets in the past, and I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the hospital and the professionalism of his staff. Thanks to Dr. Sam, my Daniel is still happy and healthy. He was kind and caring both to my cat and to me. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. more

Great vet, great hospital 7/17/2007

This vet was recommended to me by a friend. I went there when my dog was sick, and was able to get an appointment fairly quickly. The staff was pleasant and caring, and the vet, known as Dr. Sam, took his time with my dog, then myself. He treated me as if I was a longtime client. I am now a longtime client and have recommended him to many others who were pleased as well. The hospital has the latest equipment and is always extremely clean. The groomers are excellent. I will continue to recommend this place to any pet owners I know. more

Worst Vet Ever!!! 7/6/2007

I worked for this man years ago and am sickened by the fact that he still practices. A few things people should know about him before trusting him to care for their animal. 1-when in doubt, recommend euthanasia is his motto, 2-His surgical procedures are completely unsterile (he once asked me to retrieve a surgical instrument from a pile of dirty instruments in a litter box in a sink because he wanted to use it in a surgery! When I refused, he told me I could just spray it with alcohol....I opened a fresh surgery pack and quit a short time later) and 3-Despite using the title DVM in the past HE IS NOT A DVM!!! He did not graduate a vet program in the US and earned a title of BVSc. If you don't believe me you can look him up on the state's website to check veterinary licenses at: http://www.state.nj.us/cgi-bin/consumeraffairs/search/searchentry.pl\r He's a sick man who when I left there years ago told me that I better not say anything to anyone about him. He should save his threats more

All Pets Vet Hospital - Best available! 10/30/2005

I just cannot say enough great things about this veterinarian! As a first time dog owner, I was neurotic about every little thing and dragged my dog to the vet constantly. Oftentimes if no medication was needed (just a little of the doctors time), I wasnt even charged a visit fee. The doctor is truly compassionate about animals. In fact, he has state of the art equipment that most vets dont have. Usually if your pet needs an expensive medical test on its heart, etc, youd have to drive miles to a specialty vet. Instead, this doctor bought all of the equipment for his office. He does surgery with lasers at your option which is less invasive and has a far shorter recovery time. He can easily be reached at off-hours in an emergency and will make arrangements to see you pet immediately if hes available. Theres no wait for an appointment, which is incredible considering how great of a vet he is. I would never trust my dog with another vet again! PROS: www.allpets.net CONS: more
