When my rat developed an abcess, I was at a loss as to where to go. My vet does not have the ability to care for rats, so I asked around & found that All Pets would see him. I made an appointment, brought him in, and was really quite quickly concerned. \r

Anyone who owns a small pet knows that anesthesia can be very dangerous for them. When I first adopted TC, I looked into neutering him. All the research I did advised against it, simply because just going under the anesthesia can kill them. So when I brought 3 year old TC to All Pets, and they immediately said that they would need to do surgery, I was concerned. I asked about the risk of anesthesia, and the doctor said "you can pick him up at 5:00". I answered, "well, but couldn't he die?" and he again said "you can pick him up at 5:00." I didn't really see that as an answer to my question... I was left without much of a choice, and TC had the surgery. \r
